Soup starter arrived Luke warm and main course took an hour and a half to arrive. Very slow service. Not what I expect from Cote.

We’ve always liked eating at other branches when we used to live in London and happy that the Brighton branch lives up to the same standard. Dinner was delicious. Warm, friendly attentive service from the start to finish.

I have always enjoyed the food and service at Cote and choice is varied and always well presented. Ideal place for meeting friends and family.Excellent wine choices.

Friendly and officiant staff. The food was really delicious and there was plenty of it. Certainly good value for money. We were welcomed and spoken to by many of the staff in a very friendly way. No complaints!

Excellent consistent food and service. My ‘go to’ restaurant when in Brighton.

Dinner with hubby .. lovely food and great service. Portions just right. Slightly noisy but a large building so to be expected. Always a favourite and again not disappointed.

Good food. Poor service. We didn’t get our complimentary cocktail, nor the olives we ordered. We had to ask for the table to be cleared. We were sitting next to a dirty serving area. Worst Côte experience to date.

Normally very good, unfortunately today not so good. We were a group of 8 and 2 ordered Cod for their mains and about an hour after ordering they were told there was no Cod left and offered Salmon instead. Overall the restaurant was busy, however we waited nearly 35 minutes for starters and about an hour for mains. Staff were friendly and polite and the food was go, just a couple of issues with timing and availability of requested food. Thanks

Being that it’s festival time in Brighton and Bank Holiday weekend, Cote was packed Saturday night. Despite having booked a table at the first available time 8:15pm our show finished early. No problem, we were seated at 7:30pm. We had to wait a bit longer than usual for our mains, consequently we were given an additional 2 rhubarb martini’s to go with the ones we had on arrival. Amazingly our bill was also reduced by 50% due to our wait. Cote never fails to deliver.

I have always had excellent service and food when taking guests to lunch which hitherto I have done quite regularly, but the evening experience is substantially different. Once before I had reason to complain about the evening service as we had to leave for a performance in the Dome. This time I took three guests to eat at 7.15pm - we finally left at 10.50pm. Having called for the bill we were eventually told that they had no CC machines working and couldn't take payment this way - staff suggested there was a cash machine round the corner, or they would write out CC details. We collectively had enough to pay cash which cleared us out. the food was fair but really quite average. You will need to get your act together before I come back with guests in an evening - after all it was a Monday night and you were not that busy.

Food was great...last time I dined here which was about 10 days ago the food was over salted and I did not enjoy it all...happy this meal was better

I had a lovely birthday lunch - the food and service were very good. I was with another friend who had recently had a birthday and the waitress agreed that we could both use the offer for a free drink. When the bill arrived , we had been charged for 4 drinks which she said would be free. It was easily sorted with no fuss

Lovely waitress, quite attentive. Made every effort to make our evening one to remember . Loved the way the waiting staff brought dessert with a birthday candle and sang Happy Birthday to the birthday person really special

Lovely setting and staff. However really disappointed with the meal size as where the majority of our group. We’re not massive eaters but I have never left a restaurant after a three course meal as hungry as I did from cote. The mains were crying out for a potatoe side dish or something if that nature. Myself and my daughter had the sea bream. Which looked small when it arrived and was gone in under 5 minutes. Will I be back unfortunately I dont think so as we go out to be satisfied and the food served did not do this.

since it was a Saturday evening the restaurant was very crowded with many parties of 20 people around us. Our lovely waitress Phoebe was covering our area of tables all on her own. Admirable for a part time waitress and full time Chemistry student. She was polite, speedy and served every course with great pazzas! We received our complimentary March cocktails having booked online and he had his favourite French onion soup "not too salty" and the fish parmentier. I had the King prawn cocktail with the hugest juciest prawns and the massive veal steak (it must have been a truly huge calf at the time). I had no room for a desert, he had the most delicious tarte aux pommes which I will make myself next weekend. I truly lovely evening.

We had barely ordered and our food arrived which made me question if the dishes were freshly cooked to order. My food was tasteless and not enjoyable. Considering the crisis the country is facing it would have been nice to have enjoyed the experience better as it was my birthday celebrations. The restaurant was 3 quarters full and there seemed to be plenty of staff.

We had a fantastic time. Everything was very well organised with pre orders as well as being flexible when changing the number of guests we had. The staff were very attentive and friendly. But the food was most definitely the highlight...every dish was complimented and enjoyed thoroughly by us all. Thank you x

Lovely interior and staff. Great service...however food not for vegans. The risotto was like a tasteless stodgy oversized dish, potatoes and mushrooms tasteless. You need to up your vegan menu to stray ahead in Brighton. Will not go back.

Service is always second to none... the slightest issue is resolved without any fuss. I come here very often and I’m always so happy with my experience.

Birthday celebration was lovely place to do, staff, food and food value was excellent, the only downside was the FREE cocktail wasnt that great otherwise everything was 100%.

Our server was an utter delight! I wish I could remember her name! She was professional yet had a warm and authentic manner about her, many struggle to get the right balance but she did this effortlessly. Please make sure she gets the recognition she deserves!

Special occasion, celebrating my daughters 16th Birthday. 5* star service the moment we stepped through the door. The food and customer service was excellent, would definitely recommend and will visit again.

My poached eggs were solid! My sister’s breakfast arrived minus the poached eggs! However the vegetarian sausages were delicious!
