Côte Dorchester

Some tables felt too close together, ie the round ones and there was no one way system. I meal wasn’t good, fatty rib eye, it was spotted by the manager who dealt with it well.

Lovely friendly service, great food, relaxing and pleasant environment. This is our third visit to Cote Dorchester and it's still lovely. Shame about the building works next door making so much noise, but Cote has no control over that. And we could have moved inside!

We have never had an unsatisfactory meal in any Côte restaurant, and - having recently reopened following the Covid hiatus - our local Dorchester establishment is as good as ever. Thank you to all the staff!

Very good food and attentive staff but paying separately for sauces bumped the bill up rather a lot.

Enjoyed a lovely evening with great staff. Superb calamari and the mains were good except personal choice, would prefer chunky chips rather than tiny French Fries. Pudding poor, would have preferred the cheese had it been accompanied with crackers rather than bread.

The food was delicious however, the portion sizes leave a lot to be desired! A steak for £22 and skinny fries?!Not even a Solitary grilled tomato or mushroom In sight. However, you can ‘buy’ a salad to go with it.... My salmon & ratatouille was lovely but again, I would say only3 mouthfuls of said ratatouille at the most. Such a shame as the staff are lovely & what you get is delicious- the mark up on the sale price must be absolutely huge....

Excellent. We will be back! A carpet would reduce overall noise levels. I do enjoy a casual chat with waiting staff, but of course Covid and visors are a great hindrance, and I guess face to face conversation has to be minimal for everyone's safety. It's hard to fault you!!

We stayed in a hotel near by, so we decided to give Cote a try as we'd only had Cote at Home previously. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a lovely woman called Sarah, and she looked after us so well, we ate in your restaurant every evening of our stay in Dorchester. A very charming, kind person, she made our evenings very enjoyable.

It was so good to be able to be back at Cote after the reopening. The standard was as high as ever and the welcome from the familiar staff was great. There appeared to be good social distancing and care taken to ensure that all hygiene precautions were taken. Thank you very much.

My wife and I were very happy with the experience. We had evening meals at the Dorchester Cote Brasserie on 5 consecutive evenings. I have coeliac disease and the gluten free menu gave me more than enough choice to have a different meal every evening. The staff handled the spacing of customers, needed to reduce the risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus, well. We are in our 70s and on most evenings they were able to give us a table for 2 away from the more crowded area of the restaurant.

Great service great food good value at very resable prices

Overall a good experience and good to see the restaurant reopened. Staff were friendly and service was good. Only a couple of points that concerned me; the menu does not appear to have changed in any way since our visit last year. While there is a good choice some variation would be welcome (perhaps the menu changes during the winter period?) as we would be unlikely to visit again soon if the menu stays the same. While the food was good my other niggle is the description of the butter and roquefort accompaniment to the steak as a "sauce"; it is merely a chilled butter patty with roquefort flavour. A more accurate description on the menu would have been appreciated especially given the "premium" pricing this item attracts. Finally I dislike the "optional" service charge automatically added to the bill; lots of places do this I know, but I would prefer complete control over this without risking embarrassment to your staff or ourselves if we disagreed with your arbitrary valuation of service. In this case we would have left a small amount more but didn't wish to get involved in the potential confusion this may have caused. Overall good food and friendly staff and I'm sure we will be back sometime.

Excellent. We come here around three times per year and it's perfect every time. We seem to have the same servers who I think are the managers. Our booth was reserved, the food delicious and the service attentive but not too attentive. So glad to see your Dorchester branch open again.

We were delighted that Côte in Dorchester is open for business again. We were impressed with the efforts they have made to keep everyone safe, and we enjoyed our meal as much as we always have in the past. The staff were all friendly and attentive. We shall be back!

An amazing meal, fabulous food, drink & service could not make any criticism at all. We even had free kir royales as it was my birthday. Love this restaurant highly recommended.
