To begin your culinary experience, we recommend going for the chicken liver parfait served with toasted brioche and spiced apple chutney, followed by perhaps selecting from the plats rapides menu, like the duck confit (crispy duck confit with sautéed potatoes, button onions, garlic and parsley with a veal and thyme jus). It is also always advisable to sample one of their mouthwatering desserts and the traditional crème caramel set vanilla pod custard with dark caramel and cream, perfectly paired with a delicious dessert wine from their menu, perfectly finishes off the meal. Côte Brasserie has made a name for itself as providing exceptional French food throughout London and the United Kingdom, so book now to experience Côte Brasserie at Islington – you’ll be happy you did.
Excellent service and delicious food. For a chain restaurant you won’t get better. Atmosphere is warm and welcoming and staff are friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.
Excellent service and food as usual at this restaurant. Friendly and efficient staff. Ideal for a visit to Saddlers Wells. We always eat here before the performance.
always love the experience at Cote islington, manager is lovely and all the people working there are also very nice , all round ... perfect experience Cathy
We were a group of 8, including one vegetarian and one with a lactose and gluten intolerance. The choices were wide and varied and we all enjoyed our meals. Though busy, the restaurant was quiet and comfortable and the staff pleasant and helpful without being intrusive.
I visit this branch of Cote on a fairly regular basis. Staff are always friendly and helpful. On this occasion the two of us were offered a table for four, this meaning we had more space which is always a bonus. The restaurant wasn't full but was fairly busy. Service was excellent with no sense of rushing us as you get in some establishments. Food was up to the usual good standard. I have been to various Cote restaurants in and out of London but I think Islington Green is my favourite.
My partner and I were in Islington to see a play at Almeida and decided to have dinner at Cote en route. We were welcomed warmly and had a delicious dinner that didnt break the bank.Ive never had steak at Cote before but my minute steak was absolutely delicious and was served with chips and a small green salad. My partners had half a chicken served with potato gratin and green beans. These dishes were both from the Weekend Specials menu and at £10.95 were fantastic quality as well as being tasty.
Côte Islington has been an often visited favourite of mine. I have brought various friends & family for lunches & dinner. Once again, delicious food, attentive service & a relaxed atmosphere all contributed to a lovely small birthday dinner.
You always know what to expect at Cote - basic reliable food. Five of us took lunch - 4 steaks & mussels plus starters. The steaks were cooked just about ok - good quality meat but a little dry. Not poor enough to send back but equally not good enough to really enjoy. The size of the starters are quite small - 4 prawns in the garlic prawns for instance at £8 seemed a bit steep. Total bill including the tip (which is placed on the bill) for 5 was almost £180. Probably the last time I'll use Cote regrettably - lots of other restaurants do equally as good food, if not better, but at a more reasonable price. £2 for a small knob of Roquefort butter is nothing short of scandalous. Basic offering, good service, nice surroundings - just a little too expensive for what is on offer. I'm afraid.
We had the lunch/early supper menu which had a good choice and worked well for group of friends (7) meeting up. Nice friendly staff and professional service all contributed to a very enjoyable night out without any stressful moments. A very nice feeling that we could all relax and rely on having a good time. Small point - if one is short the banquet seats feel very low in relation to the table. I was going to ask for a cushion but could see any around.
, service adequate. bank holiday Sunday. only 3 staffs on show, Bad management planning, restaurant busy staffs over run. service not slow but have to constantly remind them what is needed. Kitchen maybe covered but seem like kitchen porter is doing the cooking the chef is giving instruction, but no follow up to see whether food is ready to be served. will not go there on B/H weekend
