Nothing was too much trouble, booked table and they changed to outside without hesitation, also allowed us to wait for half hour for our friends.

We had a great evening at Crusting Pipe with our friends from Pisa. We even had a private room! The food was delicious and beautifully presented although we were disappointed that the traditional Sunday roast was finished. The service and ambiance was excellent and a festive atmosphere in the courtyard with live music

Initially the service was very slow which spoilt the experience but it got better as the meal progressed and the food was delicious. Overall it was a very pleasant time.

Always lovely at The Crusting Pipe - great for pre-theatre suppers. Would be even more super if there was more than one veggie main course to chose from please! Thank you.

They've got good service, and friendly staff. It's a great place for a traditional British afternoon tea without being too expensive. Perfect for two people to share.

I have visited the Crusting Pipe many times over the last 25 years and returned yet again Excellent service, friendly staff, ambiance nice, good food. A slight hiccup with food, which the Duty Manager dealt with appropriately .I would recommend to others

Nice people, good food, good wine list, and not excessively expensive given its convenient location in the east lower end of Covent Garden. Highly recommended.

We went for a pre-theatre dinner. The food was pretty good and the prices were not at all bad. Service was smiling and friendly and quick enough that we did not have to rush for the theatre.

The Crusting Pipe has perfect service, a wonderful location, great wines and good food. And there's usually classical music being performed outside. What more can you want?

Good food, good service. As Londoners it was the perfect place to bring our visitors - outside there was a music from Opera House performers, inside it was relaxed and easy to talk. We would happily revisit.

This is an intriguing building with plenty of nooks and crannies in which to sit. There is also an outside (under the old market roof) used mainly as a bar and café where live performers change every half hour. Hence if you want a quiet meal sit inside away from the music! A reasonable selection of dishes and wines but tuned for quick meals and turning the tables over. We would have spent more but felt we were rushed into finishing so we left. Food was okay but nothing to write home about. Service was friendly but rushed and when busy it could be difficult to get anyone's attention.

What a great place. I took my girlfriend and son there recently to celebrate my OU graduation. I had the prawn toast delish! And the ham platter. girlfriend had the confi duck, melt in the mouth! And my son had the steak and kidney pie, best he'd ever tasted. If you like well cooked imaginative British food and excellent wine this is the place to go. atmosphere made even better by the antics of the classical buskers in the courtyard outside.

This is the second time we have visited this restaurant recently. The food is good and the atmosphere relaxed. I felt this time that there seemed a shortage of staff and the service a little slow, however they were friendly and acomodating within these constraints.

Fun and lively venue, excellent food. A music quartet outside looked good. This venue would be equally as good in the summer months. We were s party of 7 and were in a private dining area, very special.

Excellent wine, good food. Nice table but very near the door which every time someone came in or a staff member went out let in very cold air. Could do with a screen or inner door to make for more comfortable meal Would go again but insist on table away from the door
