Excellent evening. We had arrived early, but our table was swiftly sorted out. Service was swift, even as the restaurant started to fill. Food was enjoyed by everyone, and was very reasonably priced.

This is my favourite Cote. The tables are well spaced and, and if you request it, you can have a table in a quiet area. (The noise level in the Tunbridge Wells branch is almost unbearable!). There is a good vegetarian menu and the staff are friendly and well trained and don't rush you to order quickly or to move you on when you've finished. We will be back soon.

Just what I needed after a long day of hiking in the sun. Thought I'd treat myself as it was my 30th birthday. First time at Cote, will definitely be back. Beautiful food, very reasonable pricing and fantastic service. Thank you so much for making my birthday evening special.

We had a fantastic meal. The staff were very attentive and the birthday boy, my son loved it! My dad who has eaten many a steak said it was one of the Best Rib eye steaks he had eaten. Well done. We will be back. So pleased we picked you for our special family gathering meal. Full marks given and well deserved.

Once again, we had a wonderful meal at Cote Brasserie, Lewes. It's our third in as many months. It's remarkably consistent. Not just in terms of the quality of the food (the only slight issue was the frites were tepid but our waiter swiftly dealt with this and replaced them with the minimum of fuss), but it's the ambience with just the right amount of discrete lighting, and the excellent service from our waiter. We had a great evening.

Faultless. We enjoyed an ideal late Sunday lunch with friends. Good value, food and service.

Too much emphasis on flags in my gluten free food and the manager having to take my order. Despite so much fuss I felt unwell the next day so would be better to focus the effort in the kitchen to avoid cross contamination. Such a shame as the food was lovely and the staff were clearly trying hard. Despite this issue I would try eating here again.

A really good French-influenced meal. Great Fugasse to start with good charcuterie (especially the smoked duck breast). Both fish mains were (Parmentier and Breton stew) were excellent as were the home-made desserts (great, sharp lemon tart and creamy creme caramel). The main restaurant was busy with a real buzz - we were in a quieter side room which suited us well at our age. Cheerful, unobtrusive service was just right. We were late (parking problems) and nobody minded. Excellent experience all round.

Food excellent as usual. Regularly go to cote restaurants because we like the food, the only problem is the noise. You did something at our home Cote in Harpenden. This was the first time in Lewes and the noise was terrible. Why can’t you try some sound absorbing materials on the wall and also the floor in the small room by the door, to see whether it makes a difference. All Cotes are noisy please try something!

We went for a Saturday morning breakfast. The choice was excellent we had the Full English and the Vegetarian Breakfast. Great value for money, as it included fresh juice and hot drink. Worth every penny and all the staff are great.

Not as good as usual . The toast arrived with some of it burnt and had been scrapped off and the bacon and mushrooms were a bit greasy. Not up to normal standard. The service was excellent as usual

The sting in the bill at the end spoiled the feeling of the evening. If you slap 12.5% on the bill - so called 'optional' - that is manipulation and the Côte Brasserie company is based on cheating and lies. That is our opinion. That is the feeling we left with. Shame. We vote with our feet. Côte no more. Food was well cooked, waiters courteous and helpful. So is Pizza Express...

A stupendously good Full English breakfast this morning, up there with the best I have ever had anywhere. Prompt service with a smile, in clean and pleasant surroundings too! I am amazed how you can do this at the price charged, really good value for money. Thank you, we'll definitely be back!

Excellent meal enjoyed by myself & 2 friends. Very friendly staff and very good service.

As frequent visitors to Cote, we were disappointed in this meal for numerous reasons. Firstly, although the sourdough bread at Cote is usually very good indeed, on this occasion, it was lacking in flavour and didn’t have the same fresh texture as usual. Also, the tomato salad was presented without the usual shallots and basil, which made it rather basic. Finally, my Breton chicken was not properly cooked inside and looked bloody. As a result, I left at least half of it. I feel that Cote should have refunded us the cost of my meal and provided a complimentary desert. Instead, they just took off the cost of a single desert which seemed rather stingy, given that I’d not been able to enjoy my main course. We’ll continue to go to Cote, but definitely not that one, particularly as we had asked for a booth but were denied one, despite the fact that there were four boots empty for the duration of our meal.

A busy Saturday teatime in high season so glad we had booked. Good food and good value- potato gratin side could have been hotter, but otherwise no complaints. Particularly good service from the young man who welcomed us- didn’t catch his name, but he had his long hair tied back!

Great ambience. Good service. Excellent food at a very good price. As good if not better than many restaurants charging double.
