The food was excellent and the service first-class. Great location in Guildford near the castle. Wine list on the pricey side. Service charge added on.

The food was lovely and the waiting staff extremely polite. However we felt very rushed. The starters were served promptly which was great but then 5minutes after the main came out. We weren't really given enough breathing spaces between courses to the point where I asked my main to be boxed up to takeaway. From sitting down to bill we were in Cote for 45mins. Not really the relaxing meal out we were looking for. However for lunch! Absolutely love it ❤️

A great welcome, friendly staff and a great value for money lunch. A lovely way to spend Friday's. The 3 course lunch for £12.95 is unbeatable and there is always a good choice to suit everyone.

we had a very nice lunch. we were lucky as it was not as crowded as usual and we had a window seat. our waitress was from latvia and was both very attractive and interesting and charming, the whole experience was delightful and you can be sure we will be visiting again in the near future

Was given a choice of tables. Attentive and helpful waiter and as usual the food was good. My favourite light bite is the Tuna Nicoise it was every but as good as usual

The Cote in Guildford never fails to please and today was no exception. Lobster tails for starters and linguine for the main course. Everything was cooked to perfection, really enjoyed it all. We were looked after brilliantly,what more can I say ? Looking forward to our next visit.

As a birthday celebration five of us enjoyed an excellent meal with a complimentary Kir Royale at a quiet table as requested. The service as usual was very good.

Very good price and excellent service. Perhaps too cheap as the starters were very tasty but not much we fancied on the mains . We went for steak and chips the latter really good but steak tender enough just a bit bland - but for the price what can one expect . Good pud.

Good food, well served. Noisy when other clients talk so not a place for a private chat. Easy location with parking nearby and in Guildford town centre.

Excellent service and if all the Cotes I have visited by far the best food preparation and presentation. The creamed spinach is not watery as at Weybridge. Plenty of lamb on the main menu. First class and very attentive a pleasant staff

Excellent early evening meal - very good value and lovely food. Staff didn't hurry us as plenty of tables for the later sitting. Very buzzy atmosphere too.

My favourite restaurant. The staff are always efficient and very accommodating and the food is absolutely delicious, so tasty and beautifully presented. I cannot fault it.

Service was faultless, food was great. Only problem was a large party arrived towards the end of our meal who were incredibly noisy so we couldn't hear each other. Otherwise great experience as always there.

I'm giving Cóte 6/6 for nice food, helpful and friendly staff. This restaurant has a nice view as it's next to Guildford Castle. It's better to park a little bit further and just have a nice walk after food.

Friendly staff, very prompt service and with an excellent menu very reasonably priced. Advisable to book in advance as it is, not surprisingly, extremely popular.

Great food and staff couldn't have been more helpful especially as I am a coeliac. As well as providing a gluten-free menu, the staff member marked the specials and the light lunch/eve menu showing me which I could eat and how they could adapt certain dishes so that it would be gluten free. I had lots of choice!

Wonderful location by castle. Staff very friendly and fast service. Food very good as always at Cote. Crème Caramel to die for!coffee excellent to finish. All perfect!

Breakfast was very good,the eggs Benedict and eggs Florentine were excellent and we are looking forward to our next time for breakfast. Sadly we sat next to a table having a rather loud business meeting, but that was not the fault of the staff who were more than attentive.

Had a superb meal today served by a really lovely waiter who even had time in a very busy day to tell us about the wine we chose. I can thoroughly recommend the picpoul pinet, the tomatoes Breton and chocolate mousse.

Lovely atmosphere. Great service, spoilt slightly by very tough steak, which my wife tried to get thru, but eventually had to give up. Manager kindly rescued all, by removing from bill, but we'd rather pay, or return earlier. Apologies for any problems.

We had a delicious lunch of the Special Cod Main course and mouth watering dessert of the Special lemon Crème Brulee with raspberries. We also had a wonderfully refreshing Kir Royale on arrival which was complimentary through an email offer. Great, friendly and efficient service too. A pleasant lunch in Guildford. Cote, we find, normally gives good value and consistent quality. The menu suits our taste and the staff are very efficient. We also enjoyed a complimentary kir royals in celebration of the tenth anniversary of the chain.

We were celebrating my sons birthday and we all enjoyed our breakfast. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We come here often and would certainly recommend it to our friends and family.

We all enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I particularly would recommend the fish cakes and the creme caramel. Staff efficient and friendly. Compares well on value for money with other restaurants in Guildford.

The food was good but you don't get value for your money. They insist on a 12.5% tip which is added onto your bill. Whilst you can ask for this to be removed from your bill, it's not an easy process. Whilst I always make sure I leave a tip for good service after knowing the money will go to the staff, it shouldn't just be expected.

Excellent food , great service and superb pricing . The Duck breast main course was the best I've had ever ..Cote really offer something unique in the market and long may it continue.

Amazing food & atmosphere, apart from it was so hot in there, too hot to stay beyond main course. Had an email about free kir royal, which we presumed would be for both of us as they bought two over when we arrived but we were charged for one of them.

We live local and visit Guildford cote regularly, the special, 2 courses for £10.95 is excellent value for a mid week treat and always very good, staff are always friendly and the restaurant has a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Fantastic fathersday breakfast for me and the family would highly recommend very good for family's and the staff are very accommodating. Would visit again. Pj
