Went for lunch with my family today. And we have been coming to Coates in Salisbury for years well since it opened. And have always had a fantastic meal and service. But that last couple of times we have been the food has been good but the service has been awfull. We where sat on a table that had not been made up, and then had to ask for knives and folks for our startes. And was given steak knives and was told they had run out of normal knives. But when our main came we had normal knives even tho we were eating steak. When asked if we could order more drinks we where told in and irritated voice that she would a minute. When she finally came over she took so long getting our drinks we had finished our meals. It’s a shame as never had a bad experience there till know
We always look forward to a meal out at Côte Brasserie. Delicious food, wonderful atmosphere and fantastic service. Our favourite place to eat in Salisbury!
Good food and friendly atmosphere but staff a bit too rushed to converse properly with although it was lunch time. Still felt our waiter could have been a bit more friendly. Overall we are always happy to visit Côte in Salisbury.
An exceptionally good meal this time and very good service.
An exceptionally good meal this time and very good service.
Very good and thoughtful service. I have no complaints even though we didn't order very much because we were going to our sister's memorial service at St Thomas's church next door and didn't feel very hungry, we were not hassled in any way. Thank you
We're regular diners at Cote, but you'll only see us once a year in Salisbury because we only visit the city about once a year. We had, us usual, a very enjoyable meal & the service was, as ever, excellent. See you again in due course. Best regards, Ed Glasson
Great food & good service. As always. Will definitely go back.
Fabulous food. Fabulous service. Always come here and made even better when you have something to celebrate! Would totally recommend to anyone who wants a great meal and great service. :)
Lovely food, welcoming staff and delicious cocktails - what more would anyone want on a dark, wet Thursday? It's always reliable, with a choice of menus and monthly specials.
We have been to Cote in Salisbury many times but this time it was really disappointing. I booked online to claim the monthly offer of a free cocktail, and asked for a nice table for my mothers birthday. Table was nice, but service was terribly slow. With two young children we waited for over 30 minutes to get drinks, which were slow to be delivered and resulted in two seriously hungry children. We confirmed with staff that we had to order from the a la carte to redeem the offer, but disappointed that they couldn't extend the gesture to my mother (who ordered from the specials menu) due to the special occasion. We waited an absolute age for anyone to take the money for the bill and eventually had to go up and ask to pay. For the third time since you have started the offer, i was charged for the cocktail and had to ask for them to be taken off. This really isn't on and seems to be accepted procedure!! The restaurant was busy by the time we left (7pm) but we didn't have a great time. Food as always was lovely but senior staff very glum and we were left disappointed by whole experience.
Thank you for making mothers day extra special.Lovely meal. very good value for money. Staff were fabulous. We will be back for sure. 5 star service for 3 star prices.
Unfortunately Cotê seems to be slipping downhill Food still good , waiting times getting longer , staff seem less experienced Seems to have deteriorated since Manager left soon time back From eating twice a week dropped to twice a month
Amazing - as always. Set lunch is fantastic value and the food is wonderful. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Atmosphere is great. Will continue to visit on a regular basis
A pre theatre lunch. Service very efficient and pleasant. Belly pork and accompaniments and seafood linguine excellent. Delicious apple crumble. A very pleasant experience as always. Good value.
Disappointed actually Noisy Service was on the slow side Sorry Not as good as usual on this occasion
The food as always was delicious. It was busy and we did have to wait a while for our mains, but we didn’t mind. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere was just right.
Brilliant and understanding waiting staffs. Very good knowledge of their wines and could recommend based on what we told them of what we like. Food was very good, portion is just right, not small by any means. The restaurant was clean.
Food excellent, service excellent - just give a little more time ordering and between courses. I hear we have the best Cote chef here in Salisbury!
I have been lucky enough to dine at Côte twice this week...or should I say spoilt! Lovely, yummy food and super ambiance...all good on both outings, thank you.
Our favourite restaurant in Salisbury. The staff are welcoming and very helpful. The food is consistently good and the set menus are exceptional value. First class!
Very busy Mothering Sunday breakfast, normally a good service however today poor. Of the 7 orders 3 were not correct. Eggs on one dish over done and another underdone. One breakfast wrong. Offered to correct and a lengthy wait. Sadly not your best day, sorry.
We eat quite often at Cote and really enjoy it. However today we had allowed 1hr 20mins for a two course meal prior to going to the theatre. The order was taken fairly promptly and the first course arrived within 10 minutes but the main course then took 40 minutes after the first course had been tidied up. As a result we had to have coffee at the same time as the main course and didn't have time to enjoy the meal or indeed finish it. I nearly removed the 12.5% gratuity which is built in to the bill but we didn't have time and it would not have been fair on the waitress as the delay wasn't her fault.
A lovely catch-up meal with delicious food, wines, coffee and Shrove Tuesday pancakes - a real treat! We especially enjoyed the breton chicken and being looked after so well.
Excellent service, wonderful staff and delicious meal! Thank you Cote.
A great meal and the Chateaubriand was exceptionally good. Excellent evening.
A great meal and the Chateaubriand was exceptionally good. Excellent evening.
We had another lovely family meal at Cote. Two of our meals were dropped on the way to the table but these were taken off of our final bill.
Great food and great service, thank you Cote. A really great evening with no pressure to do anything.
As always a very tasty meal. We ate from the set prestige menu, which was excellent value. The staff were helpful and attentive and friendly. Our order of French beans was forgotten but was quickly brought once this was pointed out. We will be back.
Regular visit pre-theatre.Good welcome and well placed table.Clean tables and glassware, cutlery could be checked

Lovely food, friendly staff and a beautiful place to eat and enjoy good company.
Great service, excellent menu, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and value for money.
Excellent food and superb service from the team. Would recommend the March specials as the monkfish was very good. Will go back again as it’s a regular lunch/dinner restaurant for us and our dog.
Great service and excellent value; we all enjoyed the sea bream immensely. I go to Cote regularly for the pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff. Anne Bennett
Excellent, and fab service as always lovely staff, food superb wonderful menu lovely choices and the sharing dessert was lovely , wine pairing superb lovely all round experience
Lovely spot away from traffic noise. We spent a really enjoyable evening here on Monday 1st April. The staff were friendly and very helpful with explaining aspects of the menu. The food was really delicious and perfect portion size.A real bonus was the availability of good wines by the glass, this not limited to the usual three or four. Reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend and revisit. Thank you to all the staff at The Côte Brasserie.
We always enjoy dining at Cote in Salisbury a lovely location courteous staff and excellent service and great food we will return on our next visit to Salisbury
Lovely ambiance and food, waiting staff very polite and human. Had to ask for complimentary drink we earned through booking online, but other than that, perfect and will be back!!
Tres bien...I met my sisters for dinner - as they were coming from quite a way they were late and the staff managed to continue to be polite and attentive. Food was great and atmosphere too. My sister from Sheffield said it had a proper French Bistro feel! keep up the great work Alex and crew! (Complimentary Gin cocktail was nice too)
Lovely food, great atmosphere & attentive service! Always a pleasure coming here!
We were lucky to be looked after by the now expert Daniel Morgan. It is always worth starting with a Kir Royale - a very French thing to do and for a change my wife and I had the same things to eat up to the desert. The smoked salmon here is beautifully presented and garnished with diced shallot, a good dressing of creme fraiche, capers and dill and served with toasted sour dough bread. Absolutely delicious. This month's special main courses include a 14 ounce chateaubriand for 2 at £19.50 per head. A lovely char-grilled piece of fillet is served medium rare on a bed of caramelised red onions accompanied by a good portion of frites and bearnaise sauce. This is exceptional value for these well prepared dishes and was also delicious. The house Merlot by the glass matched very well with the steak. Disaster of disasters - the best creme caramels in the universe are so good that they had sold out and also earlier diners had also polished off the creme brulees - how dare they!!! Never mind you can't beat the Tarte Fine Aux Pommes with an accompanying "boule" of vanilla ice cream, and my wife was delighted with her Coupe Noire. Another fantastic meal at Cote Salisbury where the whole team excel themselves every time. Daniel beware - you might get head hunted by the Ritz.

cod goujons are one of my favourite dishes but yet again they were over cooked and dry. Disappointing other wise it would have been an excellent meal.
The food was very good but the service was poor. Main courses for another table were brought to us before we had ordered. Of the 4 main courses, one was wrong. We ordered deserts and again food for another table was brought to us. When they did arrive, one of the deserts was wrong. To cap it all, of the three coffees we ordered, one was wrong. Not good enough!
After we ordered a waiter filled 6 buckets with ice ,3 were right next to our table and with the noise we could not hear one another. A professional considerate waiter would have taken each bucket to the ice machine. Eventually our breakfasts arrived and we had to ask where are drinks were. We were told they were on the way! We asked again but another waiter and the hot drinks arrived when we were half way through our breakfasts and then the fruit juices arrived. There was no apology forthcoming. My husband spoke to someone when we were leaving and they did apologise but felt it was to late. We would not have left a tip with the service we received but it’s included. I have worked in this industry myself and expect better service and glasses to be cleaned and dried correctly. Sadly a disappointing experience.
Very poor experience for people with limited mobility. My party included my husband who has recently had foot surgery. He is only allowed, on medical advice, to partially weight bear on his foot and is on two crutches. I went in to Cote well ahead of our meal and negotiated that we could reserve Table 17 - the only table big enough, that has level access. When we arrived at the restaurant we found that the table had been given to another customer and my husband had to struggle up a large step to the table that had been allocated to us. I was very upset that my request had been totally ignored and my husband had been forced into a difficult situation.
Staff friendly and sevice was good. Great shame that a few things including drinks (sparkling water, special cocktails etc) were unavailable. Seating near the doorway is uncomfortable as people and waiting staff are constantly rushing by. Food was well presented and flavoursome
Great food as ever, love the choice of menus (inc seasonal March menu), the complimentary drinks via website membership, the staff are always great, especially at Salisbury. We love coming here time and time again and are so lucky to have it on our doorstep.
A warm and helpful welcome followed by lovely food and wines. We enjoyed the poullet grille, the cod goujons, the creme brulle with raspberries and the creme caramel. With wines and coffees this was a very enjoyable end to the bank holiday and good value for money as well.
The meal 🥘 was really lovely 😊 & Camila the waitress was willing to change the menu for runner 🏃♂️ beans instead of potato 🥔 & the duck 🦆 was fantastic!!

Always reliable and consistent service and food. Varied menu with good selection of specials and lunch menus. Great food cooked with care: hot chocolate made the French way, with real chocolate; crepes that are crispy not soggy; awesome brunch menu including freshly squeezed juice. Great food, great value, friendly service.
