Excellent over all with great staff and delicious food. Lovely atmosphere too with everyone enjoying themselves. What else can say except thank you all for today's experience.

Friendly staff , good service and accommodating over the one extra in our party. Food was really good for adults and the children enjoyed theirs too.

Lovely reception and lively comfortable setting. Wine was very good and value for money. Orders a little mixed up and food average (saggy salad), but overall a good evening out.

Very good service and very good food. All the staff were pleasant and helpful even though it was Mothering Sunday and were very busy. We didn't feel rushed.

Good food and service. We were seated upstairs which was very noisy as there were lots of large groups. Will definitely return but ask for a quietly table.

Nice food, excellent ambiance. Th staff was very helpful. The view from the second floor towards the Cathedral is absolutely stunning. Ask for a second floor table!

Good window table (not requested) . Children's menu helpful.March fish special was appreciated by my wife . Creme caramel to die for. Service friendly and efficient.

Good service, good food. Waiting staff seemed stretched and stressed though. Limited menu for children, could do with at least 6 choices. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and would recommend anyone.

The service was very fast and friendly and they suggested a good wine to match the meal. Lovely view of the cathedral and the food was delicious!

Excellent food and service, overlooking the Cathedral green. The French onion soup was really good as was the main course. I think pretty good value given the quality of the establishment.

Lovely Sicilian waiter. Very buzzy atmosphere. Had seafood linguine which was full of seafood. Would most definitely go again. Lunch menu is very cost effective.

Always love this restaurant. The food is always of a high standard and very tasty. The staff are always friendly and service is always good and we have never had to wait ages for food as you do in some restaurants.

Good service, decent food at a very reasonable price (Whitebait starter came in a good portion, seafood linguine was delicious although could have had more seafood, crumble dessert was delicious, also small but for £13 not bad at all!)

Great service, delicious meal in very pleasant surroundings. A convivial atmosphere in which to dine and entertain a business contact where we able to talk and relax in comfort.

Super meal - good, quick, service - table attractively prepared . Well staffed. One very, very, small point. A jar of prepared fruits/preserves was on the table when we arrived. Unscrewing the lid revealed that the inside of the lid/rim would have been better presented had it been cleaned. Thank you.

We were well looked after from the moment we arrived and taken to our table upstairs. Our waitress was very efficient taking a genuine interest.

We enjoyed our meal at Cote,as always, and the early bird menu is great value!Ask for a table with a view of the cathedral,which is illuminated after dark!

Lovely place to dine, great atmosphere, very friendly attentive staff and excellent food. The only minus is , I took my daughter there for breakfast a couple of weeks ago and they had no cafetière coffee as they were all broken, Ann last night even though we dined early that had run out of confit of duck. ( my favourite). It won't stop me returning.

Having visited the Cathedral first it was the perfect place to go for lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed the friendly welcome from the staff and the lunch .

Busy and a bit hectic - but very pro and fish stew to die for. Also a first class lemon tart and seriously good coffee. Well done!

We had a lovely table by the window. The food and service were excellent and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. We were not sure about which wine to order and one of the waiters advised us and offered us a taste before we ordered, and the choice was right!

Very nice food and good quality service from staff. However it was busy even on a Thursday, so there was a lot of background noise.

Great food. Great service. We also used our free bottle of wine offer which was fab! I am yet to have a bad meal here and would highly recommend it!

As always we had a most enjoyable and satisfying lunch today at the Exeter Cote. We will be back next time we are shopping in Exeter!

Great food, good choices with lots of my favourite items. The staff, as always, were very helpful and friendly and provided excellent service, which I felt deserved more than the service charge.

The food was very good, I had the cod goujans which were lovely and my partner chose the steak which was very tender, both dishes were filling but not over filling. The service excellent, the waiter was very polite without over egging his presence. All in all an excellent dining experience.

Reward for as very miss leading. I went for lunch as a birthday treat thinking I could have something from the breakfast menu. I wasn't aware they only did that on the weekends. Then I went to choose a 2 course meal but was told I then couldn't have my reward because I needed to choose from the other menu! So no free drinks and not the choose of food I wanted !!

We had a really enjoyable evening with good food and atmosphere. Even better the free bottle of wine offer. The only down side was that we weren't able to have window table as requested at the time of booking, but a cosy corner table was the next best thing. Looking forward to our next visit!

The restaurant is always busy but staffed correctly to cope. I've been many times and I've never had a bad meal or experienced poor service.
