Great service, excellent food and good atmosphere. And very good value for money. One of the best, if not The Best restaurants in Brighton. Love it

I took a friend there - ( during a d stay on hol here from NZ) To my dismay the toilets were flooded and whilst the meal was good my watercress was wilted and I didn’t fancy eating it My first poor experience from Cotes - I’ve eaten in Brighton 4 times, Winchester 3 , Chichester many many times - this was not a good experience

A very pleasant restaurant with excellent customer service, varied menus, & convenient location. The staff are always welcoming & highly professional. The wines are high quality at reasonable prices, & it’s good there is a change of menu every month.

Always our favourite place to eat! even over the high end restaurants in Brighton and Hove. You know the food is always going to the same high standard. Always come out of Cotes happy after eating very well...

Food was good and the service was very good, charming waiter looked after us.

Wonderful food, nice wine range, classicly trained waiting staff with a sense of humour, just a bit huge / not private-acoustic for brasserie. Will return for a quieter lunch or dinner. X

Good service No creame caramel my favourite ! I chose the olives on the menu that did not state garlic in them and they had big chunks ! Food good but small Lunch time portion I would have orders sides if I had known

The welcome, service, quality and quantity of food were, as usual, 5*. Staff were, as always, smiley, welcoming, helpful and friendly. The only criticism is the 'discretionary' service charge of 12.5%. This is just too high - (on top of the 20% VAT charge).

We had a lovely meal and the rhubarb cocktail was a lovely touch. Tables are rather close together.

We were not rushed but were served efficiently when we were ready using a variety of menus. All our food was of a high standard and the staff were very friendly. We stayed to talk long after we had finished eating and were treated with friendliness throughout. Thank you.

Great restaurant, the staff were really friendly and there was a great atmosphere. The food was excellent and to a very high standard. Highly recommended.

We had a very nice with waitress good service, food was good the fish was a bit overcooked but overall we had a really nice time.

From the greetings at the door to the wonderful food and excellent service, Brighton Côte never disappoints. The gluten free menu was extensive! Thank you, Côte!

Good food with friendly and attentive waiting staff equals a pleasant evening! Toilets could have been a little cleaner, bit this probably due to the clientele!

Your service is second to none. The value for money is exceptionally good and the best French food you can get this side of the Channel. The wine was delicious and complimented our meal very well. Thanks for everything and for making our evening so fun and enjoyable. Merci beaucoup!!!

Food was amazing (as it always is, never had a bad meal at Cotes), service was exceptional too. I came with my mother who has never eaten at Cotes before and she loved it too.

Very Good service and great food make for a most enjoyable experience,although they were busy the service was quick the food hot and as always very tasty.

Always enjoy this restaurant and it was as busy as usual. Sadly on this occasion I couldn’t have my favourite tuna nicoise as they had run out of tuna, but it gave me the opportunity of trying something different. The salmon was my second choice and it was amazing.

To try something new I decided to opt for sea bass and it turned out to be a mistake. When the meal was served I was met by an intense aroma of smelly fish. Upon eating the meal I had the occasional taste of not so fresh fish so did not enjoy at all. I presume it must gave been the chef using strong fish stock in the sauce so did not make any comment. Whatever it was I could not finish the meal, I just needed the smelly plate taken away. Not for me at all.

Cote is always reliable, but a visit to the Brighton one was exceptional. The waiting team were so good to us, changing our table once we’d sat down most cheerfully although we know it must have been a pain, they served us brilliantly, the food was top drawer and excellent value for money, but what moves me to write this was the care they showed to a couple on the next table on a first date. You could pay a lot more for a lot less, and miss out on a lovely experience

Good service from the staff but such a shame with the food......all 6 starters were sent back as they were not hot....

The whole experience from start to finish was lovely, a warm welcome into a very French restaurant with wonderful atmosphere. The food was delicious, the French onion soup was on par with any I have had in Paris, the duck and dauphinois potatoes were to die for and the chocolate mousse delicious! The staff were friendly and attentive without being too in your face. Would definitely go back

A genuine welcome followed by thoughtful service and delicious food, with vegetarians being particularly well catered for. Happily one of my better life choices made that day!

As always a very pleasant after Theatre meal with my friend, staff always attentive and friendly and food was excellent. A really good place to eat and probably sometimes missed by visitors as away from hustle of our town. Thankyou

Excellent food, as is to be expected, a fabulous room, attentive but unobtrusive service, this chain is an excellent addition to the high street with an authentic (not ersatz) flavour of the brasseries that I remember from the last century.

Fab restaurant with & great ambience & lovely food. There was a slight hiccup with our booking & they gave us a complimentary prosecco as an apology, which made us feel very valued. Only issue was that we had to prompt our server for the bill as we were on our way to the theatre, which we had mentioned when we were seated. Would definitely recommend a visit if in Brighton.

Yet again a wonderful experience in Cote Brighton. Food and wine were excellent and the service good and attentive without being intrusive. I have found this restaurant to be consistently excellent and great value for money.

Absolutely awful, especially having been to Cote before and it being one of my favorites, second to The Ivy. It's really gone down hill, was a lot for a bad meal and unappealing service, really disappointed as used to love.

Was easy to book our table online. Greeting on arrival was welcoming,staff were cheerful,friendly. Our waitress was professional and attentive and despite a full house pre theatre our food arrived in a timely manner- and was delicious. A good experience all round.

Lovely atmosphere and the lady that served us was very friendly, polite and professional, there’s only one thing, it was so hot in there and I saw a lady along side ya and she was fanning herself

We had a reservation for 6pm on Fathers' Day. It felt as if they had run out of steam - food was mediocre - whole experience pretty lacklustre. Disappointing as we usually really enjoy our meals at Cote - £100 not well spent....

Another great pre show meal. Excellent service from the moment we arrived. GF brilliantly catered for without any feeling of compromise. Food arrived in good time and was delicious!

We are regular customers of Cote Brasserie as being accredited by Coeliac Uk Charity. (Coeliac Disease Strict gluten free diet required) However we were highly surprised by our lunch at Cote Brighton. Apart from the waiting time (2 hours for a sunday lunch for 4 having turned up at 12.30 ie ahead of the 1 o’clock rush), the precautionary measures were far from followed. The manager did take the order in person (GF for my daughter and I, normal for my son and my husband) pointing out that he had it all in his head and did not need to write down our order. our main dishes turned up 45 minutes later.My daughter’one has the GF flag but mine did not.The manager promised though that my dish was gf... It actually turned out to be my husband’s dish which was not gf!!!! I do not suffer myself from coeliac disease but always order off the gf menu. Having already wasted the best part of an hour waiting dor our dood to arrive I did not raise the issue but it is totally irresponsible. The fries were more than average over cooked dry and hard. When we then ordered the desserts we specifically asked for 3 of the gf menus and yet again 1 turned up without the gf flag. This is out of order!! How can you possibly be granted the gf accreditation when the staff cannot follow the basic rules! Verbal Promises are not good enough! Totally irrespectful and dangerous for the coeliac community

We always have a lovely experience dining at Cote Brighton. The setting and decor is very unique. The Staff are always very helpful and make us feel very special. The food is fabulous and we are slowly working our way through the menu. Always recommended to friends.

My friend and I had an excellent lunch today, Tuesday 4th, Thank you. We both had the bream which was beautifully cooked and presented, Neither of us can manage 3 courses and this time my friend had the pea and mint soup to start but I decided to wait have my favourite dessert, the ice cream. All extremely tasty. . We also had a glass of wine to wash it down. This was a one off! For roughly the last 5 years we have been meeting at Cote now approximately every couple of months and the food has always been excellent. The staff every time are attentive without being intrusive. Beautiful lunch all round. We shall be back.
