Curious Manor

Perfect venue for a sparkling afternoon tea with the girls. The restaurant is lovely and very quirky, especially the toilets, well worth a visit or two!

Food was delicious (apart from the Camembert which was a bit burnt). Cocktails were amazing! Service wonderful and attentive.

Afternoon tea was a great price and presented beautifully. We had the Lemon and Raspberry cake and it was to die for. The only thing I'd say is that the scones were a bit strange; they were traditional scones, they had an odd glaze on them and tasted a bit bitter! Service was lovely

Great service, lovely food and good drinks! The decor is beautiful. Bit pricy but fun for a special treat or a fun day out. Loved the cocktails!

Food came pretty fast after ordering, was very nice. Cocktails are amazing however service was quite slow as it was fairly busy which is understandable. Only issue is that we had to shout for the waitor/waitress' attention with it being loud in there. Also, we had been seated for an hour and a half only when a gentleman asked if he could move us as they had another reservation for the table in 15 minutes. I think this is pretty poor customer service and planning and definitely affected the mood as we left around 10 minutes later.

Brilliant service, friendly staff, lovely food and just a cool quirky place to sit and chat for a couple of hours and drink some cocktails! My only problem is that if you don't really eat pizza or burgers then your options are steak or salad, which is fine with me but not everyone. Overall though I loved it and can't wait to go again 😍🍸

We had the chocolate afternoon tea. The staff were excellent again, helpful and friendly. Although the afternoon tea looked amazing and was generous it was not as nice as the cocktail afternoon tea I've had previously. The scones were extremely dry, the chocolate cake was also dry. A little disappointing this visit compared to others which was a shame as I was bringing friends for a birthday treat.

Lovely food, service and surroundings. Had a good experience. I ordered a burger which came with fries. Very tasty. Prices were reasonable. Value for money. Thanks.

Lovely good, great atmosphere. A little slow to get us seated but the service once we got to our table was excellent. We didn't have a table until 8:30 but won't go that late in future as they turn the lights down about then and we ended up eating in the dark! Other that'll that would highly recommend.

Amazing food and amazing attentive service. They could not do enough for us. We loved the quirky ness of this place and the cocktails were fab.

Lovely meal and great atmosphere, went at lunch time and it was pretty quiet. cocktails are delicious along with the massive variety of cakes that they have!

A lovely place with different food and drink however the service was very slow, we were promised two side plates and never received them and also had to go and get the bill ourselves, other than that a lovely night

Staff all lovely, really helpful! Decor is brilliant, strange and very random! Food was fab, had manor burger & pork one, cooked perfectly, not dry (one thing I dread when having burgers at restaurants). Cocktails, were delicious. Especially 'Petting the Pier'. Fab!

Food and place lovely. Service was shocking. Waited over half an hour for drinks. Asked for Bill 3 times. Waitress dropped tray of drinks on us with no real apology

Main meal was good, but really greasy. Pudding (Eton Mess) was poor, it tasted like squirty cream with broken pieces of meringue and a tiny amount of fruit sauce. I wouldn't eat it again. We make it by mixing the cream with vanilla ice cream, and some raspberry yoghurt, and serve with a mint sprig, just an idea.

A great afternoon spent here with friends - food and service was fabulous! Lovely atmosphere and very quirky design of bar and restaurant. Will definitely return!

Excellent service, scrumptious food in a pleasant and cosy environment. The drinks on offer are expertly made and of very high quality. I am sure we shall return for lunch and cocktails.

Really lovely meal and incredibly friendly staff! They were very accommodating and we had a great time! We had pizzas and they were delicious and I'd highly recommend the French maid cocktail!

Chilli in everything. Unnecessary. Even in the puddings. Otherwise nice, good ambience, quick service. Cocktail menu good and reasonably priced food. Love the decor and a pleasant place to spend an evening

Lovely food. Lovely place. Only a 3 rating though as i asked for a cloth due to getting food on the table and staff actually gave me a cloth for me to clean the table! Service wasnt the greatest.

Second visit and wasn't disappointed. Delicious food, friendly and helpful excellent m Kids enjoyed looking around. Only regret I didn't order baked Camembert looked delicious.

Lovely food and atmosphere will definitely be booking and going back in the near future .good value for money and something different from the norm

This is my 4th visit to The Curious Manor. It is a good place to have lunch. The menu is varied and presents lots of different styles of 'eating'. The staff are friendly and I love the decor.

Loved the place... Food was good and the cocktails were even better. Only downside was the price but loved the atmosphere so I'd definitely go again

was quite pricey for for our burgers + chips!! some members of party found menu quite limited..... + drinks v expensive!!! and unfortunately on our date the disabled toilet was unavailable so a member of our group with hip + knee probs had difficulty getting up + down stairs

Great afternoon tea! Prices were reasonable, only complaint is placed an order of drinks and left waiting so had to re order! Would go again good service apart from forgetting our srinks!

I really enjoyed curious manor. The staff was welcoming and polite, we didn't have to wait long for our food and drinks. I would definitely recommend people going there and I'll definitely be back again

The food was lovely but the service was very slow and not as attentive as I'd expected from such a great setting, we chose the pizza offer which was good value for money.

Very good. Service a bit slow. Dirty glass. Very friendly staff when you could get their attention. Food good. Cocktails at happy hour didn't taste as if there was any alcohol in it.

3rd visit due to nice food. Not top marks due to dirty tea cups/ glasses and cutlery that were sent back. Although quickly replaced. Better service than previously and still improving.

Staff were very attentive and friendly. We had traditional afternoon tea for 3 the bread on the sanwiches and the sponge in the cakes were a little dry but it has been very warm today. Still enjoyed it and would have it again.

Amazing setting, great food and fab service! Nothing was too much trouble, friendly welcome and quick to bring over the bill when we requested it. Toilets are also good!

Absolutely love this place, the Tipsy Afternoon tea is great value for money, My friends and My self had a fantastic time celebrating my Birthday.

Food as always was great, bit as it was a slow night with two massive functions going on the service was either too attentive or completely absent. Not that we minded as we got to sit and relax for a good couple of hours.

Helpful service right away as we stepped in so it made us feel comfortable. Good food and drink so we had an absolutely good time there. The location is perfect in the city centre. Definitely recommend it!

Food was amazing. Waiting staff not so...we got offered a choice of tables, and then got asked to move to the corner where we were ignored by staff unless we called them over. I had to ask the man at the bar to sort our bill out as we wait 20 minutes for someone to come to the table. several members of staff ignored us even though we were clearly waiting. I am also gluten intolerant and the woman asked me if their fries were ok for me! Like I know the recipe! Also got my order wrong and it had to be returned. So overall poor service, but food could not be faulted, well done to kitchen staff :)

Great food, great staff and thank you for taking the time to show my son around. A really interesting place to be. Highly recommended and we will be back!

Loved the place and the staff amazing all so helpful.Food was well cooked and the wine of good quality.Wished that you would do a set price lunch in the week say from monday to Friday i suggest 2 courses for about £10.95,I would certainly visit more often with friends

Experience was great lovely atmosphere in place. Fantastic decor. Excellent service. Would recommends to people for sure. If there was one complaint it was that scones were bit flat and crumbly but that's a minor complaint as we had a great time

Loved this quirky place. Great food and great service. Will definitely be visiting again! We had the afternoon tea which was just lovely. And the cake was perfect!
