Good, cheerful service through out the evening. The food was excellent the wine good and the free Kir to celebrate my wife's birthday was welcomed. An enjoyable evening.
Great place for breakfast and have been several times. Friendly, helpful and efficient service. Good choice on menu and food is cooked and presented well. Would recommend.
Breakfast at 10.30 on Sunday Waited 45 minutes for our table of 4 to be served & get our food. 20 mins after we arrived another table was seated and their food managed to come out 5 mins before ours. It was busy but they only had to cook eggs & bacon!!! Funny thing was we only went there as we received a voucher having had to wait 45 minutes for food last time we visited & that time it wasn't even busy. Will go to Cafe Rouge or Bills in future
A consistently good meal and good service.Enjoy the atmosphere and priced reasonable.must not forget that service is included.will eat here again soon. Look out for the specials.
Very good friendly service and excellent food, only issue, service charge is included, this was not mentioned, hubby asked waiter to make card payment up to 'x' amount, but it was never mentioned a gratuity of 12.5% is automatically added, so one massive tip was given including the service charge, which amounted to a quarter of the bill - so watch this, they do not advise.
My first Cote experience and it was thoroughly enjoyable. The specials were very nice and a good wine selection too. Will happily return in the near future.
Only issue my wife's chicken dish was pink when she cut near the bone - not good in our opinion. They said it was ok but in fairness did not charge. Everything else excellent.
Visited at 2pm Sunday afternoon. Very good welcome. Pleasant atmosphere as not too busy or loud. Meal very good. Service very good. Everyone in the party enjoyed themselves.
Good food, good atmosphere. Very helpful and curtious staff. We have visited this restaurant for breakfast and dinner. A great place to eat, will return
Good food as always, and very pleasant waiting staff. They didn't hurry us whilst we were waiting for a friend who got delayed. An ideal lunch.
Not a bad brunch - the vegetarian breakfast was good - but they don't know what a café crème is (no, it's not made with cream - at least not in France!). Service was fine. But it's WAY TOO LOUD. You can't hear the person next to you, especially if you're sitting right next to the espresso machine, as we were.
Lovely food, great value, good staff. Made to feel welcome and allowed to sit on and chat even though our plates were cleared away. .
Food was good, service was good but neither were great. Very good Gluten free menu and 2 friends who need Gluten free. They appreciate having a good choice.
The staff and manager were extremely friendly and helpful and couldn't have looked after us better. Will certainly pay another visit soon .Was a very enjoyable evening
Excellent. Good food and friendly efficient service. We loved the Creme Caramel and our egg florentine starter. Will most certainly continue to be regular patrons of Cote.
Very pleasant efficient staff - not over attentive, just the right level of service . Good food and nice atmosphere. Nice that the menu changes often so not always the same food on offer but still the classics and favourites .
Love Cote Brasserie, you can rely on fabulous food which is always presented well. Our waiter and waitress were friendly and their service was excellent.
The main courses were very good but the desserts wrere disappointing. We chose the profiteroles and the pastry was thick, hard and very tough. I also think that we missed out on a bottle of wine that was supposed to be part of joining the club.
Lovely meal, efficient service. Steak cooked to perfection and tasted fab. Beouf bourginnon was delicious. Both absolutely full and looking forward to our next visit already!
Good service and friendly. Chose our table. Very good food and wine ,a nice lunch time menu. It has a good ambiance in the restaurant. The only drawback, was looking at the loo door from our table!
The service from Staff and food was great as usual. But we sat on the table next to the door and coat stand. Not much fun when every so often another customer comes to collect their coat/jacket. The stand and table are so close that the two are touching and therefore disturbance is guaranteed. The other issue is the table at the front of the restaurant are always cold due to the single glazed windows with drafts, the door and air conditioning unit over the bar area. I had a jumper on and really wanted to put my coat back on.
Ok good service lunch is loads better than dinner 25 words is too much for feed back. A a a a a a a as
Good food as usual and the staff are very pleasant and attentive. Sometimes it can be a bit noisy when everyone is talking around you but the tables are not all on top of each other which is good.
Excellent breakfast, service quick and efficient. But possibly arrival time made a difference 9.45 as when we left at 11 it was incredibly busy. Also any chance of suitable cutlery for a 3 year old?
A cut above most chain restaurants. Excellent service and a sensible and good value menu. The incentive of a complimentary bottle of wine made this particularly good value.
Quick efficient service and lovely food, despite it being a very bust Friday night. No hesitation in recommending the Cote. Bit noisy for a romantic dinner for two though.
We went to Cote for Breakfast. The service, food and ambiance were all first class. Very attentive waiting staff, food came quickly and the staff were keen to ensure we had everything. The only small niggle was the size of the small round table for 4 adults with cooked breakfasts, coffees, orange juice, water and bottles and side plates of toast with preserves. It was a bit of a juggling act but kept us amused! Will definitely return soon.
We visited at lunchtime and had made a reservation so we were shown straight to our table, the food and the service were first class. We shall be going back again
Staff quite reserved which can come across as rude. Food lovely and fresh. Service could be so much better - sparkling water not poured, no checking to see if we required anything.
Food and service as good as usual but some delay in serving main course. This was recognised by managers and a complimentary drink offered and accepted.
We always receive excellent service and the food is delicious. Our waitress particularly was very friendly, professional and attentive. We would definitely recommend Cote and will be returning again.
Our birthday lunch treat for my Mum began badly, despite having 'phoned twice (including yesterday) and spoken to staff in Wokingham Cote and then a manager, about GF and other special diets. Assurances were given and we reserved the table. Service was very very slow [Sunday, 12.30, when the restaurant was not that busy: we sat 1.5 hours before any starters arrived]. The kitchen had run out of new potatoes, which had been promised. Today's manager went and bought more, as the other carbs offered were not safe options for me. My Breton chicken was brought to table with butter; the manager realised and returned later with a plain version. Plain salad items were also eventually available. Our group felt that despite all the above, the food was tasty and good quality. Today's manager clearly wanted to deliver a good, safe meal, hence 4* rating. Lesson: if you advertise GF and DF, make sure you can fulfil this!
Always good service, pleasant professional staff. Delicious food and great ambience. Have never been disappointed when I've been, whether it'seems for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The food was delicious and the service was good, our only complaint was that the coffee was brought to the table before the desserts we had ordered, which seemed a little strange but they were quick to offer to take them away and serve us again later, but that seemed a waste so we kept them.
This is a lovely restaurant with very friendly and professional staff. The food is great and good value for money. The drinks are a little bit expensive and you are given the more expensive options without being asked first. I have always enjoyed eating here.
Mediocre in comparison with other Cote restaurants visited - Starters and Main course were bland, chewy and luke warm and Dessert slightly burnt. Staff friendly, but not particularly polished. Probably wouldn't choose to visit this branch again.
Lovely clean restaurant. Was a little late due to traffic but not a problem when arrived Food was lovely and came out quick. Had to wait a while for bill and a lot of staff were chatting but was quiet in there. Will def go back
We booked for a family dinner. Service was good and we were pleased with our food. Care was taken to ensure dietary needs were met. We will return
Restaurant very busy at 10.00am on a Sunday morning, so good idea to book in advance. Excellent service and English breakfast up to usual high standards.
The food was excellent and the service pleasant and efficient even though the restaurant was extremely busy. There was a good selection of dishes and they were all presented in an appetising manner
Excellent greeting and menu explanations. Comprehensive menu selection. Attentive and correct service. Dishes selected were properly prepared and served. The atmosphere was friendly, courteous - typically top end french brasserie. We are regulars and will continue to be so. Love the brand!!
Restaurant always busy but staff always manage to cope making the whole experience for the diner stress free. The management at the moment seem particularly attentive and caring. The meal is always excellent value for money. The only downside is because it is so good it can get noisy.
Some of the service was a bit slow, items forgotten on the order, then got double charged as they ran out of paper in the card machine and processed it twice
staff very helpful trying to find us suitably quiet table on a busy Saturday evening. Thank you. Food quite good but prefer it when we can eat from special menu as that is better value for money. service very good.
Out of a group of six people, two of our starters did not arrive at all and one main course was delivered as a starter. Then the main courses all arrived at different times and side dishes that we did not order also arrived! We had a very long wait and all the food was very mediocre. The place was nice and the staff were doing the best. The stressed waitress removed service charge by way of apology to us but as this was optional anyway we all found that quite laughable. However we didn't have the energy to complain and we felt sorry for her and just wanted to get out of there! None of us would make a return trip.
Nice atmosphere. Staff attentive though felt a little rushed at times. One of our party had steak which was a bit fatty. There was no quibble from the staff who immediately offered to help and took off our bill. I would recommend sea bass with lentils which was lovely.
We eat at Cote regularly, and are always impressed with the food, staff and service in Wokingham. From breakfast to dinner you can always guarantee a great meal of very high standards.
Excellent food. Service a little slow but they were really busy. Outstanding value for money. Online booking service is very easy to use. We have recommended to our friends.
Food excellent, service very pleasant - but could have been a bit quicker. Would recommend it, especially thanks to the value and choice with their fixed-price lunch menus.
Very good and authentic food at reasonable price and service great. Even the wine was good value (for a restaurant!), Black pudding and poached egg particularly good.
