Slow service, 40 mins to order food with kids. Food ok. Kids menu fine but no kids desserts. Wouldn’t take away empty glasses and bottles.

Exceptional as always. Carolina is the most wonderful manageress ever, she has been there forever and it is testament to Cote's culture that someone that brilliant remains. All the staff are fantastic and the food is consistently excellent and good value. A lovely spot in the perfect location.

We enjoyed an excellent meal, served with friendliness and efficiency. The french onion soup and spinach and mushroom crepes were excellent, although I would have appreciated a greater number of vegetarian options. One small disappointment was the soup not being as hot as it might have been - and my husband's steak frites was served on an almost cold plate. These points may be small, but they mattered to us.

I always love coming here for the food, ambience, friendly staff and value for money. I've never been disappointed and I look forward to my next visit.

I asked at booking for a corner table but was told on arrival there have none! With a 7 week old baby we were placed in centre of restaurant. A busy spot. Unbeknown to us , this was our first visit to Guildford cote,there were many other seats free where we would have caused less disruption. The scrambled egg was more of an omelette and was not as good as Horsham or haywards heath cotes.

We had such a relaxing experience, the staff were very friendly yet professional at all times.The food arrived within minutes. Great breakfast for our family get together.

Wonderful cooked-from-scratch food you don’t find in any other chain. The staff go out if their way to make being at Cote a good experience. June specials were seasonal and tasted great.

The acoustics aren’t great when it’s busy but that seems quite normal these days!!! Good food and good service. I would definitely recommend Cote for lunch.

Friendly helpful staff. We had a slight problem with one of the desserts , however the staff dealt with it efficiently and satisfactorily. The food was declicious and the offer of free cocktails was a nice touch. The noise level rose to a rather high level though, meaning we had to shout to each other in order to hold a conversation. Lovely location in the town.

Excellent pre theatre meal . All the Staff were welcoming and food served was delicious , served in good time and very reasonably priced . I've eaten in various Côtes before now and never had a bad experience . I particularly like the fact that they also offer an earlier serving time than many other restaurants. When visiting towns for the day or weekend and everything shuts at 5 or 5 :30 but you might want to enjoy a pleasant sit down meal before a show starts at 7 then Côte offers a tasty menu at reasonable prices and in very pleasant surroundings .

We always enjoy good food at Cote, and this lunch was no exception. The restaurant was busy, but our reservation brought us a table for two immediately, and we drank our delicious, and complimentary, St Germain G&T's while waiting for mussels and steak. The sixth star has been withheld because our table was in a busy and rather noisy location, but the restaurant was too busy to ask for an alternative.

Both meals were very good and the wine was inexpensive but excellent! Would not hesitate to go there again. Breakfasts are also very good quality and value. Laurence

Fast efficient and friendly service. Drinks came quickly and food followed soon afterwards. The Formula breakfast is great value and very filling. Will be back again when in Guildford.

Excellent service & superb food. A total contrast to Cote Kingston! After yet another bad experience at the Kingston restaurant our visit to Guildford Cote was a great relief! We would definitely dine there again! P.

Superb restaurant, attentive staff, superb food, easy booking, definitely worth a visit.

Very disappointed, starters were good although expensive, mains came out cold, begrudge having to pay extra for potato, when £14.50 for a duck leg and a bit of cabbage is all you get, grossly overpriced, left hungry

Cote reminds me very much of a typical French Brasserie: with a ready availability of cosy two seater round tables and a convivial relaxing atmosphere. The food is very good, with a wide selection of dishes from which to choose - and the staff are just right; welcomingly friendly without being intrusive. Keep it up and we'll keep coming back.

Cote is consistently excellent. The atmosphere, the food and particularly, the service far outranks any other local restaurant.
