I booked a table at Cote Dorchester for my sister's 16th birthday. All of the staff, including the managment team were lovely. They brought over a cake at the end of the meal and sung "Happy Birthday". I could not have wished for a better evening. Thank you Cote Dorchester!

Always a great experience at Cote Dorchester but on this occasion the service was very slow, some of the meals were incorrect and the Chateaubriand was incredibly tough. When we discussed this with the waitress we were told that the feedback regarding the Chateaubriand would be given to the Regional Manager and that was that!

All four in our party had a fantastic meal food is lovely as usual cooked to perfection. Staff very polite and helpful we love this restaurant.

Having booked table we were shown to table by kitchen door then toilet door. Finally shown table at front of restaurant. Why, when we had booked, weren’t we shown that table first?

Excellent meal, fast and efficient staff, pleasant and comfortable surroundings, our only quibble was that weekend meal costs are significantly higher than weekday costs, but very good food. We will return, but next time it will be on a a weekday.

As with all of our many visits to Cote Dorchester, we had a marvelous time. Very attentive and professional front of house staff and magnificent food served just as it should be with spot on timing from the kitchen, made this special birthday visit quite wonderful, and we could not have wished for or found better. We noticed that all of the other customers, including another three birthday celebrations, received the same level of service. We have rated honestly all headings with 5 stars including the noise level because even with near capacity covers and four birthday crowds we could still have good conversation, and I am a bit deaf! Well done Cote, Dorcheseer!

Quick decision to do late lunch/early dinner. Turned out to be a fine option. Quiet when we arrived at 4pm but great to look at fountains. We must have started a trend as restaurant filled up. Service and food always very good.

Attended with my cousins from Edinburgh. Very pleasant atmosphere, excellent service and lovely food accompanied by a bottle of Merlot! Would recommend to anyone who enjoys good food and wine!!!

Lovely meal thank you. We love Cote and we weren’t disappointed on this visit. Always a lovely atmosphere and good service. The only thing we don’t like is the gratuity added automatically.

As usual the months specials looked really good. Our booking was for 7:15pm and although we both ordered the Scallops, there was only 1 portion left, so we shared this together with calamari. Our mains were both from the May specials too - I chose the chargrilled lamb chops which were excellent and my partner chose the poussin, but unfortunately he had to send it back as the chicken was still a bit raw in the middle. The problem was quickly resolved when they brought him a fresh plate that he enjoyed. Shortly after we arrived, the restaurant filled up, and there were engineers going in and out of the kitchen. Given that there must’ve been a problem, the staff were lovely as usual and everyone was served quickly.

Surprisingly good and authentic French cooking for a U.K. Chain: perfectly cooked magret de canard, outstandingly good creme caramel. As good as you would get in a lot of mid-price Paris restaurants (I live in Paris). Outstanding service from an attentive waitress

Had a very nice evening at Cotes. Even though the restaurant was very busy we couldn't fault anything. Once again we all came to the conclusion Cotes is the best place to eat in Dorchester.

We have been to this restaurant many times before but the experience we had last night was below par. There were many new staff who were not the same quality as our previous experiences. They were far less friendly than usual and the dishes were almost thrown on our table rather than placed. The experience was not helped by the fact that we usually go to Cote because we all like our steaks. They only had one sirloin left!! When it came to the bill I noticed that the 4 of us were charged for 5 main courses. Although it was refunded there was very little by way of an apology. It was a great shame because we have had many good evenings there in the past.

Very disappointed in the service at this restaurant. I had pre booked a certain table weeks ahead for mother’s day in the special requests details and I have spent many times at this restaurant and spent hundreds of pounds in the past going here. Today was a big mistake from when we arrived we were ushered to a tiny cramped table with people seated too close together, the other option we were offered was the seating area we originally requested if we ate quick and got out of the seat for others who had pre booked (allowed to do so due to two more attending) It was a chaotic frenzy with babies screaming, old people coughing and a draft from the main windows by our table. We felt rushed the whole time and what was supposed to be a special occasion was a nightmare dining experience. It completely put me off going here again. I will be writing a review for trip advisor about this experience.

The food was excellent and atmosphere was really pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. I would have preferred to leave a cash tip. I asked if we could leave a cash tip and was told I couldn't. I am sure the website said this was optional. That is my only complaint as it was rather steep.

Visited the Dorchester outlet for the first time - 35th wedding anniversary. Complimentary wine on arrival followed by outstanding food from the great value prestige menu. Excellent service in a lively convivial atmosphere made for a wonderful evening. Although not local to the area we shall certainly make share we visit again soon- thank you everyone

We use Cote Brasserie quite often. The Dorchester branch is one of the best: The staff and management are extremely efficient and welcoming. Superb reception. Food last evening was particularly good. Steak cooked exactly to my order and the trouble's Monk fish was delightful. All in all thoroughly recommended.

We are always find the food and ambience excellent in Dorchester. Until they stop putting 12 1/2% service charge on the bill without asking, they’ll never get all stars ticked by me. It’s an arrogant assumption which irritates the hell out of me! Staff are really friendly and helpful but who in these parts gives a tip higher than 10%? Those that shut up and pay up presumably :) The answer is to refuse to pay it and then give a gratuity that you want to give.

We all enjoyed dinner, cooked to perfection, a very varied menu. The staff were very attentive, from being met at the door, to serving the food, and checking that everything was Ok. We also had free gin and tonics as regular customers as long as we ate from the ala carte menu. We will be back.

Food is reliably good every time we visit. Staff , particularly Calvin, are always polite & accommodating Brilliant all round. This applies to all Cotes that we visit, Dorchester, Bournemouth & Ealing
