If I'm going on somewhere else after dinner I usually allow extra time, this was needed last night as it was fairly busy. However the service once started was efficient with no problems.
Lovely food, great service Table booked with no issues, Great value Will definitely be going back soon, Great location and good to do the set menu dea
Great to have a little bit of France in Gloucester. Good food, friendly staff. Lovely way to celebrate Bastille Day! Third visit already and will be back.
My partner and I together with friends spent a really lovely evening on the 17th of July. The food, drink and overall ambience was a true pleasure. The young ladies who waited on our table were excellent. They could not have been more attentive and helped create a really lovely atmosphere. We look forward to our next visit. Many thanks again, Tom and Amanda
The restaurant was immaculately clean and tidy, staff were very helpful and attentive. Never had breakfast with you before but will most certainly come back for another in the very near future. Location of new Gloucester Cote makes it very difficult as to whether to go to Cheltenham or Gloucester - both excellent.

Wife and son for a late Sunday lunch. Starters arrived fine. Mains for myself and son arrived, but wife informed hers would be 5 mins late. 15 mins later, wife informed chef had burnt and is re-doing. 15 mins after that, a fish dish arrived (wife is vegetarian), sent back and informed not to bother. Many staff standing around doing nothing. Would NOT return
Great atmosphere , lovely food fairly good vegetarian choice , would def return Not cheap but quality of food is worth it. Staff are excellent
Fabulous food, I would recommend it to my friends. The staff were lovely and made us feel special and took care of us. I will be coming back soon
I visited with friends on Thursday 29th June. The service was friendly and efficient from the time we arrived until we left. The wine was really good and the food was outstanding. will visit again,
My partner requested a blackcurrant and lemonade but you did not stock any blackcurrant but the waitress charged for the black currant and lemonade instead of the Diet Coke she ended up with....,which was lower in price....excellent customer service
Lovely food, a little salty and my partner found that the half chicken didn't come with enough sauce (despite paying extra for it). We went for our anniversary meal and booked well in advance, but were placed right by the door which was cold, unatmospheric and I felt like I was constantly in the way. Shame considering it was for a special occasion. The staff were friendly for the most part.
Cote is very Authentic French cuisine and never fails to deliver. You can tell the staff are new but was expected Be aware of the optional service charge automatically added to your bill, we thought it a bit much at 12.5%.
Good menu choices and food excellent. One member of our party ordered the veal - a large piece of veal arrived in a jus with a sprinkling of watercress on top - no vegetable, no potatoes, and very expensive. That was disappointing but the rest of our meals were lovely.
Service was poor, ordered sparkling wine. This Was left On the table for us to open and pour. No one checked if it was the correct bottle that we ordered. Plates were not cleared away before main arrived. Once arrived they were still Left on the table. Main meal was highly seasoned and also came well Done when requested pink. So sent back. Asked for tap Water, several Times took 20 mins for this to Arrive. Once good was re ordered it tasted lovely, just shame about the service
Excellent service, waitress was very attentive and the food was as always excellent. We have tried a few Cote Brasserie resturants and always found the food to be excellent and each resturant to have a lovely ambience.
A friend and I ate at 6:30pm on a busy Friday eve. The service was efficiant and friendly and the food was hot and tasty. The free caraffe of fresh water was a nice touch and the quality white linen napkins were also a great idea. I would deffinately reccomend it to anybody who enjoys excellant food and good service
The best food we have had in chain restaurant. The menu was varied and inviting. The service was quick and friendly. The only reason this is not a maximum is because the acoustics made it difficult to hear each other over the general noise of other diners on a busy Saturday night. Hope a Cote Brasserie is opened near Maidstone soon
Very disappointing. My sister and I were taking my mum out for her birthday but the service was very poor. Waited ages for plates to be taken away despite at least four staff milling around and our waitress even looked over at our table then promptly went off and did something else. My mum's dessert had to go back as it wasn't set and looked curdled. It was replaced and that was fine but we were still charged for it. When I asked for the bill we waited a long time but the waitress who we asked disappeared to the other side of the restaurant and obviously wasn't getting our bill. Another waitress finally came over to us and I said we had asked for the bill but hadn't got it. Of all the staff she was the most efficient as she went and got our bill immediately and even apologised for the wait. It doesn't matter how good the food is when eating out because if the service is lacking it does ruin the occasion. Won't hurry back there.
Excellent evening we had the 10th anniversary menu with free glass of champagne where the choice was very good - everything was well coked and the staff were very attentive and professional - great night out with a great atmosphere in the restaurant
Food was very good. Probably the best creme caramel I've ever had. Service was attentive and helpful but a let down a little by a couple of things. Oil and balsamic wasn't on hand for example when the bread arrived and by the time the waitress had found some the bread was nearly all gone. I'm never keen on imposed gratuities and whilst the bill said it was optional the fact that it's on there always grates me. I didn't want to create a fuss in the company I was with however so let it go.
I was welcomed on entrance offered a choice of seats, I chose a booth which was perfect. Food was delicious, all 4 of our party could not fault it. I was brought the wrong sweet and charged for a more expensive one but a minor detail I guess. Been to three different Cote restaurants and you do keep a theme and standard.
Food OK Portions on the small side for the price. Service friendly but cold have been more attentive. Had to give reminders after a while to bring drinks that had been ordered etc.
Overpriced for what it is - pretentious and ungenerous, small portions! The 12.5% service charge is optional so you should have the option at payment if you want to pay the gratuity rather than a gratuitous assumption with it being on the final bill. The title is misleading and does not represent a true French brasserie! Will not be returning!
Food was excellent, goats cheese salad and a nice of glass of wine, an ideal Sunday lunch. My partners Croque madam looked gorgeous as well
Great food , great service.lots on the menu that we want to go back and try , wine was a little bit expensive I thought but otherwise loved it
Food is lovely, wine list is good and the service is friendly. Went in a family group of four and we would highly recommend. Lovely to see one open in Gloucester.
Evening meal with my son & his partner. Great service by friendly & attentive staff. Fabulous French onion soup !! This great place to eat at the Quays is becoming a firm favourite.
Excellent yet again. Set course well worth the money. Enjoyable early evening dinner. Staff very friendly and efficient could not have done enough for me
The food was delicious. Slight problem when we were brought wrong wine but that soon got resolved. Attractive restaurant and overall a very good experience.
Cote at the docks in Gloucester is a new addition to the many eateries here. Very pleasant overall. Good service. Chips cold, sent back, hot chips arrived, everyone happy
Côte never fails to deliver excellent food, good customer service and value for money. Our first time to the Gloucester restaurant which is tastefully decorated and had a nice buzz.Food was very good as was wine.We will return soon.Well done Gloucester!!
Our first visit and found it to be a have a really good atmosphere, the staff were very friendly and the choices on the menu were excellent and very reasonably priced. Our food was delicious and we will definitely be returning :-)
The staff were great service very good despite the restaurant being very busy the food was excellent I only have one small moan the tables in the area we were sat are very very close together which I understand because it's not the biggest place but you almost feel like your sat with someone you don't know
Staff are accommodating & very friendly, meal was cold , they apologised and give us complimentary puddings . We will be back because the customer service is amazing 😉
Gorgeous food, great staff. The only slight thing to let it down was our wrong starters were brought out so they had to make some fresh but it was delicious so worth the wait!
Very good quality food and service. We had the set menu which was excellent value. Overall a really enjoyable evening. No doubt we will go back again soon!
Very friendly and efficient staff and great food. We had a lovely meal and throughly enjoyed our visit. I would definitely recommend it to others.
It was a very busy hut Saturday night so was a bit worried- but needn't have been. Both food and service were faultless- will definitely be back
The service was helpful, attentive and nothing was too much trouble and the food was very good! We had outside seating which was really nice, highly recommended and we will go back again!
Great food and atmosphere. Friendly staff and a good service. Service charge added on to the list of items and then included in the bold type total a con. Nearly tipped extra on top of the total before noticing nearly £10 was added on for a £70 meal already
Fantastic!! Great menu with great tasting food. Staff were very nice too. One small gripe was that the drink menu wasn't that good - unless you want wine!
Lovely dinner with the family celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary my mother in law's birthday and an early father's day. Excellent food and drinks menu and good service. Highly recommended
Excellent food on a par with Brasserie Blanc, lovely attentive staff, excellent value lunch / early evening menu , no doubt we will be visiting again in the near future.
Lovely staff and the food was delicious! The one very small negative was that it was quite loud but that's only because of how popular it was. Will definitely be going again :)
Very good except we were not told that a dish was unavailable until we ordered it. Liked the range and quality of the menu choices.
Excellent food every course was well cooked. Would definitely go back again for another meal. The wine was quite expensive though. The service was really good too.
Fantastic food will most definitely be going back , the service was great and very good wine choices , would recommend the king prawns to start and the lamb for main .
Service was excellent as was the food. Gave a score of 5 instead of 6 purely on how noisy it was. Not quite the ambience I would expect in a French 'restaurant '. Maybe due to being a Friday evening! Would certainly us again........... on a Monday perhaps.
Food excellent. This was our second visit to the Gloucester Quays restaurant and the service was a little slow on this particular occasion. Other than that we had an enjoyable evening.
The food at this restaurant is really good. It is more expensive than places I usually go but was worth it for the quality. The service was good, no complaints but nothing exceptional either. My only grip that turns me off is that a 12.5% service charge is automatically added to the bill. I have a real dislike of places that do that as I really like to tip based on the service that I have received and don't like to have the award conversation asking for it to be removed. It also makes me wonder about whether the staff actually receive all of the tip that I have paid or whether the restaurant takes their cut too.
