My friends and I had a really nice lunch, good food and excellent service. I am happy to recommend visiting and enjoy a great meal.
It was my 2nd time there. The staff were cordial, the food was good enough and it did not take long to arrive which makes a 45min lunch break good enough
Cote at St Pauls was lovely. I wasn't expecting the place to be as big as it was. The food was great and the service and staff were great too.
Really excellent meal, the chicken was so tender. The dark chocolate dessert was excellent too. The set meal is really good value for money. Excellent service as well. Highly recommend.
Nice relaxing lunch with girl friends. Food at Cote always reliable and very varied choice to cater for all tastes. A stones throw from St Paul's and an oasis of calm in a busy working/tourist area.
This was an on boarding lunch with a new recruit and it was a great place to have it. The food was excellent, the staff seated us in a booth which was relatively quiet and made it easy to talk. I advised the waiter we would need quick service which I got the impression he took a little bit of offence at, but it was not intended that way, I just knew I had to get my lunch companion back to the office by a certain time. That said, the service was superb and we even had time for a delicious fresh mint tea at the end. All in all a professional and congenial atmosphere, delicious food, great service. I will be back.
The staff responded flawlessly when my wife and I descended on them with two tables of 8 guests for a late Sunday lunch, potentially a challenge for a cafe bistro stye kitchen and restaurant. We were even found adjoining tables in the large downstairs overflow dining room and we were even served at the same time. We always find Cote food several steps above its rivals and great value. Cote St Paul's is no exception. A great venue for all sorts occasions and just stone's through from the Cathedral.
Very good service friendly waiters and as always lovely fresh food. Was not busy despite of saturday afternoon. Was great!thanks very much!!!!!we got a bottle of wine for free as well
Excellent service, food and wine. Very good value for money. One of our group has celiac disease and the staff treated her with respect and made sure that her meal was gluten free.
Really good value 2 or 3 course early menu, limited choice but still plenty of yummy things to choose from, including several veggie options. Very nice venue (linked to Club Quarters beside it so booking probably advisable) . Excellent friendly service. I was advised to take La Lande rouge wine (10p per glass more than the cheapest red wine) but well worth the difference. Cote up to its usual high standard.
Good selection of food and polite and efficient service. Will they ever change the choice of soup? However, it remains good value overall. Downstairs is always our choice.
We had an excellent lunch with friends on Saturday. The staff were delightful, the food excellent and as always great value for money. It was very relaxed, we all enjoyed it very much. Many thanks.
Service terrible and vegetarian food not up to standard. Not presented well and not hot. Having waited ages couldn't be bothered to send back We've eaten at Exeter and food and service always been excellent. Very disappointed
Nice atmosphere for a friendly business lunch. Good food. Service a bit hit and miss. Mixed a medium-rare sirloin steak order for a seared salmon order! Apologetic though and sorted quickly.
Food was good but service was slow took 10-15 mins to ask for the bill and in the end one of our party had to get up off the table to speak to the waitress directly
We were a few minutes late so had to sit outside having a drink - staff charming and obliging - food as ever good -- very noisy but you cannot help that
One main course was a little cold and was replaced swiftly as soon as the staff were told. Staff were all helpful and efficient, We will definitely go there again.
Our starters and mains were very speedily served; the Sea bream was the best my husband has ever tasted and my plaice was beautifully fresh with two sorts of leeks beautifully cooked. Presentation was gorgeous as usual. The desserts took rather a long time but the manager made it right for us without us saying anything - so all good. Expect us again soon.
Good food, polite and attentive service, nice ambience. Cote never disappoints. Also, I could eat those calamaris 3 meals a day for a year and not get tired of it!
Very good restaurant, good food, drink and dessert for a decent price, quick and pleasant service. Look forward to coming back in the near future.
Pleasant atmosphere, nice food and a very helpful and pleasant waiter. He surprised us with a small chocolate cake for my husband birthday. Definitely worth coming back.
An excellent meal and ideal for a business lunch. Staff very efficient and friendly. We ordered the fish for our main course which could not be faulted.
The restaurant was cold and the the food was disappointing. The meat was dry and the potato dish was barely warm. The 'hot' chocolate sauce for the ice cream was barely warm. Slow service. Serious fail compared to previous visits.
some of my party were disappointed with the food - i.e. bones in the Sea Bass, & portion size of fish pie and mushrooms on brioche, which probably says more about us ! We had to wait a while for our starters too, which wasn't so much of a problem.
The starters were good. Both my wife and i ordered seabass, but then we were told they only had one, so I ordered the chicken which was over cooked. The seabass could have been bigger. Desserts were good. Service was fine.
Hard to criticise this restaurant for anything. Excellent food at very reasonable prices in a prime city location (200 yards from St Paul's!) is a rare treat these days.
Food was good and arrived promptly, dishes were warm and tasty, the environment was very welcoming and clean, staff - all so very professional and appropriately dressed.
Good choice on the menu and good food - althoughour son would have ordered a burger !!. Service was polite but could have been a bit quicker at lunchtime. Overall, we had an enjoyable meal.
Good food, decent service, could do with serving the starters a little quicker. Lamb shank was particularly good, just fell off the bone, definitely would order again (although it was one of the specials)
Early evening menu was only lacking in cost. Excellent value for money and superb quality. Wonderful location and ideal for early dinner after visiting the sights or after work.
Good service and location. It's a restaurant chain so you know what to expect. The bathrooms are miles away if you're seated upstairs. That's the only downside.
What a wonderful evening - we were treated to a superb meal and most of the staff came over to say hello and we - both Ana and Nick were lovely and the food arrived hot and was delicious - thank you to all the team
Was celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Was warmly met. From start to finish was made to feel very special on our special day, welcoming anniversary drink, card and staff put silver candle in our dessert which was a nice touch. Cannot rate highly enough of staff and menu choices and food excellent. Thank you all for making our day so special.
Cote is a chain but very good one. With a obvious commitment to consistency so you will always know what you will get. Service good and atmosphere excellent.
Had a wonderful meal Sunday night with excellent service it was so good we went back again Monday lunchtime. The waiting staff went beyond.... very impressed made to feel that nothing was too much trouble and yummy food.....
Perfection from start to finish. Nice friendly welcome and given a choice of seats. We had Breton fish stew which was deemed absolutely gorgeous, filled with clams, mussels, squid, vegetables, with sea beam on the top and in a fabulous liquid, this dish was being raved over. We also had belly pork, which again was a very good choice, nice size portion on a bed of cabbage, vegetables and a calvados sauce, it also came with gratin potatoes Both dishes were bigger than we expected and much tastier than we thought they would be We shared a Chocolate fondant with ice cream for afters and it was a good choice The only thing we would have liked was draft Lager rather than just bottles The service throughout was excellent from the friendly professional staff All in all we enjoyed our visit very much and will return
I visit this restaurant for lunch with my former teacher. The dishes were lovely, the portion was proper for my stomach. Staff was very friendly.
really nice food and friendly service- I enjoyed a spot of lunch with an ld friend and we both commented on the quality of food. Coffee was great too!
Cote St Paul's was able to match the high standard of other branches I've visited. They seem to have mastered the trick of doing a good set of basic dishes to a consistently high standard. Always a pleasant place to visit, even when the location is tourist area where one might expect a lower standard.
Lovely evening - we decided to try the 2 course menu which was excellent value for money - cannot fault anything - excellent service and great position
