Côte Watford

Loved the new cote in Watford. It's about time Watford had such a lovely restaurant. The staff were fantastic! On entering the restaurant we we pleasantly addressed and shown to our table, which we had previously booked online. The food was fabulous, cooked to perfection and very good value for money. I would definitely go there again.

Great customer service, very warm & inviting, food was a little bit too salty but was very hot and delicious. I look forward to coming back!

Today, I enjoyed a fantastic Mother's Day at the newly opened Côte brasserie in Watford. Amongst the many newcomers to the revamped High St at Charter Place, it has already established itself as a firm favourite. Blessed with extremely friendly, amenable and courteous staff, led by an attentive and professional management, Côte has given Watford it's first taste of 21st Century dining. Long overdue and most welcome for a town this size and in such close proximity to London, it is ideally situated and the menu caters for any and all tastes over brunch, lunch and dinner during a foray into town. I already look forward to my next visit to this most welcome establishment.

This was our first visit to Watford Cote which is now the closest in the chain to us so we were interested to experience the new venue. We were greeted and asked to wait a short while for our table. We were shown to our table for four which turned out to be in the busiest area, hence rather noisy. I had booked through an email I had received offering a March special drink, a St Germaine gin and tonic, these were served and were really refreshing. The food was delicious, up to the usual Cote standard. We were served with an infectious smile by Pedro, who was charming and efficient. Thank you Cote Watford for an enjoyable evening and good luck for the future.

It’s a lovely restaurant, the food is great and the staff are brilliant. We have a toddler and they were very accommodating, it’s a family friendly restaurant.

The restaurant was gorgeous with a great atmosphere, the staff were very attentive, the food was simply divine and I would highly recommend the rhubarb martini! Wagner (The Manager) made us feel very welcome and could not have done enough. An incredible dining experience. We will be back! Thank you. ☺️ Charissa

food satisfactory, but service not great. After giving our order one of our party ordered soup and specifically asked to make sure it was very hot as previously when visiting a Cote restaurant was warm. Soup arrived warm and had to be sent back. My husband and I had ordered bread to share to start and this still hadn't arrived when our friends had both almost had finished their starters. I had to ask another waitress where our bread was, it then arrived and was plunked on the table without any side plates. I had to ask another waitress for side plates. The main courses arrived and my friend had a chicken dish which said included french beans, there were four beans on the plate so he told the waiter and to be fair they bought him a complimentary portion. I feel the staff need better training.

Very good place, good food quality and choice in the menu. I like the small appetizer and the main course. I had the grilled swordfish and and the end a coupe noire as dessert

A very pleasant lunch date with my daughter and friend. Food and service very good. Our meal was well presented, but such a shame you do not supply soup spoons or is this usual practice these days? Overall, very much enjoyed. Thank you.

Our first visit to this new Cote and we weren’t disappointed. The usual service and great standard of food. There was a small hiccup with our main dish but we were given a complimentary glass of wine which more than made up for the slight delay.

Food was lovely but everything was a bit slow. We arrived at 710pm and had mains and dessert by 920pm. If I was out with friends I wouldn’t have minded so much but it was for my birthday and I had my son with us. We waited ages to order then 40 minutes for mains. Then we waited again to order dessert. It was busy but I feel as service charge is added to all bills there’s no reason for anyone to try and give good service

Great asset to Watford. Usual excellent standard of food and the staff were efficient, friendly and very welcoming.

It got busy quite quickly and there was a delay in getting the final bill. Overall, food was good. A bit close together on the seating.

overall pleased with the food and the service. will definitely come back to the restaurant again. The only way I can feedback on is online reservation did not send the confirmation email.

As always the customer service was top notch, the staff here have always been so good and attentive. The only downside today was that we had to wait quite some time for our coffees and then our food - it was fathers day and they were busy - but the staff were so apologetic about it and offered free pastries during the wait.

We love Cotes restaurant have been going to St Albans one for sometime- great that we now have one in Watford. Great food and great staff - see you again very soon

Although only my 3rd visit since opening, can't praise experience enough. Amazing service, staff are super professional, authentic, courteous & friendly, offering helpful recommendations with the menu, with nothing too much trouble. Great menu, including vegan options. One thing I miss is Risotto amazing vegan risotto! I went with Gin enthusiasts on all occasions so if I had to make one small recommendation it would be more interesting Gin's & Tonics. Thank you Sarah & your team for another great experience.

The service was above and beyond excellent and the food was fabulous. The wine was a perfect match and even the coffee was great. I lived in France for 20 years, returning to the UK last year. I have had a hard time adjusting and came here tonight to feel some modicum of French dining and culture. Given that Côte is a chain, I was not entirely convinced that I would be impressed but I was wrong. Well done to you all, from front of house to kitchen via service and bussing. We had a truly enjoyable evening and will be back.

The new Cote Brasserie in Watford offers an excellent range of food and drink at reasonable prices. Service is very good and the location and design are good.

We were slightly apprehensive given the restaurant is newly opened but we had a lovely lunch. Very attentive staff. Excellent food nicely presented. The glazed carrots were exceptional!! Altogether a delightful dining experience and one we'll be repeating in the very near future.

Friendly service staff, good selection of choices on the menu, just right size portion. Pork Belly was cooked perfect with crispy skin and melt in mouth texture, hopefully, this standard could be kept consistent. Great choices of desserts.

Chips tasted like they were from McDonalds and thought it was rude how the optional service charge was added to the bill and already put in the card machine when asked for ! As it’s optional the waiter she ask the customer if they thought the service was okay today and if they want to pay it! Not try and be cheeky and already put it in the card machine !

Much better than previous experience. Waiter was superb. Felt like a much slicker operation. Food was good. We chose from al la carte menu and food was well cooked and presented.

We had a wonderful evening, I asked for a quiet table and we got exactly that. We are all vegetarians and the Vegetarian menu was excellent so much choice, all our dishes were delicious. We were all impressed & will return, soon I hope.

Lovely food however could have done with a bit of extra sauce with my butterfly chicken in cream sauce

A super restaurant in the centre of Watford. The food was very tasty and the staff and service exceptional! An ideal restaurant for a celebration.

I booked a table for surprise "Baby shower" on Saturday, for my friend. It was our first ever visit there, and what a great experience we had! We were late (an hour!), and the table still was ready for us. The customer service was just excellent! Haven't been in the restaurant recently where staff would be so caring, helpful and make every minute so special. The only down side was that I had an email to receive free bottle of wine, which I asked to swap for the soft drinks (waitress agreed to that), but we still were charged for them. I would like to thank all Cote Brasserie Stuff, who made my friend feeling so special during this exciting time (the beautiful personalised, drawn card by you- It was so lovely), especially Samuel who was looking after us that evening- thanks Samuel! Went to the new Cote in Watford on a Sunday at lunchtime for my mother's birthday. The service was excellent from the Host right through the waiting staff. The food was excellent and the recommendations spot on. They even offered a few extras on the house given the occasion which was a lovely touch. Would come again, would definitely recommend.

The restaurant was lovely and clean as was the cutlery and glasses etc. The waitress who served us was polite and friendly. It's very expensive to eat here but for special occasions then it's definitely worth a visit. My husband and I shared an appetiser and had a starter each which we enjoyed. I had Swordfish which I had to return. It was rubbery and parts of it had a foul smell so I assume it was off. I spoke to the waitress who in turn called the Manager, without a fuss he removed my plate and asked if I'd like to reorder, which I did, it was a chicken dish, it was reasonably priced, I've had similar elsewhere so nothing too different. My husband ordered Beef Bourgion, overall he wasn't too impressed with it, he spent a lot of time picking out the fat, at a price of £16, it was poor value for money. I would give this place a go again, we might have been unlucky but if the food isn't much better the next time then we'll call it a day at Cote Brasserie.

Dinner with friends. All courses were lovely except the mussels were over cooked.

Food excellent. French onipn soup starter delicious. Messy toilets and no loo paper in one cubicle. And poor and sometimes clumsy service disappointing. Cannot fault the food so will go back.

A lovely, friendly welcome and great service throughout made for a great meal. The food in Cote is always good quality and well presented and prepared; it is one of the best mid-range restaurants and a welcome addition to the High street in Watford.

Great atmosphere, food and service was 5*. I will be back to sample even more of the menu.
