Very busy with big Christmas party but service and food still great as usual. Scallops very pricey for what you got but everything else good, especially the cappuccino martini!!

We had a Christmas Eve family meal that was superb. Everyone agreed the food and service were great. The food was really tasty and the service was attentive. Cannot fault anything.

Noisy due to Xmas parties but food, drink, service sublime as always. However, we managed to get moved to a quieter table. Going back on Sunday night when other pubs and restaurants are either shut or not serving food. Well done Cote,

Very welcoming and quickly seated. Vegetarian menu (requested on email booking) produced without asking. Food excellent. Good value. Will go again in the new year .

Service was unusually poor, despite reminders the drinks were not served with the meal and arrived after the food was served. As a gesture of goodwill the drinks were given complimentary

We went for breakfast. Delicious well presented food, lovely attentive but not intrusive staff. Good experience to start the day. Good deal for full English breakfast , including fresh orange juice and hot drink.

Good service pleasant setting and good food. The soup was nicely served piping hot and with croutons but a little bland. Tender cow au vin well cooked wine taste could be more intense. Excellent chocolate pot really concentrated taste. My friend also liked her creme caramel Altogether a pleasant lunch reasonably priced

Food great, waitress not very cheerful but did her job well.Will definately be back in the new year.Our local Cote is same service and food so happy we have another option in Lewes.We live in Haywards Heath.

Food and wine was still really good. For once service was slow and usually they have the knack of making you feel you count. Not tonight. Let’s hope it is a one off.

Great location in the centre of of Lewes High Street, not far from the station, albeit a steep walk up the hill. Nice seating arrangement with individual booth type seats.

Lovely restaurant. They coped well with our large group for my daughters birthday. The food was all lovely. I don’t agree with the 12.5% service charge added on- I’d much rather pay the waitress herself a tip. Our service charge came to £40 I doubt very much that the lady who served us all evening will get that service charge- she deserved a tip but we resented having to pay anything extra on top of £40.

Great conversion of old bank to a restaurant, layout has created a modern yet cosy location with atmosphere. Attentive staff, good service and great food. Thanks.

The set menu is very good value and excellent food and service. I have been a few times and have been very impressed, would highly recommend.

As always excellent food & service. Really like the way the seating is arranged. But it is a long trek down to the loos & disappointed like last year NO Christmas decorations !.

Food is delicious and I love the ambiance of the restaurant. The staff are very polite, courteous and smart, and made us very welcome. I like the fact that water and glasses are on the table without having to ask. The toilets are ultra clean which I think is an absolute must in a restaurant or pub. Certainly go again.

Staff efficient cheerful helpful and welcoming. Food served promptly and, without exception, absolutely delicious (there were 7 of us). Crème caramel was without doubt the best I have ever tasted - anywhere in the world. Wonderful!

Even more menu choices as we are now in the "festive season". The main difficulty is deciding what not to have as it's all so tempting. We'll have to go back!!

We had a lovely birthday meal. Opted for lunch set menu and weren’t disappointed. 3 lovely courses and all plates clean... says it all. Made even more special by our mum’s desert having a candle on it and the staff singing happy birthday too. Warm and cosy restaurant... great food and lovely staff. Highly recommended.

Excellent all round. Although I do t agree with 12.5 % charge ? Why ? Cote is always good value but this outdated habit of sticking a service charge should stop.

Top service, really went above and beyond and food was really nice

My friends and I enjoyed our meal at Cote Lewes the food quality was very good but we were disappointed in that we had to wait a long time to get a waitress to take our wine order and then even longer to take the food requirements. and one niggle as a side dish was ordered with the main and didn't arrive until halfway through main course. Other than that staff were pleasant and the restaurant ambience was good.

We went for dinner here as part of our Birthday celebrations, lovely food based on French classics, plenty of choice for all tastes. Great wine list with some lovely burgundies. Very good service from friendly staff. We will definitely go back. Thank you for making our evening special.

Breakfast with friends. Comfortable 'booths' with bench seats. Lovely and quiet so we could chat. Delicious breakfasts with juice and hot drink for £10.50 each. Individual big pots of tea which contained several cups. What better way to spend a couple of hours on a midweek morning.

Super efficient service, tasty food, always a very positive experience

Service excellent as ever. Rather a draught from the aircon. Duck confit was ok but maybe a little overcooked. But your special creme brule is the best I've ever had.

Perfectly cooked whole bream with herbs and was delighted with my choice of starter and dessert - creme caramel is indeed luscious; ambience good; green beans could have been a bit finer but everything else really lovely.

Amazing staff and food, the Lewes Cote never fails to meet high standards. The new specials were superb as was the warm cider drink and arrival.

This will not stop us from going again soon but please don’t ask how everything is if you don’t really want to know.

Ate here with 2 friends who I introduced to cote. We all had the Prestige set evening meal and all enjoyed our choices. The service, as always was very good and so was the atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone fir any budget and any occasion.

Good food, good service, and pleasant surroundings. The lunch time menu is good value. HOWEVER an automatic 12% service charge is somewhat cheeky. It should be up to clients to decide.

We had fine meals and experienced good service! We enjoyed our meals very much and will most certainly be back. It was a very nice evening out.

It is still expensive mainly because they automatically add staff gratuity to the bill. Atmosphere is lovely. Staff are efficient and friendly. Food is good.

Lovely meal, as usual, including the free bottle of wine with our voucher from Lewes magazine.This is definitely our favourite restaurant in Lewes and will return soon.

We have been to this restaurant many times now, and as always I can never thought the service we receive, the food is always lovely. Côte’s is always on our list of restaurants to go to in Lewes.
