Excellent occasion. Friendly staff who went the extra mile and good food.

We had a really lovely evening at Côte in Watford which is our local branch. We felt safe with tables distanced and staff wearing masks. The food was delicious (we had the specials) and the ambience was perfect. Not too noisy or quiet and lovely ‘evening’ lighting. Staff were courteous and always there when needed. One of our best Côte experiences.

Great meal, superb service, we were really made to feel welcome and special as we were celebrating two birthdays. The decorated table, card and little dessert were lovely.

The Staff in this Cote are excellent, with what is going on with Covid they really look after their customers.

Had brunch outside in the sun on Sunday. Really enjoyed it, excellent full English and Vegetarian breakfast. Very helpful waiter answered all my partner’s dietary questions and provided full ingredients list.

Lovely saucisson sec pre starter. My starter of crab toast was absolutely gorgeous. My husband however was a bit disappointed with his starter of prawn gratinee, he found it a bit bland. I tried it and thought the same was a bit plain. My main of boeuf bourguignon was excellent really tasty with lots of lovely slow cooked beef yum! My husband had the half chicken which he found tasty, but a bit dry. Merlot wine was lovely, full of lovely fruit flavour. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant very kindly took my husbands starter off the bill without us even asking which I thought was a lovely gesture. We have been eating at the Cote restaurant chain for years and I can honestly say I have never personally had a bad meal in there, always lovely and we will definitely dine there again. Thank you Cote team 😊

I have been a Cote customer for over 10 years (Ealing, St Albans, Watford) and have always been highly satisfied with the overall experience. The staff are very well trained and always provide a highly professional, friendly service (Sam in particular is a credit to your Watford restaurant). The food is consistently of a high standard. Great choice of wines which pair very well with the menu. Best restaurant in town!

The service was awful. Maybe the chefs don't understand the Fougasse or you've changed it but it was served burnt and very dry- no taste of garlic. I've been eating at Cote for years and always when I've had the Fougasse it has been served with a dipping melted garlic butter. When I asked if it's been changed I was told it's always been dry and without a melted dipping butter. Makes it a very pointless bland horrible dish

Very tasty breakfast, quick and friendly service. We had our 21 month old son with us and he was treated like a celebrity. We have been there for dinner lots of times but will definitely be going there more often for breakfast

Excellent food and service - chateaubriand could have been slightly warmer and it would be good to see the alcohol percentages listed on the menu - we ordered the corbieres and didn't realise it was 15% until it was opened!

Had birthday meal with my wife and daughter. As usual comfortable and pleasant experience at restaurant. Obviously different now with COVID in terms of celebrating and people not coming close etc. However steak meal was delicious also my wife’s fish stew and daughters children menu. Staff very friendly also, made very welcome. It’s one of best on high st in my opinion for restaurants

Food was amazing as always. Awesome waitress but she had way too many guests to serve which meant long wait times and our drinks sat on the side. When we arrived at 7 we had plenty of room and felt comfortable, we are regular customers and this is our first time back since lockdown. During the course of our dinner the restaurant became very full. It was uncomfortable and the guests next to us were less than a metre away. No screens and no protection, it felt unsafe and we weren’t used to it. We would normally stay for dessert but actually felt like we just needed to leave. We asked the waitress about the amount of guests dining and she replied “we weren’t expecting it to be this busy” which makes me think they were un prepared for that amount of guests. It’s a shame, we expected more safety measures in place and it ruined the end of our evening.

Good as ever, food and service excellent, friendly, no pressure

We are fairly regular visitors to Cote Watford and enjoy the ambiance and good service. Not best pleased with two dishes:- lamb shoulder was very fat and not very tender and my order was for pan fried haddock but came as haddock goujons which was not very tasty

Desserts are poor now I believe they are shipped in and not fresh and tastes that way. Won’t return until this changes. Other courses very nice.
