The food was delicious, the service was outstanding. It was our wedding anniversary and the table was decorated with flowers and we got champagne. I had an amazing time with my husband, I highly recommend! Isabel
Lovely dinner and great service all as usual at Cote. It's always so nice to go there.
Lovely meal. Catered well for both Coeliac and vegan diners. Only slight issue was it took too long for our drinks to be served at the beginning of the meal.
I had a lovely birthday lunch - the food and service were very good. I was with another friend who had recently had a birthday and the waitress agreed that we could both use the offer for a free drink. When the bill arrived , we had been charged for 4 drinks which she said would be free. It was easily sorted with no fuss
Fabulous x wonderful surroundings, great staff and delicious food x
Great afternoon as always Nuno (sorry not sure how to spell it) was a great waiter food was good value for money, managers etc were all so lovely and we had a lovely afternoon. Thank you Louise
We all loved our food & the service was fine except the waitress kept calling everyone darling which might be fine in a working mans cafe but not in a decent restaurant, the occasion was my wife’s retirement do , so a nice upmarket experience was expected but the over familiar waitress down graded that experience,
Good food and service as always. Service was prompt but not rushed.
Always consistently Good food, value for money, professional &?friendly staff & very good service. Every time! Can be noisy at busy times but if you choose your table wisely this isn’t a problem.
Great service in a great restaurant!! Food and service lovely as always!
It was very busy and even though we’d booked a table we were sitting by the door squashed between the curtain covering it and the coat rack which was a shame. Excellent friendly service but I was disappointed at the lack of non meat dishes and having chosen one of the few things-spinach and mushroom crepes- I wasn’t impressed. It had been baked to a crisp and was so oily (butter and/or cream ?) that despite it being a pleasant flavour, meant I was unable to finish it . That said , all other food was delicious!
Great food and service as always. Scallop special starter was a little over priced though, two and a half really small scallops , a bit disappointing
Disappointing. Food average. Slow service. Tables for 2 were squashed in corners. I think this restaurant has too many covers & not enough staff...... definitely lacking........
We've eaten at a few Cote's and everyone one of them has been fab, as indeed Brighton was too. We had brunch, everything was well cooked, nicely presented and tasted great. The service was attentive and friendly. We're unlikely to come back here as we're not local to Brighton but we would recommend.
Please see earlier email as our complaint is around one person being left waiting for food whilst the other is eating theirs and food cold by the time it arrives at the table
Excellent food and service. Just a shame this is the third time we’ve come to the restaurant and by 5.45pm they have run out of mussels. Disappointed again
Fabulous dining experience. All staff are attentive without being intrusive. Drinks and food were delicious as always.
The food is amazing! The service is quick even when the restaurant is busy. The waiters are very kind, attentive and have great smiles! Overall, excellent!
Perfectly nice meal and attentive staff. Quite expensive for what you get portion wise, but overall was a pleasant meal. We were early so it was quite quiet
Lovely food, excellent staff and service. Great for pre theatre meal. Will certainly go again. We were seated upstairs and this was quieter more relaxed atmosphere.
Good food. Poor service. We didn’t get our complimentary cocktail, nor the olives we ordered. We had to ask for the table to be cleared. We were sitting next to a dirty serving area. Worst Côte experience to date.
A table was available even though we were early for our booked time. However our waitress seemed forget we were there, our drinks took 15 minutes to arrive and another waiter noticed our plates hadn’t been cleared and gave us dessert menus.
Lovely lunch sitting in the Garden in the sun. Both the pre-theatre lunch menu & the prestige menu are excellent value. Service is always spot on & the food never disappoints.
We have dined many times at Cote and whether as a couple or with a group of friends we have always enjoyed ourselves. Last evening was no exception - the atmosphere was lively, the service was impeccable and the food was delicious as usual.
The quality of food seems to have dramatically dropped. I had a goats cheese salad, but it was served in a glass mixing bowl because they had run out of plates and the vegetables were too chunky and crunchy with too much salad and not enough goats cheese. Overpriced and disappointing. The restaurant was incredibly noisy (lunchtime) and we had to shout to have any semblance of a conversation.
Regular at the Brighton branch, always good service and value for money. Great place to dine.
Excellent service and delicious food, as always at Cote. Lovely atmosphere as this restaurant is always busy. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
A disappointing experience for us. The large restaurant was extremely busy and the kitchen seemed overwhelmed. We waited over 45 minutes for our simple pre theatre order, eventually requesting to have starters, mains and the bill brought together to avoid missing the show. The food was mediocre and tepid when it arrived, another sign of the kitchen struggling. The staff were very apologetic and quick to offer generous compensation which took some of the sting out of the whole experience. We are likely to choose elsewhere in similar circumstances in the future.
A little bit of Paris in Brighton. Great food, great atmosphere, great value. There is an extensive menus to choose from served by attentive but not over the top waiters.
Excellent food, value and service!! Even free cocktails when we booked online!!! Friendly waitress very accommodating. We had a lovely window seat as requested. Definitely recommend the Pork Belly!
Generally we really enjoy coming to Cote and while this visit was far from unenjoyable a couple of things could have gone better. We were barely seated when we were asked about ordering appetisers - leaving us feeling a bit pounced on. We'd booked early so as to have a leisurely dinner before going to the theatre. and the restaurant was far from busy. The confit duck, delicious as it was, lacked the crispy skin I was expecting. The dish was meltingly soft and tasty, sadly the skin was also meltingly soggy. The warmed calvados wasn't, or it might have been earlier, but not when it arrived at table. nothing majorly wrong, and nothing to stop us coming again, but it could have been a great meal, instead of just a good meal.
The coffee machine was broken and we were offered instant. If you can boil a kettle for instant why not use it to make a cafetiere of proper coffee? Bill refunded (without our asking) and waiter gracious and apologetic ("it's what my manager told me to say").Manager far less gracious and clearly glad to see the back of us. This was meant to be a special treat using gift vouchers. If we do decide to use them it will be at a different Cote as we won't be going to Cote Brighton again.
As always we enjoyed our visit. We had the prestige menu, which was really good. The red wine we had was excellent. It was very busy, but not a problem.
Great service -enjoyable food -thank you a lovely Sunday afternoon !
Good service and nice food. I prefer to add my own tip in cash, rather than included on the bill. There were only three of us and that is usually only done if there are six or more guests.
Fabulous food . They vary the menu regularly and its beautifully presented. Exceeding good value for money also . Perfect pre theatre venue
Excellent service - lovely food as always and a great family evening. Just a bit noisy!

Food excellent, service was a bit slow but table position ideal. 4 people in our party who all enjoyed their food and drinks. Thanks everyone for a good meal.
My friend and I enjoyed an excellent meal today at Cote, the service was helpful and polite , the food, duck breast and beef bourgignon were both delicious and perfectly cooked.
I really should stop filling in these post-attendance reviews as they rarely differ from one to the next. Satisfaction with Côte restaurants - and I go to a few - always tends to be universally high.
Great atmosphere, good choice of food and well presented. The service was very efficient too.
Great taff but my chicken was over cooked but desserts d starters very good. Managers were amazing.
Great venue, always enjoy the atmosphere and staff attention not to mention the food. A local favourite.
Thank you for a delicious meal with good service and good quality food and wine making it a lovely evening for us and our friends who were joining us from Hampshire
Excellent food and service but very disappointed that the gluten free 2 course lunch is £16.00. Ridiculous as lots of the items on the menu are exactly the same as the normal 2 course menu costing £11.00!
We had a very enjoyable lunch. The food was excellent. The free cocktail was delicious. The service was attentive as usual. We recommend Cote to everyone.
Excellent, friendly service. Main restaurant was very noisy but we were moved to the outdoor terrace, which was quiet and not cold. Food was very good and well presented. Waitress very attentive. Will certainly go again.
Lovely food and service. Very busy and still managed to be attentive
Service and good excellent great choice on the menu . Atmosphere was lovely and a great table to people watch from. Looking forward to going back soon
As always the staff were friendly and helpful, with a relaxed atmosphere and the food as ever perfectly cooked and presented.
