Decided to have the steak tartar starter as a main course - when it arrived it was nothing like any other steak tartar I had before (I was born in Belgium, have lived in France and have travelled all over Europe)!!! Meat looked as if it had been cooked - I sent it back and when I received a second plate was informed that the chef had overdone the sauces in the mixture. Second one was better but still very heavy on the sauces! Would have been better to have offered the opportunity to make it yourself with all the ingredients presented on a plate as is the case in many other restaurants.

My second visit in as many weeks and what a difference! The food was still excellent, it was the service which was much much improved. Very attentive and efficient, a lovely lunch, good food, good service, great ambience. Will be back!

Settled on the starter and main from the April special menu. The mushroom feuillette had delightfully light flaky pastry and very tasty, correctly served on a hot plate. The large veal escalope was excellent with a side of frites. No room fro desserts, but, as usual the Cote americano coffee was delicious. Great personal service, friendly, professional and courteous. Just a cautionary note for the directors - it is a very large room and it was clear that as it began to fill, on a busy night the noise level would be very high. Any new sites and refurbs should seriously consider noise damping ceiling and wall attachments.

This is a new Cote for us and food was as good as always. We tried the new special menu, which gave us substantial portions.

Mains and starters were good, and generally we had a good time. The tart tartin and fondants were lukewarm. The restaurant was not busy so service should have been good. There were inadequate waiting staff, they did their best and kept to a high standard but service was slow. The manager could have assisted, but spent her time fussing over laying and straightening tables which were not used while we there. We were a table of 6 yet she did not come over once. Due to the slow service we ended up being in the restaurant for 3 hours so there was ample time for her to ask how things were. All credit to the kitchen and waiting staff - someone needs to have a word with the restaurant manager.

Generally happy with our food on previous visits but disappointed in the steak on Sunday. Despite mentioning it twice to the waitress (normally, I don’t complain, so a bold step for me!) and needing to leave most of my meal, there was no acknowledgment from the kitchen or manager. It will make me less likely to go back.

Having been at this restaurant several times before I have noticed an improved service and general quality of the food. Perhaps just my lucky day but I hope it will remain as it is.

Very enjoyable experience, and the food was lovely. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and we certainly intend to come again. The fact that the restaurant was not too busy was a bonus for us as it meant that we could clearly hear what was being said!

Crab disappointing. Too much cucumber, avocado etc. Not as much crab as usual. Waitress managed to drop used cutlery off plates down my back having earlier dropped other dirty plates all over the floor just next to our table. Experience not helped manager telling us we had selected an unlucky table rather than proffering an apology. While experience not up to your usual standard

Fillet steak was awful - fatty and overcooked - how you can charge £20 for it was outrageous. Additional side dishes did not come. Service and manager was good. The quality of the food ruined my daughters 16th birthday

The service was good but food lacked finesse compared to other Cote restaurants that I have visited i.e. London and Bristol. This is the third time I have eaten with friends at Weybridge and the feeling was mutual all round.

I sent back two steaks which were sinewy and chewy and eventually settled for some risotto. I expect better, well hung, beef in a French restaurant and steaks on previous visits have been exceptional, soft and melt in the mouth. The staff were brilliant - the food not too good.

great breakfast and good value for money. Table service poor. Sat waiting for our plates to be cleared after eating for a good 20 minutes and this left little space to enjoy our tea / coffee and toast... In the end we pilled the plates up to make room and it still took a while to collect them

Nice welcome from friendly staff. Starter of fried calamaris was good. Our mains of Boeuf Bourguignon and Roast Chicken were excellent. House red passable but should be better for the price! Enjoyable visit.

We arrive just before 7 pm and were able to take advantage of the early meal deal either 2 course for £11.50 or 3 for £13.50 which suited us. Food and service were good Pleasant surrounding to have girly chat and get together :)

Friendly service. Excellent value on the set menu. All 3 courses well-presented and tasty, enjoyed by the 3 of us. One drink order did not arrive but was dealt with when mentioned. Similarly request for more water took a reminder. However, this did not detract from an enjoyable lunch in a pleasant environment.

Usually really enjoy Cote, with its solid, reliable and tasty food. They were clearly overstretched on Mother’s Day evening, had run out of usual wines and something had gone horribly wrong with the usually very tasty steak frites. All three at our table were served barely edible steaks, with curious and unpleasant texture and flavour.. frozen stock for when fresh runs out? They were courteous enough to knock the price of one steak off the bill as a goodwill gesture.. but, better to be more thoroughly prepared for high volume days?

Not great really. Ok, they were busy, but it took ages to get served, even after getting up to fine a waiter and asking them to come over. My steak frites were cold - and I had to send it back. We will not be going back.

Great value, very good service and really tasty as we have come to expect from our local Cote. Set menu option makes it a real deal. The goodwill gesture of knocking off the veg from the bill as the order hadn't been put through to the kitchen more than made up for the slight error

I love bringing my family for dinner at Cote Weybridge. It is such a hit, my eldest daughter decided on having breakfast with some of her 6th form colleagues from Heathside earlier this week as a proper "grown up" breakfast experience! They loved it too. Your menu is varied (but not too busy), great quality food, professional and friendly service, and great value for all age groups. Wise strategy, especially these days. Thank you. C.
