Amazing food, amazing service and amazing atmosphere! I love it!
Birthday brunch, friendly helpful staff good food and great table, many thanks
The food was delicious - we each had something different and it was exquisite. Excellent service as usual with just the right amount of attention, not intrusive at all.
Wonderful service, staff friendly and professional Great food, good choice of delicious wine
I have been to the restaurant many times with friends so was confident when I made the booking as a thank you for my sister and niece. The evening started well with a lovely welcome from the gentleman on the reception followed by a warm and cheerful welcome from our waitress whose name we didn't catch. She was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about all the menus, helping us to make suitable choices from the vast array on offer. The starters arrived within an acceptable time during which she bought our drinks order and table water, again with a wonderful smile and cheery disposition. We had a perfect delay before the next course allowing us to savour the superb flavours at our leisure and we all thoroughly enjoyed our choice of mains. The plates were cleared and the desert menus left for us and then we waited and waited to place our desert order. Seeing our waitress very busy taking an order from a large group behind us and called to two other couples waiting I went in search of a waiter from the other side of the restaurant and requested they take our order as our own waitress was extremely busy which they did immediately. We had to wait some time for our deserts which were delicious and then had to wait again to try and catch someone's eye to get the bill. Overall the experience was pleasant but it had started off being so much better than pleasant until we were "forgotten about ".
My friend and I went for a lovely breakfast at Cote Brasserie - we had a great table by the window as we got there nice and early but the place soon filled up! I have the Vegetarian breakfast which has veggie sausage, spinach, avocado, lovely bread with 2 poached eggs, half a tomato, a delicious slightly garlicky mushroom and a side of hollandaise sauce. It was absolutely delicious!! I can't fault it at all and would have it again in a heartbeat. With it I had English Breakfast tea and apple juice which was the lovely cloudy apple juice which is just so much better. The only thing that was a bit of a pain is that the table could have done with being a little bigger as there was only just enough room to fit on the plates, sauces, cups, teapots, side plates...! Great service, lovely atmosphere, a bit pricey for breakfast but as a special treat it's still cheaper than going out for an evening meal and just as good : )
Food was fantastic, my soup was initially not hot enough, but that soon got sorted. Salad Nicoise was divine, hope they never take it off the menu. Mirabelle Tart for dessert was excellent, thoroughly recommended. Service was very good , but I do object to a 12.5% service charge being added to the final bill. It is not a formal restaurant with very fancy standards of service, it's just good, down to earth chain restaurant style food. I am a grown up & very capable of assessing whether I have deemed the service to be worthy of the extra reward of a gratuity. I realise it is optional, but then you put the customer in the awkward & potentially embarrassing position of declining it in order not to have to pay it. £8.25 tip for a table of 2 for lunch is excessive IMO. We have a number of restaurants within 5 minutes walk of each other & this is the only one to work this way.
We are a family of four and this was our first time at Cote Brasserie in West Bridgford, and we will definitely be going back ,absolutely delicious, all of it from starter to main to dessert ,great choice in menu , great service , loved the way the food came all together with covers on to keep it all hot ,delivered as asked for ( my 10yr old can be a little fussy! Not a problem to the staff though who were all very friendly. This is also what makes a great restaurant is the extra little things as well the food . I don’t usually write reviews but this restaurant definitely deserves a good one as you can tell we had a enjoyable experience ,can’t wait to go back Thank you to all the staff .
Excellent service and great tasting food. Our Waiter knew all about the wines and the menu which was really helpfull. The air conditioning until was very near our table and made it a bit cold but when we mentioned it the fan was adjusted . Recommend the Breton Fish Stew which was outstanding . We are happy to leave a good tip but advise checking your bill as a proposed standard 12.5 % is added automatically to the bill irrelevant of the party size which I don't agree with having been a licensee and ran restaurants and bars for over 15 years. I understand if it is added for a party of say 6 or more as standard.
It is always a pleasure to eat in Côte. As a foodie I am always delighted with my meal. One of the few restaurants that serves a Steak Tartare which I always have and is consistently good. To follow this time I had the pork belly, the crackling is so incredibly thin and delicious. This was finished of with a chocolate fondant and vanilla ice cream, what a silky, gooey, tasty treat. Service as always is impeccable and the food well priced. My only minor grumble is the optional 12.5% gratuity worked out for you on the bill, I would rather have the standard 10% worked out and pay more if I want to.
