Another satisfying meal with great service at the Watford restaurant.

Sadly the burger we requested plain came with bacon & the cheese we requested on top of it - we returned the burger - when it came back - it was really overcooked & tasted burnt - my granddaughter ate very little of it Our meals were very nice - but shame this spoilt the occasion

Exceptional food and really great service made our evening perfect.

We really missed the Cote during lockdown and really looked forward to dining there last night. The staff were friendly and attentive as always and the food was delicious. We really enjoyed our night and look forward to the next one very soon.

Table staff almost appeared to ignore us once we had eaten. Didnt take our plates for a while and we were struggling to order more drinks and the restaurant wasn't that busy at the time so there was no excuse for that really. Foos was average, steal wasnt that nice and the creamy spinach was more soggy than creamy.

Overall enjoyed the whole dining experience and the food was excellent

Food was great as usual however a couple of issues. We ordered bread which took ages to arrive we had to remind then no plates which is unhygienic. Our bill arrived before we finished, it felt a bit rushed. I know there are time restrictions for Covid etc and you have only just re-opened but this is also a new experience for customer and wasn’t made to feel special really

Had a lovely evening and the restaurant has well adapted to the new requirements of masks and distancing.

Never had less than a good experience here; courteous, helpful staff; well presented food and a very good drinks selection. One of the few high street chains where a dietary requirement causes no drama. Very glad you are back.

Overall, the service was good but it took a long time to be given any cutlery and i was never offered any complimentary water. Food was excellent as always.

Standard of food and service was very good. Just what we expect from Cote

Friendly efficient service but the food wasn't quite as good as we are used to. The starters were ok - a little lacking in taste - my wife enjoyed her goats cheese salad but the calamari we had was just ok...i've had it here before where's its been tasty - today it was cold and chewy. The mains were also just ok - I had the steak frites - it was lackluster and cold - i didn't have the heart to complain as we were out as a family and didn't want to disrupt the mood. My wife's chicken arrived hot, but the wrong sauce was brought out and by the time the sauce arrived the chicken had gone cold... Still a pleasant atmosphere and really good service. With the food being disappointing i am not sure i will be coming back in a hurry for a long time.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our return to Cotes when it re-open its doors again this week. The service was attentive and the food was great. Our only concern was that the tables were a little closer than we would have liked. Given the current pandemic it certainly did not meet the 2m distance requirement nor does it have any partitioning screen between the tables like some restaurants have. We couldn't be totally relax to enjoy our meals instead we were always on alert when people next to us got up etc...

Wonderful that you have now reopened! I often tell my friends it's just like being in France. Great food, ambience and wine! Also must recognize Erika Pasztor for her warm welcome and excellent service!

Great meal and happy to say Cote is open again Watford - Breton Tomatoes are a must.

Considering you have only been reopened 2 days, it was pleasure to eat in Watford. I picked Lamb. It was truly delightful. Congrats and welcome back! x

Glad to see it’s reopened, friendly greeting and a good atmosphere. Starters were all good, slightly mixed thoughts about the mains, one steak was great whilst the other one was dry and it felt as if it had come from frozen. Pork belly very fatty but well cooked, gratin potatoes very dry. Appreciate the streamlined menu but then each dish has to be very good. Enjoyed the eat out help out offer but felt without that it wouldn’t have been great value.

A few teething troubles on the first day back but otherwise the usual good service and excellent food. Welcome back Cote!

We did enjoy our visit at Watford. The food was very good and also the service was very good.

Food service was incredibly slow. It was mothers day and if I had known it was going to be this disappointing I would have stayed home and cooked for my family - it would have been a better experience. Insult was added to injury when presented with the bill there was a £13 service charge on there!

Lovely meal at Cote Watford on Friday 1st March. Few teething problems to be expected when the restaurant is only been open since Monday! Sarah the GM fantastic and really looked after us. Would highly recommend as the food was amazing. Caroline

Lovely meal ; the lamb and the fillet steak were perfect although the lamb could have come with one more veg. The coffee was good. It was relatively quiet at 5pm but we could have done without the background music. I will not go there at weekends when it's busy as it will be very noisy, due to the tiled floor and open space reverberating sound. We enjoyed the meal and will go back.

The food was superb, Timing between courses spot on 10/10. Seating was comfortable and background music excellent. Would thoroughly recommend for any occasion, well done Watford Branch!

Amazing food and service. The Eggs Royale were delicious as was the coffee. The formulae option is great value - hot breakfast, a hot drink and a orange juice or apple juice 😀

We have eaten here several times now and the staff are always friendly and attentive.

Service was amazing with every waitress/ waiter being attentive. The food was well presented and delicious. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family. The set menu deal is definitely one to look out for!
