All good re food / drink... one thing: it's a bit too much when every single waiter/waitress/restaurant staff come over your table every 3 mins to ask whether everything is ok, and whether we are enjoying it. Common peeps, we're just here to chill and we are chilling so you chill out too :-)

Cote is a great place for any occasion. I particularly love this place for a leisurely breakfast. The vegetarian breakfast is a winner every time and the crosaint is a particular favourite.

Pleasant enough but it want anything amazing. Ordered the prawn gratinee to start and it arrived with 4 prawns. Service was a little slow but overall a nice meal

Great. Always enjoy eating in Cote Reading, Berkshire. Good food, wine and atmosphere. Varied menu and the Staff very friendly. The lamb chops this time were superb.

As always, fabulous food and service. Breakfast items cooked perfectly. Only criticism was under-done toast, but managed fixed this within minutes and was very apologetic.

We had a lovely meal once we had moved tables. I booked online and requested a quiet table against the wall as one of the part wears heaing aids. We were seated in the middle of the room and even we found that noisy. We asked to be moved fortunately there was a spare table. We don't like to make a fuss especially when out with other people so,if this could be highlighted as it is a bit embarrassing having to,bring attention to the situation. Regards Mrs Mintern

Reserved online which was straightforward.I had mentioned it was my husband's birthday in the reservation.We were welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine.We chose from the early evening menu.There was plenty of choice.We really enjoyed the food.It was tasty and served on warmed plates.A special birthday plate decorated with Happy Birthday and a candle came with the desserts and the staff sang Happy Birthday. The staff were very pleasant and the restaurant is an attractive place to be. We will be returning.

The food was lovely and a reasonable price. Booked for Good Friday brunch but there was no need as plenty of space in the restaurant

Overall fabulous meal, good service. Would definitely recommend and we have never been disappointed when we have eaten there. Will hopefully be back sometime soon.

We had a lovely breakfast at Cote, Reading. The food was very good value for money - full english, coffee and apple juice for £9.99. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Overall a very enjoyable experience and somewhere we will go back to.

Wonderful food - very good value for money - we went for the early bird menu. Service was friendly but it was busy so we didn't get as much attentiveness as normal, however still a good standard.

The waiters were really polite and amazing! My score is 5 as we asked for medium rare steak and received rare one, luckily when asked to put it back on grill to make it medium rare, waiter didn't have any problem with it and brought as back medium rare steak :) will be back there for sure!

Had a fabulous meal at Cotes last week. My boyfriend had the Pork-belly it is so scrummy I normally have that but this time I went for the Rump of Lamb and I have to say that the lamb melted in my mouth. So tender and tasty with gorgeous asparagus, I cannot fault it. look forward to going again.

12 of us ate lunch and that included 4 children and the staff were patient polite and helpful and friendly. A big help to us .. everyone enjoyed their food although 6 of the mussels in my fish stew were not open so I felt the chef should not have served those. I mentioned it to the waiter who said he would speak to the manager but nothing happened and to be honest I forgot to ask about it for a second time. But all in. All a very lovely lunch.

Service tonight a touch slower than usual. Food excellent again. Not able to explain the rewards scheme adequately - what are the rewards and when do you get them?

Good early lunch/early dinner value for money menus, which seem to change regularly. Friendly attentive service. Nice brasserie atmosphere, but still cosy. For romantic meals or with friends.

I had a table for Dinner. The atmosphere in the busy restaurant was good. The welcome and service was excellent with tables both inside and outside to choose from. The April Menu was great as were the fish dishes

A very good night out - all 4 of us enjoyed our meals very much - steaks cooked well and tender - fish dishes delicious . Wine was good and well chilled . Service was a little slow hence the 5 not a 6 but it was extremely friendly . For a chain restaurant this was excellent

We always find that we get consistently excellent service. The waitress was attentive and recognised us immediately from previous visits. The menu was mouthwatering and I particularly enjoyed the whitebait.

Great value, excellent quality food, attentive and friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. One point dropped as had to purchase additional item as neither main on the set menu came with carbs, late salad or veg. Maybe consider adding this to the dishes?

Fabulous staff and consistently good food. Their French toast is the best I've had and their lunch menu is our go-to for company meals out.
