Soup starter arrived Luke warm and main course took an hour and a half to arrive. Very slow service. Not what I expect from Cote.
The evening didn’t start that well when we were placed at a table at the back of the restaurant instead of the front as requested, other than that the evening was great, there were a couple of minor hiccups during service but they were quickly rectifyed, overall great service, great food, and my first choice restaurant when I come into Brighton
Lovely atmosphere, delightful staff and delicious food. The duck breast was superb and the wine list is excellent. Great portions. The staff are really attentive and booking is simply
Lovely meal - wine and food and service :) Thank you Côte and staff!
Disappointing I booked a table for 6 pm for 4 people. Booked a month in advance asked for a window seat . We were meeting our friends we hadn’t seen since November. Didn’t get one . Two of us were going to the dome for 730 pm . We told the manager this said we needed to leave by 7.15 pm that’s why I booked table early.Service was very slow. By 7.10 pm our food still hadn’t arrived and we ordered it at 630 pm . We ended up leaving our husbands in the restaurant without eating both starving having to go to our concert on empty stomachs . I was so upset this was meant to be a special catch up . My friend and I ended up going for pizza on our own after the concert at 10 pm at night while our husbands were in the pub and we met them about 11 pm this is not the night I planned and extremely disappointed. They were very busy and not enough staff on . We usually love Cote but on this occasion it was poor . I not complaining about the food as we didn’t get any but our husbands had a nice meal shame we couldn’t have all eaten together
Another excellent service and good food at very reasonable prices. It keeps up with my expectations. Well done and thank you for the wonderful experience. Look forward to seeing you again soon.
Pleasant, vibrant pre-theatre atmosphere. Conveniently situated for the Dome, Pavilion and Theatre Royal. Food generally ok, likewise service. One main disappointment was the Prestige Specials chicken dish was very dry.
Another lovely meal at Cote Brighton, just right before going to The Theatre Royal. Great atmosphere service and of course the food. See you again soon.
Had a really wonderful lunch with one of my closest friends. The food and service was excellent. Very friendly and cheerful and didn`t rush us at all. The cocktails and Cremant de Bourgoyne bubbly made it a perfect day out in Brighton in a lovely environment. Highly recommend and we`ll definitely come back. Thank you to all the staff especially our waiter who looked after us so well.
Our waitress was soooooo lovely Food was excellent It has to be the best value in town Just across from the Dome it made life so easy ... great value all round xx
As someone with a long list of food intolerances, eating out is normally quite a stressful experience for me. Our french waitress, Rachel, made the whole process stress-free and was extremely accommodating and courteous. I enjoyed a starter and a main course - a rare occurrence as starters are usually particularly difficult. The rhubarb martini was delicious! Although the restaurant was packed the service was quick and very attentive.
We had the best time, the staff we’re so lovely, the food fab, its becoming our best place to go. Love the monthly offers of cocktails .
For how busy it was it was very good! Food perfect as usual. Shame about loud people in the restaurant but that’s not the establishments fault.
As always excellent food and service at the Cote Brasserie, this time first experience of the one in Brighton. Staff knew without asking that we had a free bottle of wine deal, which was great. All 3 courses were delicious particularly the Duck and the sharing dessert Assiette Gourmand. Service was friendly fast and efficient without ever making you feel rushed. Slight pity that we were only allowed to select from the St Valentines Special Menu but I guess the company has a reason for this policy. But there was a good choice and as said it was all delicious.
A very enjoyable lunch, a little noisy at times, service great and value good, the steak was excellent.
Disappointed that window seat booked well in advance was GONE!
Food was great, but they had run out of a lot of dishes which was a shame
A lovely breakfast , perfectly cooked and served. Our waitress was delightful , pleasant and efficient.
good value and great food, it was a very busy evening with the festival going on but the staff all were well humoured and helpful.
Staff were attentive and very friendly. They knew that we had a complimentary bottle of wine which saved us mentioning it. Food was superb.
Always a pleasure to eat at Cote Excellent food and attentive friendly staff. The Martinis were a lovely touch for our birthday lunch. See you again soon!
Excellent service and food and wine as always at COTE Brighton. Can highly recommend the restaurant. Great atmosphere too. We were a party of 6. John O'Hara
Excellent meal, excellent service and excellent value for money. Thank you again.
Slow service. Had to ask after 15 minutes to place my order having already been asked if I was going to the theatre. Small portion of monkfish for the price. Tiger prawn salad delicious but very garlicky.
Never had a bad experience at this restaurant. The maitre’ds/greeters at this place have been consistently good in the 10+ years I have been coming here and so has the food . It’s why I keep coming back.
Delightful staff delicious food great atmosphere. Thoughtful provision of request for wheelchair access for one of our party. Thank you particularly Dan Stringer for great service and humour.
Great good and great service. Restaurant very busy but never felt pressured to leave when finished. Will definitely be back again in the future and recommend to friends.
Great food, great venue. Have been before and will definitely be returning. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. 👍🏼 👍🏼 👍🏼 👍🏼 👍🏼 👍🏼
Excellent service as always.... and really good food, great house wine and my favourite dessert from any restaurant... your marvellous creme caramel. Worth a visit just for that!
Beautiful venue with fantastic service. The menu lacks vegetarian choice though. This could be improved. Otherwise a great experience. The food was lovely and the service was fantastic, a great night out.
Service was by far the best I’ve experienced in any restaurant and the food was beautiful! Made my partners day
We often visit Cote when we are in Brighton and today’s meal didn’t disappoint !! Absolutely lovely!! Food and service superb as always. Very attentive friendly staff.
Always great. Should have asked me for more drinks but otherwise good
Lovely food as always. Service with a smile. Upstairs is nicer as it is very loud downstairs. Very clean and always very pleasant. Will definitely come again.
One of our side dishes was a little over cooked, we had to chase for our bottle of wine and one of the drinks brought out was incorrect. Not the usual high standard of service however, still a good meal experience.
A lovely evening again at Cote Brighton everything excellent before a fabulous concert at The a Dome with Joan Baez. Great Rib eye and timings perfect. You’ve got it right guys.
As it was my boyfriends birthday we were given free bubbly as we arrived and the food was immense! I had the pork belly and he had the fillet steak, and both of us were very happy with our meals !
Our table was a little cramped we were upstairs. Fortunately the people either side were very nice We both enjoyed our dinner quick and excellent service nice and friendly staff
Food of good standard but not enough of it.poor selection of beers . Ridiculously priced three bottles equalling a pint that would set you back £12.00. We are in South of England not France. Apart nice venue.
Exceptional service. You made my birthday dinner so special. Extra thanks to Nuno. He was amazing
Fabulous ambiance. Great service my only criticism would be that the food wasn’t very hot. Also just a little pointer the Toulouse sausage skins were like hard plastic. But overall nice restaurant.
Lovely’s 50 birthday ever fore sure Uli Auers Planning Manager
I was not happy about the meal. My poached egg for the starter was virtually cold, and my fish for my main course was over cooked. So ,overall,I wasn’t happy at all about my meal
Food was excellent on this occasion, pork belly has always been a good choice
My wife and I frequent Cote Brighton more than any other restaurant in the area. This is down to the excellent food and wine choices, good service and value for money. A great atmosphere and the outside courtyard is brilliant.
Another wonderful experience at Cote, one of our favourites were ever go
Was not notified only the set menu would be available, extremely disappointing. Arrived expecting a large selection of food but had only a very limited choice.
Good bunch, food hot and tasty ,service friendly and efficient.
I booked the table at cote Brighton 2 weeks ago after we took my Daughter for lunch. The service was outstanding. My daughter was excited and asked if she could come here for her 13th birthday celebration. I booked the table 2 weeks in advance for 8 people. The table was booked for 6.30 so we could be home as my children had school the next day. We arrived at 6.15 and had a table upstairs, we ordered our food at 6.40 and did not eat until 8.00. Our meal was finished at 9.00pm. My 13 year old wasted her whole evening at cote, yes we had money off the bill but my daughter 13 th celebration was not as we had planned. Yes Cote was busy but we booked 2 weeks ago and were expected. Totally disappointed.
Front of house was absolutely useless apart from directing people to their seats. She didn't know how to direct staff. We sat outside which was very busy because of the weather with only 2 staff. We waited ages for our drinks. People arriving after us got their drinks first.. the same with our food. I watched 3 groups of people leave. I only left a tip because the girl who served us seemed to be the only one working. I hate to see this injustice in the work place. When we were leaving walking through the restaurant this front of house person was standing around with at least 4 members of staff just talking and we were ignored as we left as if we were an inconvenience. I expect a lot of your diners felt the same. A little bit of staff training would not go a miss or perhaps someone who knows what they are doing. I would never visit your restaurant again. I hope the girl who served us does get her tip as it was well deserved.
