Given the current climate surrounding COVID-19, many authorities are placing restrictions on social gatherings. The Nottingham suburbs of Chilwell and Beeston is home to a number of high-quality curry houses. If you’re looking for an Indian restaurant in this part of the city you’re spoiled for choice, but lovers of Birmingham’s biggest export – the balti – would do well to pay a visit to Cottage Balti up on Chilwell Road. If you like your curry in a bucket, go for a Cottage Balti specialty like the lamb or chicken balti or the special mix balti, this latter cooked with chicken, lamb and king prawns – order it hot or not at all! Besides signature balti dishes, this Indian restaurant covers all the traditional and contemporary bases when it comes to South Asian cuisine. With child-friendly premises and warm, welcoming staff, this 150-seater restaurant still manages to get very busy at peak times, so be sure to book just in case.
The food was amazing as usual. A very friendly atmosphere created by the staff, very quite for a Friday night and the cobra beer remains a favourite of mine
Always a decent curry, generous with the poppadums and chutneys and reasonably priced. Straight off the tram into the front door.
We had a fantastic meal! The food was second to none and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Not a bad word to say. Excellent experience! Thank you :-)
