Another lovely meal in delightful surroundings. the staff were very pleasant, although service was rather slow today. I have dined here many times before with family and friends and we always enjoy it.

The restaurant was nicely busy which is always a good sign! The food was excellent and they took special care with my mum who is allergic to gluten. Staff were very attentive, look forward to our next visit

Nice lunch, but could have been better. Both of the chicken dishes were quite dry. The service was slow getting initial drinks and no offer was made to pour additional wine or extra water, for the first time ever we left our own service charge as we didn’t feel for 4 persons and 1 child £25 was warranted.

Always a pleasure to eat at Cote, the service is friendly and professional and the food is very good. The ambience is just right, busy but not frenetic. The Lemon Sole from the September Specials was outstanding, I will definitely go back before the end of the month for another!

Ordered Rump of lamb with extra peas all very tasty unfortunately the lamb was just two very small pieces and I left feeling a bit dissatisfied. I am a frequent diner at this restaurant and have had this main in the past and the amount of lamb was more.

Excellent service ,excellent food. But you should make it clear on the menu you only get two scoops of ice cream for the price stated, not 3. Menu is misleading, it should state 'or' not 'and'.

We have been meaning to visit Cote for some time. We finally made it, and were not disappointed. Our waitress was chatty, attentive and obviously happy in her work The icing on the cake for my wife was the Creme Brulee. Though not on the menu, our waitress produced one, which was of a very high standard. Well done Cote, we'll be back.

Excellent service from professional staff and food good - only small criticism- one of us had lamb - one piece v tender one piece a bit tough. Great, buzzing atmosphere- a bit noisy - a good designer could sort this out with some sort of floor cover / padding . But overall, enjoyed our meal and our waiter ( fair , long haired young man) very good and knew his job. Thanks Graham Moulson

Have been to Cote in Brighton and London and was very disappointed on the service when we arrived. Sat in a corner and until I went and asked for drinks nobody came near us.

My friend and I had another good meal with a complimentary glass of kir royale for my birthday. Attentive service as always. The only negative was that I asked for my chicken salad to be without nuts but it was also missing the green beans itemised on the menu so I had to request them.

We took friends as a treat. The waitress wasn t familiar with the breakfast menu as she didn t normally work that shift so she kept having to check things but everything was up to normal standard

A very enjoyable evening spent with friends in a clean, friendly restaurant. Having eaten recently in Cote in Brighton where we had a great time with well cooked and presented food I wasn't sure if Lewes would be the same. Well not only was the food as good but the service by our friendly efficient waitress was excellent. Thank you
