The staff did not smile. Remained aloof and our party was made to feel we were a bit of a nuisance. Food was average to poor. We use the Cote group of restaurants in London all the time and will continue to do so, but this was a bad experience. On the positive side, the restaurant deducted the cost of the desserts from our bill, mainly because the apple tarts were similar to small inedible frisbees.

Always a pleasure to be there - very handy for shopping , visiting friends and before a concert. It's busy but the staff always try their best to assist. The food not bad either!

Excellent food and excellent service - were not concerned we were delayed by one of the party not making the table reservation time - nothing was too much trouble :-)

As usual with Côte, great food and good value. We ate from the pre-theatre menu before going to the Royal Court which is just round the corner. Staff very welcoming and attentive without being overbearing.

Friendly service and good value meal. Would recommend the breakfast deal with a cooked breakfast plus juice plus hot drink for less than 10 pounds.

I was disappointed by my meal today. I had brioche with mushroom sauce, the brioche was totally soggy and the mushroom sauce was virtually cold. Then we waited 40 minutes for the main course, when I asked why I was told our ticket had been forgotten. My main course was croque-monsieur with frites and salad, the salad was a couple of leaves of rocket and the bread of the croque-monsieur was soggy and virtually cold, the texture of the frites was passable but they were hardly warm. So not a great experience.

Generally very noisy, mainly due to hard surfaces in the restaurant. Food very good and service likewise. Arrived very early, but not a problem for the staff who seated us very quickly.

I already informed you last Friday which was the day we came for lunch. The main course was left in limbo too long and the food was warm. We have complained on earlier visits and were told the delivery had been speeded up. It's not the case

This was an excellent meal as always and attentive staff. The restaurant was very busy, which shows how many folk agree with us about its excellence

We were greeted with incredible warmth and enthusiasm, almost to the point of being too much, although it was still pleasant. The food was nice, although my 'minute' steak' had a large chunk of sinew in it which I had to eat around - I didn't feel this was a reason for complaint at all, though, as it would have been impossible to tell that this was the case until you cut into it. We asked for our bill and our waiter nodded, smiling. We waited and waited while we watched him seat other customer, faff at the bar and wipe some tables. Eventually, we asked again and his friendly, nice charm evaporated. He turned tail and fetched it without a word or a smile to either of us, even as he collected the money. I understand that waiting staff have to adopt a professional and friendly manner, but to see it snapped off so sharply really hit home how fake it was to begin with. Overall, the food was Ok and the atmosphere is nice, but the staff should be trained to perhaps be not so extreme with over-friendliness, then turn on a pin and be sullen and evidently annoyed with us!

Great food but I found it difficult to catch the waiters eye to make my order. I also found it very noisy which made conversation a great challenge

Service ok , bit 'rote'. My eggs on my Benedict were hard. But conveniently located, Cote is always a predictable brand, which is pretty good. and good vfm esp for the location.

I ordered a tonic water to drink. I was served with soda water. For main course I ordered a fish pie with haddock. I was served one with salmon. The staff were not very apologetic for these errors and blamed the new chef.

Very pleasant but very noisy. The level of background noise is very high. Difficult to hear people talking at our table at all. Pity as the food was great and the service faultless.

Consistently reliable when it comes to steak frites and French brasserie staples. House rose wine good value. Service was efficient and starters arrived quickly. Waiters pleasant and ambiance buzzing but not oppressive.

Excellent time - swift, polite service. delicious food. It was a birthday treat and everything lived up to expectations. The only reason I didn't give you a 6 was that it was very busy (as always) so too noisy to talk!

Great service. Good food. Great location. A little noisy for a quiet evening supper but that probably means the atmosphere is perfect for the style of restaurant.

Always reliable in terms of quality of food (value for money) and service. We had a starter from the main menu plus two times the daily menu at 12.50/person. The portions are not overly big and there are no side vegetables. With three glasses of wine we spent £56 (incl service). Not cheap but was a good meal!

Very close to Sloane Square Station. My daughter and I were seated almost immediately. There is a good selection on the pre-theatre menu, 3 courses for £13.95. Favourite starter: cauliflower soup, favourite main - grilled chicken, fav dessert the choc pot. Glass of champers only £6.50. Very pleasant waiter. Efficient service. Would definitely go again.

Quick service, nice portion sizes. The atmosphere was great and very busy for a Thursday. Prices were very reasonable however the optional 12.5% tip applied to the bill didn't feel very optional

We always use this restaurant when visiting an evening show at Cadogan Hall. The pre theatre menu is our choice & we have never been disappointed. All I would say is to book ahead if at all possible. On one occasion I forgot until a few days beforehand & was unlucky. We had to use a nearby rival establishment & the experience just wasn't the same.

This Cote restaurant, like all the others in the chain at which we have eaten, provides an excellent menu, swift and helpful service, a good wine list and excellent value for money. Consistent high standards across the chain speak of outstanding staff training, both in the kitchen and front of house.

A pre-theatre dinner before 'Road' at the Royal Court (opposite) was exceptional in both the range of choice and the value offered at the price point (£13.95 for 3 courses). My companion and I ordered different choices and all six dishes came out in a timely fashion and were pleasingly good quality, as was the wine 'special of the month'. Presentation was clean and simple and wait staff attentive and helpful. The only complaint would be from my native Italian dining companion who pronounced his Espresso after the meal both overly large ("this is a Lungo, not an Espresso")and burnt. I would definitely return here as I don't drink coffee and my Earl Grey tea was just lovely, but I wouldn't be able to recommend it for coffee...

Service was good, food was good, food came quite promptly despite it being very full. Initially we were offered a table which seemed a bit noisy, but when we asked for a change they found us another one immediately. There was a pleasant buzz about the place and we would expect to return.

Seated promtly, good service and great food and you don't have to wait for too long which is appreciated when you are on an hour lunch break.
