Fantastic service, particularly Kate, very polite, attentive. The first full English breakfast I have eaten at a restaurant that was served hot! Couldn’t fault it. One note, as it is a French establishment; may I suggest serving French bread/toast rather than sliced bread, albeit an English brekkie..... would be perfect

We had a really lovely 3 course lunch in this brand new restaurant. The service was great, food well presented as always from Cote. Will defiantly return and highly recommend.

We arrived at the restaurant on a miserable, wet Sunday evening to be greeted warmly by Michael. As soon as we settled at the table the waitress appeared with the menu options. The food and service was faultless throughout the evening and we will doubtless return before long.

Welcoming service by all the staff - not too obtrusive. Everyone was helpful and accommodating. Food as always was of of good quality - good experience.

The food was very nice and there was a good choice, including for me as a vegetarian. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff were helpful. The main downside is that the noise level is quite high because of all the hard surfaces (floor, walls, tables with no tablecloths), which makes it difficult for people who are older to hear each other.

Good value French food if you eat before 7pm and order from the set menu. Overpriced otherwise. Service was good. Be aware that a hefty 12.5% is added to your bill though. Recommend the praline crepe dessert!

Had a lovely meal at Cote in Lewes. The restaurant is really well laid out so you don't feel like you are sitting on top of each other and have privacy. The pre 7pm dinner menu is such good value and the food is excellent. Staff efficient and service too.

Lovely restaurant, staff were really friendly and were brilliant at dealing with us as we had a small child and buggy. Really nice food and their lunch specials are a bargain

Lovely friendly staff, food and wine both delicious. My only slight negative would be that the staff weren't as attentive as they could have been. We had to get up and ask for more drinks and also the bill. It wasn't hugely busy it was more due to chatting behind the bar! Not the end of the world but worth mentioning as other guests may not be so relaxed about it.

Really nice building, friendly staff and good food. We had a very pleasant, unhurried evening. Cote is an excellent addition to Lewes. Would highly recommend a visit.

Not sure why I didn't give it six. Lewes Cote is for grown ups who like intelligent conversation without mindless noise, tasty food, excellent service.

Very good food and service slightly let down by delay on main course due to a technical hitch. Manager dealt with the situation well and offered a £10.00 refund on the bill. We had a very enjoyable evening.

Great service and atmosphere, will come again. They even gave us a free glass of champagne as it was our anniversary! My husband's steak was overdone hence not full marks!

Although only very recently opened, the evening service was good and up to their usual standard found in other locations. Menu had some seasonal specials on top of the very good regular menu. Enjoyed our visit- first time at this location.

wide and appealling range of food and good value offers. Friendly and efficient service. An altogether good experience. Loved my steak frites which came as part of an early meal deal of 2 courses for £10.95. If you have ever enjoyed a good brasserie meal in France, cote is the nearest you will get in the UK to that experience. In my view it is head and shoulders above its competitor franchises.

Excellent service in pleasant surroundings. Fish Stew was particularly good. Wine list was good. Restaurant had a good buzz on the Saturday evening - welcome addition to Lewes.

Brilliant food, brilliant informed staff and good price. Still our favourite restaurant chain in U.K. . Best steak ever - even better than in France !

A Sunday lunchtime first visit to this new arrival in Lewes. We both took advantage of the three-course anniversary menu offer. Great food, efficient, friendly service and excellent value.

Wonderful food and service however the restaurant was too hot and stuffy. Needed air conditioning on or windows open. We all felt ill with heat.

Excellent service, good ambience, and delicious food. Just what Lewes needs! Did not disappoint!...We will definitely be going again! The 2 course menu offered a good choice for vegetarians too.

Very nice food, but it was only when we were discussing dessert that we were told there was actually a vegetarian menu! We were disappointed with the two vegetarian options on the main menu so it would have been very helpful to have been told we needed to ask for the separate vegetarian menu It wasn't displayed outside either, so we didn't know it existed!

Cote has consistently good food and great value. A real asset to the top of town. Very pleasant surroundings and a good grown up atmosphere. This review template equates a good atmosphere with a "lively" so I've chosen the only relevant option ,"nothing special". If you want lively or entertaining go to Bills, if you want to talk, go to Cote.

Good food as ever from Cote. The Lewes restaurant is very smart with a nice atmosphere. The staff were very friendly. I often eat at the Brighton Cote but I felt the Lewes experience was better overall
