Davy's Crusting Pipe

I had pre-booked and requested a round table, if possible, as there were six of us who hadn't met up for over five years and had a lot of catching up to do. Very pleasantly surprised with both our round table and our secluded alcove. Lovely Sunday Roasts, Cheese and Biscuits and Wine and very well looked after by our knowledgeable and friendly waitress for the afternoon, Shirley. Would definitely go back to this particular branch of the Davy's chain especially as it is open on a Sunday whereas my regular haunt (Champagne Charlie's) isn't. Very many thanks for help making our Sunday get-together such a memorable occasion.

Delicious afternoon tea, very friendly service, comfortable atmosphere inside the restaurant. My friends and I would highly recommend Crusting Pipe for anyone searching for a place to enjoy afternoon tea!

This is a quite a gem and has kept its quality despite doing a lot of covers due throughout the day. Good food, good service, good atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I would highly recommend the Crusting Pipe. We celebrated my daughters birthday, the food is amazing the price reasonable. The atmosphere perfect, we will most definitely be be returning.

The Crusting Pipe was very disappointing. Our scones we're stale, they didn't provide enough cream or jam, one portion between two people. Slow, unfriendly, overpriced.

Sat in the courtyard but close to the pub so we could hear the buskers but talk too ! :) v. nice. Lovely food too !

What an amazing place. On arrival our table was laid up and ready to seat 9 ladies in one of the brick alcoves. Brillant place for us as we were all excitable. Our waiter was quick and efficient, and nothing was too much trouble. We were limited for time and a little worried that we would not be serviced our main course in time but everything came very quickly and was absolutely fantastic. The food was very tasty and great presentation. Fabulous place and food, defo recommended.

I love this restaurant. The food and service is always great and last night our waiter, Ollie, was exceptional. Had a lovely evening and wouldn't hesitate to return or to recommend.

Initially we were disappointed to receive a large jug of Pims that was mainly ice but the waitress topped it up for us and everything was wonderful!

Initially the service was very slow which spoilt the experience but it got better as the meal progressed and the food was delicious. Overall it was a very pleasant time.

We had a great evening at Crusting Pipe with our friends from Pisa. We even had a private room! The food was delicious and beautifully presented although we were disappointed that the traditional Sunday roast was finished. Nothing was too much trouble, booked table and they changed to outside without hesitation, also allowed us to wait for half hour for our friends.

Always lovely at The Crusting Pipe - great for pre-theatre suppers. Would be even more super if there was more than one veggie main course to chose from please! Thank you.

We were given seats in a small private room suitable for 8 which was ideal . Service excellent and food very tasty. Will definitely return

Great food great service we ordered a light lunch and we're in and out within an hour which is ideal as we had a busy weekend. The atmosphere was great and it was good value for money I will defiantly come back.

They've got good service, and friendly staff. It's a great place for a traditional British afternoon tea without being too expensive. Perfect for two people to share.

Hard to find, downstairs! Nice staff. We had afternoon tea, it was a nice experience but next time we will try something else. Very good coffee!

We went for a pre-theatre dinner. The food was pretty good and the prices were not at all bad. Service was smiling and friendly and quick enough that we did not have to rush for the theatre.

Food excellent, waitress attentive, quick and efficient, and table booking process (on line 2 months ago) worked well. Very pleased generally and will definitely return.

The Crusting Pipe has perfect service, a wonderful location, great wines and good food. And there's usually classical music being performed outside. What more can you want?

Good food, good service. As Londoners it was the perfect place to bring our visitors - outside there was a music from Opera House performers, inside it was relaxed and easy to talk. We would happily revisit.

I am totally in love with this restaurant. First class food, right amounts, lively yet classy environment and a great team of attendants. Excellent, truly excellent. Excellent for work lunches and excellent for family evenings. Well done!

We have used the Crusting Pipe several times with friends. The atmosphere is always cheerful and friendly, food from the varied menu has always been good and service has also been good. All the friends we have taken there have enjoyed the experience. We will be back.
