Gorgeous food and great service as always - will be back soon

Lovely food as usual, but the service was a bit haphazard and slow today. We asked for more water when our final guest arrived, which we got, but they didn’t take away the empty house water bottle away, which we had to put on another table to give us more table room, not very Covid safe, the staff should have removed. The French waiter perhaps had an language issue, we asked for extra scrambled eggs with one breakfast, but received a plate of scrambled eggs on toast, so had to wait for another 4 - 5 minutes for news scrambled eggs to arrive. With the toast one plate had hollandaise sauce with it rather than butter? And when we asked the waiter for a cappuccino with no coffee on top we received a coffee, and a hot chocolate drink too, which had to be returned. Finally the staff hovered around the table at the end, like they wanted us to pay up and go, it was only 12.00 not busy at all, with all other tables successfully laid out for lunch, so no need to rush us at all.

Really enjoyed are meal at Cotes great atmosphere fantastic service and they made us feel safe and welcome.

Great experience, attentive staff, good food and drink. Issue with one of the ordered dishes, resolved to our satisfaction, but they went the extra mile and removed it from the bill, that’s great customer service!

Very pleasant and relaxing experience! The distancing, and all other social anti-C-19 practices, were well thought out, and well managed. The food and service were as reliably excellent as always. Our first visit since March and it was great to be back – thanks to all!

Excellent food and great staff. I had the crab followed by the sirloin steak with bearnaise sauce, both absolutley lovely. Very much enjoyed the October cocktail too, hadn’t had dubonnet since I was about 20, it’s on the shopping list now with the Creme de figues!

Lovely lunch in Brighton Cote. Haddock was delicious. Crepe & vanilla ice cream was equally delicious.

Excellent meal with efficient, friendly and very helpful staff. It was great to see how well the restaurant had adapted to the current situation without detracting from the overall experience - our thanks to everyone at the Cote.

It was very pleasant to be able to have lunch at Cote. We were glad that when a lot of restaurants were closing on a Monday, you remained open. Thank you!

An excellent dinner this evening. The service was excellent from the minute we stepped into the restaurant. Food was very good also !

Stopped by for a coffee and dessert as it was my daughters birthday but she is in Turkey. Sent her a picture as I can’t be there. Service was excellent really enjoyed my afternoon celebration.

We had a lovely experience. Staff were really good. On the ball - all wearing masks and their attention and service was high standard. Generally the tables were spaced well. It was quiet when we ate at 6 but later got busy. Food was fabulous with flavours and presentation. Thank you. We will be back.

First time we’ve been since covid hit, so glad we did - GREAT JOB everybody. All appropriate measures in place, nice to see full menu (unlike other places), plenty of space so felt much less cramped, food and service always reliably good. All four of us had different starters and mains, all of which we very much enjoyed. We were politely reminded very discretely at around 9.40 about the 10pm curfew. Ticked all the boxes for us, and we were there 3 hours! There are some upsides for customers in these ‘new normal times’ - more space, less noisy (even though full) and fewer sittings. Appreciate this makes it harder to make money, but nicer for us!

Good food at a reasonable price, all served by friendly and attentive staff.

Only thing to mention is the vegetarian breakfast had the smallest bit of bread I have ever seen it was a bit disappointing

We really enjoyed our complimentary cocktails and chose from the Cote October special menu a delicious dish of pork loin with figs. I look forward to the new seasonal monthly menu, it’s a great feature of the restaurant.

Considering cover the restaurant is well managed, as usual the food is good quality for the cost but the cheer board could be a bit bigger. Drinks are a little bit pricey but we had the 4 x free cocktails that softens the blow a bit. Our waiter was really good and deserves the 12.5 % service charge, lets hope he gets it and its not pocketed by Cote. We took family from Manchester with us and they were impressed and liked the atmosphere.

As usual a very good meal. The only point I would make is that Covid precautions could be improved. There was no-one on the door asking me to sanitise my hands and I think it would be good practice to check guests' temperatures on arrival. I look forward to the return of set menus which would be better value for lunch.

Very good to be back. Standard of food excellent. Service friendly and all well organised in the current restrictions. Will come again soon.
