Lovely friendly staff, reasonably good value fixed price menu if ordered before 7pm with superb puddings. Nice decor and setting in the centre of town. Would go again.

Excellent food, great service. The food was brought out in a good amount of time as well. The waiter ensured that we were well looked after and quickly came over whenever we finished anything to clear away the plates and ask if we wanted any more drinks

food was just ok, not happy about the service charge, will not use the restaurant again the staff were very friendly and quick to serve and attend to the table

Cote has created a very pleasant, welcoming ambience in the Newcastle restaurant. it has been laid out with care so there is privacy and yet a good feel of belonging around the restaurant. Food quality is very good and served with style. We feel each time we visit that we are back in France dining in a well-run family restaurant. The mussels, the langostine tails and the 'French-style' steak are all to be tried and enjoyed.

Food was good enough, a lot of the main course elements in both dishes (pork belly and duck) lacked seasoning. The pork belly was well cooked as was my wife’s duck, the creamed spinach didn’t taste of anything as a side order. I feel for a 12.5% service charge on every bill the service was very average. You would expect someone to top your wine up (which is what was being done on other tables), have general conversation and a personal element to your visit. Instead it was very flat, no energy in a busy restaurant and lacked any type of atmosphere. With that being said I would certainly return as I enjoyed the starters and the meat was good on both mains. With a company average of 4.5 stars on trip advisor I had high expectations but it didn’t feel anything special than another branded restaurant in Newcastle

All the savoury food was far too salty. We were informed that the dishes are pre made so from the appetizer, to starter, to main course, there was no option for the restaurant to improve the taste of the courses.

Service was fast and unobtrusive. Staff were lovely and friendly. We had tbd mothers day brunch and it was superb. Great value for money and the food (eggs Benedict and full English) were delicious!

Good food but slow service. Ambience is good, but the staff seemed to have too much to do to keep up to speed with all the tables.

We took my mother in law for mothers day. Although what we asked for wasn't available we still had a lovely meal. We would go again.

We love Cōte but today wasn’t good and we had to left because nobody served us about 10 minutes. Normally when you arrive they were giving you some water and asking drinks but today just gave us menus and next 10 minutes nobody come and ask our drink order.

The Food was excellent and restaurant had a very nice atmosphere. Will definitely go back. The only thing to bear in mind was my friends steak was supposed to be medium and it was definitely rare!

Love this chain.Spent many happy lunches and dinners at Horsham before the fire so was looking forward to visiting Newcastle. Wine choice as a complimentary gift was not available but we were actually ggiven a superior replacement Food was fabulous but sadly I was left feeling very embarrassed at the point of paying the bill.The waiter forgot that we had been given a complimentary bottle of wine and I had to ask for it to be removed from the bill.The Manager Michael was extremely apologetic.

Excellent apart from the fact that the white wine was too warm and the steak not warm enough. The helpful waitress did replace the wine, but the replacement wasn’t much cooler, and we resorted to putting ice in it.

Great first visit to this French restaurant. Really attentive and friendly staff, great atmosphere and very tasty food. Would definitely recommend. Lovely wine list too.

Beautiful decor. Delicious food. Pleasant efficient service. Thought 12/half percent service charge a bit much so asked waitress to remove from Bill - no problem. Will return.

Friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable staff, great atmosphere and fabulous food! This was our second visit, this time with friends. We got a free bottle of excellent wine. All of us loved our different menu choices. We'll definitely be going back.

Nice food, lovely restaurant, with a French feel and very helpful staff. Easy to book and good choice of menu ie food and deals. Food was hot and nicely presented and nice relaxed atmosphere.

This is the second time I have been and I did not think the quality of my food was as good this time as it was the first time. The staff were very good and the atmosphere is good too.

It was my wife's 2nd visit and her experience was not as good as her 1st visit. She did not have starter and had belly pork from the main menu which was served cold. By the time It was replaced my daughter and I had almost finished our mains. My daughter raised the matter whilst settling the bill and a refund was given for my wife's 2 glasses of wine. We think this was dealt with fairly. My daughter and I had the set lunch menu and all courses were very good.

We found the menu to be quite varied and interesting and the meal itself we thoroughly enjoyed. The table location was excellent and the service just right.

Great choice for the early evening menu, perfect for before the theatre. Good value and super service, I have eaten in sister restaurants in London and the Newcastle one is just as good. Certainly one of my favourites.

Lovely evening on a cold winters night. Have visited this restaurant chain in London, great to see it open in Newcastle. Not cheap but worth it

Very cosy, coats taken upon arrival (a must in a good restaurant for me) brilliant waitress, great tasting food. Worth the money and cheaper than I thought. Didn’t rate the house red, but then people have different tastes.

The staff were pleasant. The two-course meal offer was value for money - though there could have been a higher meat content in the venison dish.

The food was outstanding. Rest service and ambience. The staff were very good. I have been here for five or six times and it never disappoints. We will definitely continue to come here on a regular basis.

Staff very efficient and attentive, food very good and cooked as requested, lovely decoration, only negative I didn’t like the 12.5 % automatically added to the bill for 2 people although it did say it was optional it was added into total, I had to ask for it to be taken off then gave seperate tip

Cote in Newcastle is a very cosy restaurant producing tasty food, served by friendly and efficient staff, at very reasonable prices. You can't ask for more than that really.

Best restaurant we have been to in a very long time. Food and service all excellent having the Early Bird menu for £11.50. Nice and warm on this very cold night. Waiter outstanding. Attentive friendly very efficient but not hovering . Can't fault it but prefer not to be told"You're welcome "every time we said thank you but I am splitting hairs as can't find anything negative to say. Ricky

Food was really lovely, waiter on the ball and knowledgeable and house wine really drinkable. Don’t agree with 12.5% gratuity being added though I would normally give a 10% + tip.

The food in vote us just excellent, the staff are friendly and we would recommend it to anyone. Both their set price menu and the a la carter have a super choice. A restaurant not to be missed.

Côte is fast becoming a go to destination for reliably good food and great service. During a recent trip to London my experiences in Glasgow and Newcastle meant that I could trust breakfast in Charlotte street. Although it was busy and more staff would clearly have been helpful, our waitress was prompt, warm and friendly. When things do go slightly wrong the response is impressive enough to ensure that my opinion remains favourable.

Excellent food and perfect service. We were seated quickly, served efficiently. Food arrived in good timing and the wine was fab! Beef was fab and steak great!
