Service very slow, portion size small, won't be going again. Has the potential to be great but just isn't quite there yet. Bar man seemed lovely but very confused when asked about anything!
Great quirky restaurant. Fabulous cocktails (2-for-1 Happy Hour helps!!) and the food was pretty nice too. Restaurant has lots of books and crannies and is packed full of curios.
Great atmosphere, friendly helpful staff and yummy cocktails. Although it was a Friday night we didn't feel rushed and were able to take our time over our meal and drinks. Would definitely recommend it and will be back!
My first visit to Curious Manor, taking school friends I hadn't seen for over 40 years! What a great place! We loved the food, the ambiance and the cocktails. Service was polite and discrete. I will be going again & so will my friends!
Visual aspect great!!! Cocktails were lovely. Food was edible, not tasty. Disappointed as we both was so excited to go. Unfortunatly I will not be recommending.
We had a really warm welcome on arrival, our table was ready and in the location we requested. The service was very good and the meal was fantastic, over a great experience.
Really fantastic food but slow service. However, it's a really fantastic venue with a great menu. We had a main meal but the afternoon tea offering looked amazing and we will be returning to try that out soon.
Interesting place & nice food but the service was really poor, probably wouldn't go again. There was a distinct lack of communication between staff ...
The tapas selection we had was lovely. Great atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff. Love the quirky decor and the Disney music played in the ladies loo!
Great atmosphere, amazing decor, great food, fantastic themed cocktails. Best view in Nottingham! Lovely unique place to hango out with friends for dinner and drinks!
Interesting restaurant with good choice of food and drinks. Very reasonably priced. Only criticism would be service was quite slow so we were waiting a while to order puddings and more drinks. Overall a good night.
I had heard so many good reports about this venue, however I was very disappointed, when we arrived there was quite a lot of old food and bits on the floor under the tables, we ordered a round of drinks and one had to be sent back as there was lipstick round the glass, we ordered a child's pizza which was cold and under cooked, a steak which was ordered medium but came out well done, and another pizza which didn't have much toppings and was quite burnt, we had to wait quite a while for the plates to be taken away and wasn't offered a desert menu, I was very much looking forward to coming here with so many people saying how lovely it was, I wouldn't recommend to a friend
Lovely place with great atmosphere. Service was a bit slow. Nice food. Options on the menu were good. Drink selection was great. Great spot to people watch
really good food! lovely atmosphere and the staff were really helpful, will defiantly come here again! loved the crocodile burger and the drinks were really tasty.
Was concerned about speed of service after reading previous reviews, yet despite it being really busy, service was very fast, friendly and efficient. We had the Chocolate Afternoon tea, which was a real delight! We requested cocktails instead of tea, and that was fine. I had the Lemon Meringue and the Edison cocktail, which came in a lightbulb, both were delicious! Overal, I will be making several more reservations for this quirky, friendly and intriguing venue. It was a delight!
Love the place and can't wait to return! Relaxed atmosphere perfect for Sunday lunch, excellent and faster than expected service (despite the poor reviews) and really good afternoon tea. The child's afternoon tea was perfect and good value at £6 and my daughter really did think she was at an Alice in wonderland tea party. Great first experience curious manor see you soon!
Service was wonderful, food was freshly prepared with an interesting menu. Plenty for vegetarians too! Only thing I might do is turn the music down a touch as my girlfriends and I were struggling to hear each other at times at lunch over the music. Thanks for a great time though. We will be back!
One word,AMAZING you walk into a nice coffee shop, get in the lift and when the doors open, you walk into another world . So much to look at, food amazing and lovely staff .
Food ok but not amazing; Limited choice on Sundays. Service slow considering it was not very busy. Booked table for 5pm food arrived 6:15; we weren't in a rush so not a problem. Overall, a nice place I'd give a second chance.
Good service, food and cocktails. Staff attentive and helpful. Service was quick and food was good. Restaurant decorated well and clean. Will be going back
Lovely food , great service, friendly staff , I would definitely recommend to a friend and I would go again some time in the future
Good food, good drinks good atmosphere, with friendly helpful staff. But the best thing about the Manor, is the amount there is to see just looking around the room while you enjoy your time there.
The food was excellent and I love the quirkiness of this place. However, we were let down by maintenance being conducted in the area of the bar we we sat in- as we were booked in, I can see why we weren't sat away from this and very much took away from the whole experience sadly :(
Great food. However when the waitress showed us to our table, the seats wetent suitable for people with back problems. We asked if we could move.. the waitress initially thought it would be difficult but checked and escorted us to a table which was squeezed tightly in a cornet. I had to move the other table and seats to be able to sit comfortably. I asked if we could sit over looking the window and was informed that we couldnt despite no one sitting there during our visit. One of my guests asked if they could do a cream tea but with alternative cream. The waitress checked with the chef and apparently that was not an option. The music was too loud for us to have a conversation with each other. Again when asked if they could turn it down it was a polite no. As much as we enjoyed the food.. we will probably choose other venues. The staff were as polite as they could be. So i dont blame them for the things that happened. Just the procedures that are in place seem awkward.
Good service Good choice of food Quirky venue .. would highly recommend for lunch or dinner. Cocktail menu looks good too .. I'll be checking that out shortly
Good food and very quirky ideas that overall made the experience along with the very friendly staff. The curious manor was beautiful inside and made you feel as though you was in a different world from the walls to the stairs. Would thoroughly recommend.
Overall very good night. Seated promptly, the food was delicious and the service was accommodating and polite. Bar staff were delightful. Well worth the money.
The food and staff were lovely We would have preferred a few more sandwiches and little less cake - just thought it was a bit cake heavy . . . The savouries were delicious and loved the macaroons Our table was in the corner and it was quite narrow with cramped leg room because of the angle of the table and seating - would not choose that seat again, my legs were really cramped.
I booked a table for lunch, never been before, the menu looked appealing online! Me and my mum where that impressed we then rebooked a table for that evening with my dad, husband & daughter! The food is lovely, fairy priced and presented beautiful! And the cocktails are amazing!!!
