Very good food and friendly service ... Our waitress was especially good and made up for the fact there was no wine menu ....she simply had to try to remember it ...so management at sleep. ....waitress on top form

Service was good, Menu seems a bit on the expensive side for what you get, My onion Bhaji starter was lovely but my main Marinated Spare rib beef was £18 and I feel i didn't get my moneys worth in quantity or quality. There wasn't much choice on the dessert menu. The venue itself is lovely and very clean. I had a nice evening but if I was in the area again I would opt for a different venue.

Wonderful food great staff and a lovely atmosphere. Can't recommend it more highly. It was a great evening and the menu left it hard to choose as everything sounded great.

Great tasty food , but a large pary was sat near us and they were very loud . Which made us decide against having dessert.

Had a fabulous meal in the Lodge Restaurant, lovely staff who were very friendly, attentive and helpful. Food was delicious and the chefs catered for my gluten free needs easily. The restaurant was a lovely space to enjoy a special meal in. Thank you!

Booking made and confirmed. On arrival we were told the restaurant was closed! Just what we wanted to hear . . . not! Never again.

Lovely service, good food, central location in Grasmere. Clean rooms. However, standard double rooms are rather small, and the room I was staying in was noisy.

A really enjoyable meal in a quiet and unassuming restaurant. I had scorched mackerel as a starter and it was simply stunning, my wife had soup of the day ‘pea and bacon’ which she really enjoyed. It was a Sunday evening so the special beef dinner was ordered by my wife and I had the duck breast - both meals were very good. With 2 drinks the bill came to £55; I would describe this as excellent value for money and would highly recommend this restaurant.

Couldn't fault the food or the room, setting etc, however we were one of only two couples in there which left the atmosphere a bit flat. Probably should have gone next door to Tweedies where the menu is the same apparently but there was more people in. Don't know if it was cheaper perhaps? Didn't check tbh.

Professional and friendly staff, great food and a really pleasant atmosphere. Food was pricey for a pub, but it was certainly worth it. Wouldn't hesitate to go recommend or to go again if we were in the area.

Went to the restaurant for a Birthday celebration dinner over Xmas. Very good food and quality wines - not quite fine dining but still highly recommended. Friendly staff, but service a little slow - perhaps slightly understaffed for the time of year.

The food and the service was fantastic. The waiting staff were efficient and polite. We ate in the bar area even though we were booked into the restaurant. This was due to being the only ones in the restaurant but this was in no way an inconvenience for us or the staff. The food tasted and looked out of this world. It is certainly a place I would eat again and have already recommended to others. It was topped off by a free glass of bubbles to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you to all the staff for making it wonderful.

In the end, we ate in 'Tweedys' restaurant which forms part of the Dale Lodge Hotel; with the same menu but a less formal setting. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was some of the best we have eaten in the lakes. It has been quite the highlight of our trip!

Staff were great and we had an enjoyable birthday celebration. Food was delicious and there was a lovely relaxed feeling in the dining room. We would visit again.
