Went for soupe de poisson - only one left at 6.30 pm! Otherwise excellent. Steak frites up to usual standard and staff helpful and friendly.

Great food and atmosphere. Reasonable price with good size menu to choose from. I have never had a bad meal there, and find I am going about once a month. They also have a good selection of wine, and again the prices are reasonable.

Maybe warmer plates to help keep the food warm while eating? Service was very attentive. My steak was rare just as I had requested, and the pepper sauce had a good balance between creaminess and picancy.

We all enjoyed our meals,especially the starter of smoked mackerel and beetroot salad. The sevice was efficient and friendly. We will be going again in the not to distant future.

We had a wonderful breakfast at Cote and received perfect service. Our food arrived quickly and was delicious. This is a lovely restaurant with a restful atmosphere.

First time in for us. Food was good for the price and complimentary champagne on the fixed menu was a bonus. Service professional, friendly and attentive, but not too much. Enjoyed a relaxed evening, will be back.

Long wait for food. Requested no boudin noir and food came to table with it in. Food taken away and then plate came back out cold with bits of left over boudin noir on the plate. Not the best experience we have had there. Normally a faultless experience

We enjoyed the 10 years anniversary menu as it seemed appropriate for our 10 years wedding anniversary celebration. Every bite was delicious! The waitress even decorated the dessert plate with 'Happy 10 Years' which was a lovely touch. Thank you for a fab meal.

Very good meal, nice ambience, the mistake with the bill was quickly rectified. Fast service, good quality food always a pleasant choice for lunch. To be even better the coffee could be served in larger cups!

A popular and busy restaurant in Haywards Heath. Being part of a chain, the menu is common to all outlets so it means that the quality of food is of a very good standard. Portion sizes are generous and there is a good choice. Mid week in the summer saw the restaurant pretty full and the four wait staff worked their socks off! Very well done.

Staff were excellent as always. Everyone of them always give a great welcome and all are very quick to get the gluten free menu for my wife. food was fine as well

The food was good as usual but the service was rather disorganised and unattentive compared to previous visits. No one asked us if we'd like preliminary drinks - we had to chase and the main courses were brought to the table without first clearing away dishes/ plates from the first courses. The restaurant was not at all busy - maybe one third occupied.

My friend and I visited on Monday 17th and chose from the set lunchtime menu. The starters we had were nicely presented and tasted ok. I chose the grilled chicken with salad for my main course. The chicken was very bland and the salad was mostly lettuce and spinach leaves. I had to search hard to find the few small pieces of avocado and beans and the walnuts were almost no existent. All rather uninteresting! My friend chose fish with peas which she said was ok but nothing special. Neither of us felt the meal was worth the 12.5% service charge that is added automatically to the bill! We have eaten better in other Cotes and will not be rushing back to Haywards Heath. Maybe Café Rouge next time!

Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. Pleasant to sit outside for a change. Like the fact that there is a deal for the breakfasts. Good value all round.

We had an excellent lunch today comprising a party of 4 people. The food and service were excellent with a good choice of courses and the meals were reasonably priced. We will definitely return.

Four of us went out to dinner. The restaurant was very busy but the service was attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent as always. It is still my favourite restaurant in Haywards Heath. Thank you for a lovely evening we will return in the not too distant future.

Pleasant, friendly prompt service. Food was lovely in sensible portions. We chose from the "anniversary" menu and had a delightful evening. We will certainly return as Cote has been consistently excellent for us.

Lovely meal and good quality service, also a quiet table which we prefer. However, I feel that service charge should be discretionary not added on automatically.

Very enjoyable evening with excellent service. Most impressive was the fact that, having asked for a gluten-free menu, I was informed that the majority of dishes could be prepared gluten-free. This enabled me to choose from the entire menu. I was advised that, due to this, there might be a slight delay as it would be prepared freshly, but this was no problem. I would prefer to wait for freshly cooked, hot food than to have something that has been prepared well in advance and reheated! So, well done to Cote Brasserie!

We received a warm welcome, the food was excellent and fresh, beautifully presented , and a very good choice of wines! Altogether an extremely enjoyable experience!

The food is always first class, the staff very welcoming & professional, & the surrounding are smart yet relaxing. Gluten free / coeliacs are well catered for. Always look forward to going back.

We arrived 30mins early but were given immediate attention and offered a choice of table. The restaurant has very good service and good quality food. Highly recommended.

Nice venue and very attentive staff. Only small criticism is when my main arrived I wa a disappointed in that the quantity of the main item was very small. I was not looking for a whole plateful but the main part of the meal was tiny. I provided this feedback at the time and the staff listened and also offered a free dessert.

Good - but a noisy table with a 91 year old isn't great and while the waitress was lovely, the place seemed understaffed. Nice food tho.

Sat in the restaurant for my wife's 40th Birthday meal, a rare meal out without child and a first visit cote brasserie. Staff and food very nice but the wait between starters and main of 50 minutes was a little much, on the verge of asking if it had been lost somewhere, but then they appeared and the waitress apologised for the wait and the restaurant wasn't even near capacity. At one point, one of the chefs came up to serve food, short staffed? I think so. In addition the couple next to us arrived after us, had their starters after us and mains before us, yet had to send a steak back due to being 'inedible'. The easiest solution was to not pay the 'optional service charge' Not the greatest first impression....

Very disappointed. I ordered a chicken, avocado and walnut salad. What I received was a bowl of lettuce with a tiny amount of chopped walnut topped with some tough dry chicken. When I asked if there should be avocado in the salad, I was told 'yes, would I like 'some more'. I replied I hadn't found one piece of avocado. When the waitress checked with the kitchen she was told they had 'run out of avocado'. Wouldn't it have been better to have been informed when I had placed the order?

My wife and I visited the restaurant on a Friday evening. It was very busy, but the service was very good. The food was excellent, and not bad value. As in all such restaurants, the drinks are expensive.
