When restaurateur Allam Shah Ullah began refurbishing the old Cutlers Arms into an Indian restaurant, he was setting out on a path towards realising a dream he’d held since he was a teenager. Now that Cutlers Spice’s Leighton Road premises is up and running and making a big name for itself in this part of Sheffield, Ullah remains under the mentorship of his parents Noim and Ashfurn Nesa Begum, who know that it takes more than determination to earn your stripes as a world-class chef. Still, the young and ambitious upstart has made his mark, curating a superb menu of Bangladeshi and Indian dishes of which the Signature and Cutlers Specials are of particular interest to aficionados of South Asian cuisine. With friendly service and a wonderfully stylish venue, complete with plushly furnished booths for intimate gatherings, Cutlers Spice deserves your reservation.
Excellent meal, well looked after by Alam and his team. Booked online through this application, despite an issue re booking, all went well. Well-done, I would strongly recommend
Great food from varied menu. Always something new to try. Value for money plus all around good service. Plenty of space so doesn't feel crowded. Will go again and again.
As ever fantastic food and great service. Forgot part of a main course and had to wait a short time for it but apart from that very good.
Great evening. Beautiful food and friendly service the staff cannot do enough forty. Your not waiting long for food and decently priced. It's our favourite.
Last visited this place when it was a pub so was interested on what interior was like. Place had loads of seating and many groups were in celebrating special occasions and was kid friendly. Service was excellent and we were seated before the time booked. Staff were attentive and never left you with an empty glass. Food was as good as the service, well presented and portion sizes were more than enough. The only down side was parking as the carpark was small but plenty of parking on the roadsides around the restaurant.
I visited Cutlers Spice last Friday with seven of my friends to celebrate my 70th birthday. The evening was a big success. The food, decor and ambience were all excellent and I would definitely go again and recommend it to others. The staff were very busy but friendly
The Cutlers Spice is a lovely relaxed restaurant with really friendly helpful staff, the food was amazing and really generous portions I had to take home a doggy bag, looking forward to dining there again.
Always great food and great service at Cutlers Spice, and they didn't disappoint this time either. If there's something that's not on the menu that you'd like they're very happy to cater to those needs.
Cutlers Spice never disappoints. Been there on many occasions. The staff are always polite and friendly and the food is first class. The restaurant is clean and welcoming. I would highly recommend it.
The employees go to no end to make you happy, they are also fast at bringing what you have asked and polite, all the time. They even apologise for interrupting, if they are asking how the food is, which doesn't happen in a regular restaurant. The food could not get any better, it is perfectly cooked and prepared to look and taste delicious.
