Côte Restaurant Exeter

Fantastic food, great atmosphere, wonderful location, and great service. My steak was cooked to perfection and as for desert, I can highly recommend the crepes! We will most definitely return.

We had an excellent meal, the food was delicious, it was a very relaxed, lovely atmosphere and the service was excellent. We have been to a number of Cote restaurants and never been disappointed

Well presented and tasty two courses from the a la cartel menu. Plenty of choice. It seems main meals are a complete meal but the menu does not necessarily say so. Should have asked waiter rather than ordering extras. Good service and all in all enjoyable.

Lunched with 2 others and meal and service fine.Had an issue with one meal which was resolved satisfactorily.Atmosphere excellent as was setting overlooking Cathedral.Will go again.

We were a party of 5. As ever, the food was great, the service excellent, and the atmosphere was lively. I don't know of another chain restaurant that is so consistently good.

Really enjoyed the mean here. Staff were very attentive, courteous and professional. Food was excellent - had the 10th anniversary set meal. All three courses were great, as was the atmosphere.

The service was excellent, the food was of good quality, well prepared and presented. They also cater very well for people like myself with a food allergy.

Good food and busy atmosphere - no frills enjoyable meal with friendly and attentive service. Would return but try to book on a quieter evening.

We are always pleasantly surprised. The food is delicious. We sat outside although we had booked a table inside. The two/three course menu is great. We both had mackerel on sourdough as starters and sea bass as main. Delicious ! Service perfect ! 👍 Only downside is that there's noisy building work everywhere but nothing to to with Côte.

Visited for first time following trip advisor feedback. Good value, excellent food and attentive service. Seating outside if weather permits. Highly recommended - doubt you'll be disappointed.

Great location, interesting layout and excellent staff. Unusually for Côte we had to complain about one of the main courses that we chose, as the steak was very tough. Not a problem, another one was supplied without fuss, which was perfect. When the bill arrived, no charge was made for that course. Thank you Côte, great customer service

Food was good, service was ok as it was quite busy. We felt crammed in as we were a table of two, with tables of two either side.

Food good as always, prompt service, nice friendly staff as usual. Good value set menu and wine. Nothing to find fault with even though they had some large parties in to serve.

Arrived early and was very happy to be accommodated without delay. Food very good as usual. Service excellent. The chain never fails to deliver a delicious meal. I have eaten in many branches and quality never varies.

Fabulous location with view of cathedral. Delicious brunch, especially the vegetarian sausages and coffee. The staff couldn't have been nicer - excellent service. Thank you.

We had a lovely meal at Cote Exeter, there was a wide choice of meals available including a special celebration menu which my son enjoyed, particularly the duck main course. My goats cheese and roasted vegetable salad was delicious but I would like to see more vegetarian options on the menu. The service was, as always, excellent.

Friendly staff, they all seem to help each over and nothing is too much trouble. Lovely meal, took an friend there for the first time and she had the Breton Fish Stew which she loved.

What an amazing position. Delicious food as always with Cote. Would def recommend if u are visiting Exeter. Lovely place for breakfast - looking into Cathedral.

Lovely atmosphere. Efficient friendly staff and great food. We have eaten here several times and the food is consistently good with a wide ranging menu to suit all tastes

As always, an excellent meal. Can't fault the food or the service. We'll be returning again soon and hope to try something different off your very extensive menu.

Starters were very good. We all had ribeye steak for main course. Though cooked very well (i.e. rare was rare) the meat itself was not great - a good third of it was gristle/inedible. Service was fine but relatively high service charge in your bill (12.5%). It is optional but prefer to be left to decide for myself how much service is worth.

we allways enjoy this resraurant. the staff are very friendly and attentive and keep every thing clean. just one observation, the dinner plates could be much hotter . the duck was very good !! thank you.

The food was well cooked and presented my only annoyance was that it felt like a "fast food" restaurant. But if you're in a hurry - it's great!!

The service was attentive, but not excessive. The menu was very good offering a good choice of dishes. The food was good quality & well cooked & it was excellent value. We will visit again & tell friends about the good experience.

We enjoyed a relaxed evening at Cote Exeter. The early evening menu was really good value with plenty to choose from, the food when it arrived was good - well cooked and flavoured. The service was attentive but not pushy, we were given plenty of time to chat after our meal and not rushed out. A good choice of venue to catch up with a friend.

Very good food, the service was a little slow as they were busy. It's generally the same whenever we go and they never quite seem to have enough staff.

Great building, great staff, great food, great ambience- in short- everything that one has come to expect from Cote. Highly recommend a visit Staff brilliant!!

One of my favourite restaurants! The staff are always so friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious as always! My fillet steak was cooked to perfection and we had a great selection of wines. A very happy customer indeed!

We requested a table by the window and that's what we got! The service was friendly and efficient, and the restaurant is in a great location.

Location and food were very good. The staff all friendly and efficient. The only one small drawback was the cold air from the open front door.

As always a good evening, food as ever good and a thanks to the staff who changed our table from upstairs to one down stairs when asked. We'll be back again, and again...

Lovely place, I attended with 3 friends today to celebrate my birthday, however food had to be returned as cold. No apology. Have been many times and had no problems. Also ice was automatic put in the Noilly Pratt drink without asking.

On our visit we had the usual good experience. The special early menu Is excellent value. The chicken breast was moist and tasty and the peach crumble rounded of an excellent evening.

Great value food - we had the set lunch. The portion sizes were not as big as if we had selected from the main menu but were plenty big enough, and we were able to have three courses as we were not too full. All courses were very good and served quickly. Pleasant surroundings overlooking Exeter Cathedral.

Very good. As you can see we go often. Can never fault the food. Although they did overcharge us it was rectified once the team were made aware of the error.

We went for lunch on a Sunday - Lovely view, friendly service, well prepared and executed French cuisine, and good value for money - Recommended

Always wonderful food and a good atmosphere. Staff are polite and friendly. Preferably book if you wish to go upstairs for the view of the Minster.

The September menu offered an excellent choice to suit what my wife and I would have wanted from any restaurant in Exeter and we look forward to seeing what will be on the October menu.
