As we have come to expect, the food was excellent. Sometimes the noise level can be a problem but not this time, there being fewer customers than usual. Service was spot on, including flexibility with the complimentary wine - my wife does't drink chardonnay which was the white on offer.

Came here for a birthday brunch. They were really accommodating and had really good service, we had a lovely waitress!

Great staff, great food. Perfect for a pre theatre meal Guildford restaurant is a 5 minute walk from the Guildford Yvonne Arnaud. Early Bird menu is excellent value for money.

We were a large noisy party of teachers and cote were wonderful from not making us toe the line and pre order to the totally charming waiter aided by the manager. We had a great evening the wine kept coming the service was slick and the food excellent. All the plates went back clean! Our veggies were very appreciative of the targeted menu. Service was good, duck was appalling good chef would never of sent from the kitchen. Calamari breadcrumbed? Why not just dusted in seasoned flour

Slow service, 40 mins to order food with kids. Food ok. Kids menu fine but no kids desserts. Wouldn’t take away empty glasses and bottles.

Greasy calamari Ribeye steak wasn’t the normal Ribyey, one portion of hot chips one Luke warm, the best part of the meal was the tomato salad.

As ever a most enjoyable informal Friday evening meal at Cote Guildford. Not the best table in the restaurant but the food was excellent - chosen from the Premium set menu - and friendly and attentive service by Christian. We'll be back.

This was my first visit to Cote. The staff were very professional and friendly but that's where the praise ends I'm afraid. My chargrilled chicken was tough like cardboard but I was too hungry to send it back. The time we had to wait between courses was also rather long. I was also a bit disappointed that I was suppose to ask upon arrival for the complimentary bottle of wine and even if I had there were too many restrictions to qualify for it.

Actually faultless from booking to leaving. Always helpful, friendly, great food, thoroughly enjoyed it, no more needs to be said.................................,,,,,,,,,,.................................................perhaps one last thing, thank you so much!

The restaurant was very busy, being Mother's Day weekend, & so we had to wait a few minutes for our table , but the manager was very attentive and made sure we had complimentary drinks. Well done Cote - customer service, that's all it takes to make a great experience. I shall definitely be back again.

Had a lovely lunch today. The set menu is so varied. Lovely goats cheese and ratatouille followed by chicken. Great atmosphere and warm service, as always.

Such a lovely restaurant with a lively ambience. We were there to celebrate a big birthday and it was a nice surprise to be given a glass of sparkling rose on the house . The food was delicious and the customer service fantastic ,tentative yet not overpowearing . We will definitely be back .

Quality of food and service were great; however, quite noisy (admittedly it was mother's day) and they were unable to serve mussels as a starter...but could as a main course????

Another delightful visit ,we continue to expect the best and the best is what we get .The guildford branch is the best Cote we visit and it never lets us down .With EVA in charge this makes for an even better treat

Great food very hot and delicious. I had the mussels as a main course and it was very good. The service was brilliant , so very happy with a good lunch and great atmosphere. Booked on line with no problems and was very good value for money.

Lovely bustling atmosphere, food excellent and hot, service good. prices ok. Always a good choice. Wine by the glass was too chilled for a Bordeaux and needed opening up would be only criticism.

My dining experience yesterday was not good. The calamari was greasy, the steak was far too peppery and the waiter dropped my fries and had to get another portion from the kitchen.

Friendly helpful staff. We had a slight problem with one of the desserts , however the staff dealt with it efficiently and satisfactorily. The food was declicious and the offer of free cocktails was a nice touch. The noise level rose to a rather high level though, meaning we had to shout to each other in order to hold a conversation. Lovely location in the town.

Best tasting and best value breakfast in Guildford by a country mile. Service friendly and efficient as always. Worth booking ahead for breakfast especially at weekends as it gets busy around 9:30 - 10:00. New "prestige" menus for lunch and dinner look tempting. Haven't tried them yet but will do so very soon.

Delicious food and great service at Cote in Guildford as usual. We eat here very often as the standard is so reliable and consistent. A very enjoyable lunch making a welcome break from shopping!

Lovely brunch. Great food and lovely way to start weekend

Excellent pre theatre meal . All the Staff were welcoming and food served was delicious , served in good time and very reasonably priced . I've eaten in various Côtes before now and never had a bad experience . I particularly like the fact that they also offer an earlier serving time than many other restaurants. When visiting towns for the day or weekend and everything shuts at 5 or 5 :30 but you might want to enjoy a pleasant sit down meal before a show starts at 7 then Côte offers a tasty menu at reasonable prices and in very pleasant surroundings .

The meal was excellent,looked very good and tasted even better,the staff were very friendly and helpful,the restaurant was busy but the service was still excellent. Would recommend this restaurant

Myself and a friend enjoyed our meal (2 courses £11.95) at Guildford Cote today and feel it was excellent value for money. The service was also good. Cote must be doing something right as the restaurants are always busy at lunchtime.

Brilliant group dinner - everyone was exceptionally helpful and the food was amazing, especially as our group was around 35. The only reason I have not given 100% is that the tables were a bit too close together, which meant waiting staff could not get to the end of the tables easily. We needed a bit more room but other than that it was faultless. Thank you very much.

Cote reminds me very much of a typical French Brasserie: with a ready availability of cosy two seater round tables and a convivial relaxing atmosphere. The food is very good, with a wide selection of dishes from which to choose - and the staff are just right; welcomingly friendly without being intrusive. Keep it up and we'll keep coming back.

We always enjoy Cote, usually for a big family brunch but of course yesterday was Valentine's so we gave it a try. I wouldn't say it was "cosy" but the food was great and the atmosphere happy and upbeat. You can't beat a good meal at Cote in the week.
