Cote D’Azur Restaurant South Croydon is a stunning French restaurant located on Selsdon Road. There’s something ever so refined and classy about the cuisine of France, and the skilled team at Cote D’Azur Restaurant have certainly managed to bring these elements to life in Croydon. But what exactly is on the menu, then? Firstly, you will find a lot of seafood and prime Aberdeen Angus beef on offer alongside other locally-sourced produce and ingredients. What’s more, you’ll find some Mauritian influences throughout, a nod to the legacy left by the late head chef Jean-Claude. A few of our favourite dishes include the Madagascan prawns cooked with shallots, garlic and butter; the beef burger with blue cheese and garlic mayonnaise and the stone bass à la provençale. Advance booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
Delicious food with amazing flavours. My husband loved the crab soup which reminded him of Home (Mauritius), I had the trio of fish which was gorgeous and he had the rougail prawns. Our son had a very generous portion of mussels. Waiting staff was very friendly.
The food is excellent and fairly priced. There is a heavy emphasis on fish dishes, which are served in a variety of different and tasty ways and a lot of care goes into their presentation. My husband’s rib eye steak from the set menu was very good and perfectly cooked. Would highly recommend.
This was our second visit in 3 weeks, so we obviously liked it. Food is excellent. Our only criticism is that the service is slow, albeit that the staff are very friendly.
