Food was delicious, some of the best I've had in Exeter. The view of the Cathedral from the window was stunning, and the service was friendly and efficient. Overall, I was very impressed. Thank-you.

There's more to vegan food than Risotto and lentils . The meat eaters in my family were fine and really enjoyed their meal however I was left underwhelmed with my plate full of lentils. I've literally never seen so many lentils in my life. I feel it wasn't a stew, like the menu implied, as the lentils were dry and without any stew sauce. In future you should call it plate of lentils with vegetables haha. I could have easily knocked that up for myself in a few minutes. I don't want to sound moany and I know you're not a vegan/veggie restaurant but if you don't want to get left behind you should really invest a little more time in the two vegan main options you do have making them not so boring😴!! On the light side I've definitely exceeded my protein intake for the day, so thank you for that.

As ever a very pleasant lunch and the birthday greetings on dessert plate was a lovely gesture. The pre lunch drink of Kir was really nice too. No wonder the restaurant is so popular, everything is 5star+

The waiter serving us could hardly speak English can’t came across very rude and that he wasn’t happy at all.

Very thoughtful staff, who made our daughter’s 18th birthday dinner delightful. The food was tasty and we all enjoyed our selections. The Hake was a winner! Our table had to have one of the best views in Exeter, as the sun lit up the Cathedral. Couldn’t have asked for a better location to celebrate. Thanks.

Very pleasant meal, efficiently served and enjoyed by all of us (there were three in our party). Would have been five stars but for a) Waitress was professional but a little abrupt. b) The green beans were undercooked and c) I don't expect bread to be charged as an extra.

Friendly helpful service and we received complimentary drinks on arrival for my husband’s birthday which was a nice touch. A favourite restaurant of ours as food is always fresh and good menus to view each month.

had a really great evening. food and service excellent, with really friendly attentive staff and delicious menu choice.

We love Cote and always have a lovely meal experience here. I would have given the evening 6 stars if it wasn’t for only an avoidable mistake regarding my meal. We immediately told the waiter and they sorted the problem efficiently and were very sympathetic and understanding. We will definitely be back again.

Had dinner at Cote this evening with my dad for his birthday. Anca was our server and was simply amazing. From the minute we walked in my dad was made to feel like the most important person there! We were given complimentary drinks to celebrate. Food was so delicious. Anca was so helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and was able to guide me in choosing with my allergy. I can’t wait to return! Thank you so much.

Really good visit tonight, great food, attentive staff. Maybe a little bit more about the dishes would be great, e.g. here is the seabass its flavoured with ...... just so i know a bit about what im getting, to add to the service as well, it was quite vinegary (not moaning) so was curious to know about the dish. x

Attention to detail from the professional staff. Lovely setting and lunch delicious.

Good view from window, the fougasse was very bland, the chicken liver parfait was very plain, roast pork belly was very nice apart from the inedible twigs and the 10oz sirloin steak was the worst bit of steak I have ever had the displeasure of having to try and chew my way through, when the waiter asked if everything was ok, I did say it was very chewy, but nothing was done or said about it, not very impressed and will not be returning, I expected more!

Generally a very enjoyable evening 5 out of 6 meals excellent how ever no 6 fillet was not good and had to be returned the Sam steak was returned which was not edible so did spoil my birthday hence no 6 stars

We had such a great meal at Cote Exeter last night. Service by. Mariana was brilliant and warm. We felt so well looked after.

All very good. Only down point was veggie sausages were nuked/burnt. Didn't’ Say anything so no chance of chef putting it alright. They are the best veggie sausages in the land usually!

Never had a bad meal at Cote and staff are always friendly and helpful.

Too noisy, worst bit of chewiest sirloin steak I have ever had, could have gone to Spar and got a better piece, informed the waiter, when someone finally came to ask if our food was ok, but nothing was done or said, not even an apology. Will not be returning or recommending! Very disappointed!

Really good food in a very nice location just opposite the cathedral. I would recommend the summer special Pavlova as a dessert, but everything is very tasty.

Disappointing. Used to be my fav place for family celebrations but the waiting staff seemed more interested in flirting with each other, steak was cold, service slow and a crying baby at 9 o’clock at night spoilt it
