I love Cotes and the whole experience, but I felt the food was below par this time, I know we had the premium special, but the food was bland and lacked presentation. But I’ve never felt that this was the case before..so I was sad to feel this way. We will still come back for more though!

The food was tasty and the waitress friendly and efficient. We did, however, have to leave to get back to work, as things were a little slow.

Good service and good food. Linguine was a fraction too al dente for my taste. Creme caramel up to its usual brilliant standard. Everything one expects from Cote including a pleasant ambience.

Cote's never fails to impress. The Brighton branch although quite large the service always seams personal. The ambiance of the restaurant is just right and the new March specials were lovely. The Monkfish was delicious.

Good food well cooked but a little short on flavour- but given its size and busy-ness, pretty good and great value with prix fixe menu

I usually have the calamari, which is usually delicious, but it was very overcooked and hard. The duck was also overcooked, and not hot Very disappointed.

The spring rhubarb martini is amazing . Had swordfish , which was cooked really well , the waitress was lovely and friendly , overall really nice, food is definitely better when you don’t have the fixed menu in Cote . Only thing , I wanted a vodka soda and piece of lime . Cote don’t have fresh lime , please get some .

Had lunch with friends today and without exception we all enjoyed the set lunch. Waiter very friendly and service time excellent. Great value for money but having visited several Côte Brasseries I find the same exception service and value across all their establishments.

Waitress was friendly and helpful. However, only one member of staff serving entire upstairs. Food was good. Restaurant was chilly! Had it been 2 or 3 degrees warmer I would have given more stars.

The most friendly and efficient staff, worthy of a Michelin starred restaurant. Always on point, cheerful and attentive. How they get this so right is amazing. Food is reliable, varied and well cooked. Always busy and buzzy. One of my Brighton favourites!

Staff very friendly and food excellent. Bizarrely, the only slight mark down I would give is that the food comes out too quickly which makes the whole enjoyment of sitting down for a leisurely meal end too soon. We were not rushed by the staff or made to feel rushed......but it was all over in an hour.

This was our first visit to a ‘Cote Brasserie’ and hoped it would be a half decent lunch. Wrong! It was a great lunch! The restaurant was a surprise at it was a lot larger than expected. Very stylish interior, air conditioning and a high ceiling so no uncomfortable noise. Plenty of 2 seater tables so good for couples. Staff very friendly, menu of the day was a reasonable price for a two or three course meal. Only disappointed by charging extra for bread, not a deal breaker but noted. Portions were good. Overall a thoroughly good experience and will look forward to our next visit.

Visited the Brighton restaurant on 6th April. Seated promptly by hostess. Fantastic waiter who was attentive and charismatic. Food was excellent, especially the sirloin, cooked perfectly. Plates cleared promptly, wasn't kept waiting at any point. Staff all worked seamlessly with each other. Couldn't fault the experience. Overall service and food was fantastic

I tend to dine at Cote restaurants quite often in London and on this occasion I ordered my usual calamari and mussels frites in Brighton. I must say It was quite disappointing as usually both dishes are spot on but this time I only had 7 soaking in oil calamari which also didn’t taste great and 6 of my mussels were closed. We also had duck and it was lacking the red wine juice. The only plus for service as the waitress was really nice.

Brilliant staff, delicious food and never a disappointed experience dining at any Cote restaurant! My seabass was not quite hot enough and was instantly replaced and the bill adjusted in goodwill. The restaurant delivers first class dining. Well done!

We had the prestidge menu. The asparagus was excellent & so was the pork belly. Unfortunately some of the mussells were overcooked with lots of broken bits of shell & the chicken was overdone. It was a shame as the food is normally very good.

Starter arrived before our drinks! Dried up chicken with green beans that had attempted to be hidden under the chicken. They looked like they’d been cooking for ever as were brown and hadn’t even been top and tailed. To be fair, I complained and was brought some fresh ones. Bad choice of restaurant. I have been to other Cote restaurants and they were much better. It was very busy but no excuse for serving second rate food!

Lovely setting and staff. However really disappointed with the meal size as where the majority of our group. We’re not massive eaters but I have never left a restaurant after a three course meal as hungry as I did from cote. The mains were crying out for a potatoe side dish or something if that nature. Myself and my daughter had the sea bream. Which looked small when it arrived and was gone in under 5 minutes. Will I be back unfortunately I dont think so as we go out to be satisfied and the food served did not do this.

Welcomed at the door and given a table upstairs as we requested. Our server was attentive and personable and we ordered glasses of Sancerre and starters. The wine was as lovely as ever and the first course delicious as usual. From then on it went bizarrely downhill. We usually order the Lagarde Pinot Noir with the fish course. A couple of glasses arrived with opaque red wine which had no resemblance in look, texture or taste to the wine we had ordered countless times before in Cote restaurants around the country for the last ten plus years. We were offered a Merlot instead but that seemed to be the same wine as before. To add insult to injury my fish was severely over-cooked. The fish was swiftly replaced and we went back to the Sancerre....bemused!! So, Richard and Nick, what the Grenache is going on?? Good food but a 400% mark-up on the wines means the experience is diminished overall. Carlucchios much better value for money as wine is not a rip-off.
