When restaurateur Allam Shah Ullah began refurbishing the old Cutlers Arms into an Indian restaurant, he was setting out on a path towards realising a dream he’d held since he was a teenager. Now that Cutlers Spice’s Leighton Road premises is up and running and making a big name for itself in this part of Sheffield, Ullah remains under the mentorship of his parents Noim and Ashfurn Nesa Begum, who know that it takes more than determination to earn your stripes as a world-class chef. Still, the young and ambitious upstart has made his mark, curating a superb menu of Bangladeshi and Indian dishes of which the Signature and Cutlers Specials are of particular interest to aficionados of South Asian cuisine.
