Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was beautifully presented and the fish stew in particular was delicious. Wine choice was extensive. Really lovely lunch with a special friend.
Rather mediocre - waiter was strange and had to be asked for napkins, table not clean, had to be asked 3 times for the bill and we eventually got up and paid at the cashier?! beef ordered to share was tough & sinewy which was disappointing but veggies & dessert was good. Overall disappointing but the sitting on the river saved the evening.
This is a beautiful restaurant in a lovely location overlooking historic Windsor and the river. Good food and good service was had by all four of us.
The food was really good. I had steak tartare and fish stew which was lovely. Service was great and lovely views of the Thames and Windsor castle.
Food was great but table was not nice. I was set next to my friend not opposite. This has been the second time. Nice waitress ... and good quick service : )
Very pleasant space, friendly staff and good, well presented Brasserie style food. Reasonably priced. The ladies toilets are small and narrow. Not appropriate for all shapes and sizes.
Hi, I visited twice this week... both times I felt things have gone down hill. I have been loads of times before...favourite restaurant till now. Fillet steak dry, peppercorn sauce was different each time and not as good as I have had there before... I bought my daughter for first time... kids meal wasn't great. Having that much pepper in the mash was just not right for a child... her food was dry... no gravy or sauce of any kind... Will have to find somewhere else for my steak now...:(
Very busy bank holiday Sunday . We had a table looking out over the river as requested.Service was snappy .Staff had broad smiles .Food was delicious.Thank you all for a trulely lovely meal!
We really enjoyed our visit today. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. Sitting overlooking the river was delightful and added to our enjoyment.
Reliable standard of food and service as in all Cotes I have been to. The Windsor restaurant is particularly good on a summer's evening because of its stunning setting next to the Thames.
Went for a birthday lunch with two friends. Food was delicious and we had a wonderful riverside table outside. But experience let down by poor service. On arrival meet and greet was substandard and was kept waiting some time before being allocated a table. Pleasant waiter but one of our starters served to another table so two of our party had almost finished theirs before the third arrived. Many apologies offered but should this really happen on a reasonably quiet lunchtime?! Coffee slopped into saucer - no apology this time. Small thing but attention to detail makes the difference between mediocre and superb. Food, however, was delicious and good value.
We had a fantastic evening with delicious food and exceptional service from Andy and his team. It was our daughter's 14th Birthday and we were greeted with 3 glasses of fizz ( one non alcoholic) followed up with amazing steak/ frites and finished with a chocolate cake dessert including a candle and Happy Birthday singing to make it a memorable dinner. Absolutely fantastic! Thank you Andy and the rest of the Cote Team. We will be back soon!! The Galvin Family :-)
Lovely views over Windsor. Fillet steak was cooked to perfection. All the staff were bright and entertaining making our visit an excellent experience. We will be back soon.
Lovely view ,and location overlooking the Thames . very attentive and efficient staff. Set menu very good value for money . And most important a good cup of coffee rarely found these days!
Great service, with a great view. Food was good too. Staff made us feel quite special. Will definitely be back in the not too distant future.

The menu is very nice, a great selection. Prices are reasonable. Service was mostly good, although our starter was served very quickly when we had specifically asked to be allowed to enjoy our glasses of champagne before the food started arriving. The duck main course was delicious, but I was disappointed with the nicoise salad as the tuna was charred and not very tasty. The rest of the salad was delicious. The comped my dessert as a result. The cheese plate was fabulous.
A wonderful warm summer evening sat outside by the river. The restaurant was busy as it was Ascot! We had a short wait outside to get in,even though we had booked but once seated the food was delicious (particularly the crab mayonnaise starter with Sourdough bread) & service was very attentive. Lovely relaxed atmosphere...we were the last to leave! :)
Excellent food and service. Lovely location. Seemed to have run out of a few items which was a shame, but it was a busy day.
The perfect setting for a birthday treat! Good food and excellent service, the lunch/ pre theatre menu is best value for money in Windsor! Will definitely return
Lovely location right on the riverside in Windsor and a short walk from the station. Food was good, as is the case at Cote, and staff were very helpful and friendly. We look forward to returning to Cote Windsor soon.

I booked easily , we had to wait a few minutes while they wiped down the table and we were served very efficiently and I really enjoyed my veal escalope .We didn't wait long for the food and it was nice and hot . This time we didn't wait long for the desserts .
Delicious food, fab service, good atmosphere = four very happy diners ! Cote always delivers. I have dined in Winchester, Newbury, Exeter, Windsor and St Alburns, happy every time. Thank you !
An incredible location overlooking Windsor Castle and beside the Thames. Offering good food at reasonable prices. Staff always very friendly and efficient. One not to be missed.
Nice atmosphere, good food, reasonably priced food and drinks, lovely location. We came here to meet with friends and the restaurant provided everything we needed, attentive service without being in your face.
Cote Windsor is situated in a fabulous setting onThamituated. Very friendly service on arrival. Food served promptly & was delicious. The only negative was food on the floor under 2 nearby tables left by previous diners which had not been cleared up.
We enjoyed the food, but felt a bit rushed on this visit. Last time we went it was fine. It was very noisy, so we decided not to stay for a coffee.
Excellent food Maybe needs a bit more personal touch - waiters not really interested and made mistakes whilst taking order, but overall - very good experience
Look please don't offer me a reward of complimentary drinks and I book the reservation in all good faith. On arrival no one has been made aware of this. If you offer something provide it
Had a great experience, lovely food very attentive staff and reasonably priced , being right on the water wonderful views of all the boats and activity on the Thames highly recommended.
Lovely food great atmosphere. I had the steak that was cooked perfectly. My partner had the chicken that was beautifully cooked. Only shame was that the garlic bread was not available
Good food, good service, good ambience with lovely views of the river. A very romantic setting, depending on where you're sitting. Would certainly visit again
Côte Brasserie is always a gratifying dining experience and tonight was no exception. Staff was friendly but discreet, cider from Brittany gorgeous, the steak tartare delicious, the crème caramel delightful. The river view on the Thames and Windsor Castle a pleasant bonus. Most recommended!
Delicious food, enjoyed by all in the party. Lovely free kir royale (for my birthday). Charming waiter. Never had a bad experience at Cote and this was definitely no exception.
Fantastic service yet again. Perfect place to treat your partner to a meal and to enjoy a special evening. The food once again was superb. Also, the cloudy lemonade is enough reason to go alone. Delicious.
Great early eve nng meu and service. A lovely brasserie with a great view and location. We will definately be going back. Thanks to all the staff for a job well done!
Good food cooked with care and nicely presented. However, the service felt a bit rushed at times. Set in a lovely location in the river.
We booked and were seated by a very busy bar to much noise so we moved outside, unfortunately when the breakfast arrived it was cool
Probably the best location for dining in the Eton/Windsor. Beautiful views of the River Thames and Windsor Castle. The food selection is varied and changes almost every month so you have plenty of choices. Reasonable priced despite it's prime position. Could not fault the meal and atmosphere tonight.
Went there before going to the Theatre. The service was very efficient and the waiters very polite. The food was excellent, well presented and a good choice on the menu. Would definitely recommend the crème caramel - divine!
As usual, really delicious food, lovely atmosphere, and great location. Just need bigger bottles of the water....and it would be perfect. It's a regular haunt for us, and we find it very relaxing.
Lovely restaurant, great food and good value especially for the set menu of 3 courses £12.95 - full of choices that change monthly. We will be back!
Excellent service and great food at incredible value. The location set on the edge of the river was beautiful and the back drop of the Castle just added to the ambiance.
Great view and location, and the food was good. The service wasn't very friendly though and I didn't think they were particularly child friendly. But a nice restaurant and I would go back.
Lovely staff. I hate the fact that the automatic Service Charge does NOT go to the immediate staff rather it goes to central office to support marketing etc. Really really irks me and prevents me from going to your restaurant more often. Anytime I ask to take the service charge off so that I can hand the tip to the staff, I am met with lots of questions and argumentations. Its embarrassing. Love the idea of the early bird menu - perfect for pre-theatre/event and good quality. Cracking selection of wines. Just a pity the above point always leave a sour taste in our mouths.
Good quality French style food at reasonable prices. Our table was not ready at the specified time of 8.45pm but once seated at 9pm we enjoyed our dinner.
Excellent service and delicious food. My boyfriends steak was initially slightly too well done for him, but they bought him out a new one with no problem. Would definitely recommend it!
Table not ready for 20 minutes, cream spinach was cold Made to sit on a sofa with the arm of sofa in the way when eating
A pretty restaurant in lovely surroundings, great staff who paid just the right amount of attention at their busiest time of day and everyone of my four guests cleaned their plates at each course which says a lot.
Beautiful setting and great table location overlooking river. Lovely lunch and good range of dishes to choose from. Will return to try a few more. Made a difference when staff greeted and said goodbye.
