excellent restaurant and lovely service. food was amazing and waitress was brilliant. would highly recommend the brisket for mains. very intimate restaurant and not too crowded.

Don;t be put off by the decor it might look like a cafe but the food was excellent the service great the place very clean and overall a good night out, my only complaint was the ran out of some of the items on the menu.

Lovely service and great food very nice experience. Waitress very helpful food was plentiful pleasant atmosphere. We did not have to wait long for the meal to arrive.

The food was fabulous and plenty of it. Service was great - nothing was too much trouble and the staff were really friendly without being over the top. Highly recommended.

Brilliant as always. Food so tasty and such a relaxed atmosphere. Always feel like I'm back in the states when I eat here. Can't wait to go again

We went in the evening, lovely relaxed style, great food and fantastic service but was really let down as the place was so cold, we would have happily stayed for dessert and coffee but went elsewhere.

We arrived to a very badly lit practically empty restaurant. We hesitated at going in as it looked so uninviting- but I had booked as it was a posted cinema meal and felt bad. It was a Friday night at 8.30 and there was only one other table in there. The waitress that greeted us was very nice and seated us. The lighting was so bad it made us feel like we are in an operating room. They were energy saving bulbs and the light was too white and bright. I know this sound ridiculous but its was seriously unwelcoming an not at all what you expect from a restaurant. We chose from the menu and as were were the only ones there our food came pretty quickly. However the presentation was dreadful. Our 'boneless' chicken wings had been just bumped on a white plate with some blue cheese sauce in a paper pot (the ones you get in McDonalds for your ketchup) and one sad piece of celery. Our burgers arrived and they were enormous. Too big really it was about quantity rather than quality. The chips were seriously average and the meat was overdone and the burgers tasted very strange. Once again the presentation was school dinners. While we were eating the kitchen started shutting down and the waitress put her coat and bag by the door ready to leave. They started to clear our side plates before we had even finished. When were were finally finished (leaving about a 3rd each) our plates were cleared and we were presented with the bill without being asked if we wanted it! No offer of dessert, no "would you like anything else". My husband hadn't even finished his drink. We left the exact money and stood up to leave. We mentioned how rude it was to rush us out and the staff couldn't have been less bothered. The manager who had been sitting in the corner of the restaurant playing on his phone the whole time said nothing. We left and within 5 minutes the lights were off and the waitress left and locked up. it was 9.10pm. On a Friday night. We won't be returning. Food was poor and and the service, atmosphere and overall experience was dreadful.

My husband and I had a wonderful evening at Drays Yard Smokehouse, celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were excellent, very friendly and attentive. Can recommend 100%!

Delicious bbq food. We had the loaded sweet potato fries which was very tasty and washed it down with the rum and poached pear cider.

Dray Yard Smokehouse Norwich is home to incredible food, it has a great atmosphere, the wait staff and chefs are incredibly friendly and helpful- would wholeheartedly recommend!

Great food, wonderful atmosphere. Only minor quibble is that the chips didn't quite live up to the same quality as the of rest of the amazing food!

Lovely food, but the service could have been better as we had to wait 10-15 minutes before our drink orders were taken, and then it took another 10-15 minutes before they were brought to the table. The staff, however, were very polite throughout.

Absolutely the best burger I have ever eaten! Lovely, friendly staff who wanted to make our experience there the best it could be. Will definitely be returning!

Food nice but if you go late then they've run out of lots of choices. Very bright in there too, a bit cafe like in appearance.

Unfortunately we never ate here because as soon as we walked in there was an overwhelming smell of toilets, so we left without ordering. Have to say the staff seemed oblivious to the smell and surprised that we didn't want to stay. As we left some people on the table next to us confirmed that the smell was quite bad.

Very good food, but the service could have been better. Not offered dessert menu or asked during meal if everything was OK. Front of house Manager not the most welcoming of people, this still does not take from the fact the food quality and portions are excellent and with a few minor tweaks would have lead to a higher rating.

My fav place to eat. Absolutely love the food here and the ribs are just as good as the ones we've had from Deep South, America. I was given a free birthday brownie with ice cream which was delicious. Can't wait till our next visit x

Excellent service. Loads of choice on the menu. Huge portions of nicely cooked food. Would recommend the sweet potato fries, the best of have ever eaten (they look burnt but taste incredible).

Great meal at Dray Yard as always. Helpful and friendly staff, lovely food and good menu. Burgers were tasty as were kids meals, good value for money too.

Really enjoyed our meal and staff were so friendly. I went with my daughter and they catered to what she wanted for her meal. A happy mum!

Early dinner before theatre so quiet when we arrived, therefore speedy service, waiter fun and attentive, food was great, pulled pork to die for. Soon filled up good atmosphere, definitely go again.

We've been many times before but unfortunately this time was disappointing. Seemingly there is a new chef and the offering is different. One good salad and one sub-standard meal. So poor. Soggy breaded cool chicken tasted like frozen and anaemic chips , not fries. Nothing like when the place first opened which at that time were excellent, fresh and plentiful. Standards have definitely dropped as have the choice of draught beer and quality of wine. We had a lovely, polite, friendly server who was apologetic. We fully understand the above is not her fault. We really hope they will lift their game again as we'd like to return if they do.

Toilets needed a little maintenance but nothing terrible. Pulled pork, brisket and beans were very nice and decent value for money. Good came out very quick and service was excellent. Oddly,one plate had nice crispy chips whilst the other was a bit anaemic, both tasted nice though.

Everything about this restaurant is lovely. The food is great, the staff friendly and the small venue makes the atmosphere personal. All at a very reasonable price.

Amazing food thats excellent value for money! Definitely go for the smoked stuff (brisket, ribs etc) not just the burgers as its the best to try out! Super friendly and helpful staff! Would definitely recommend!!

Service was good but that was about it, food was average at best, drinks massively overpriced. The decor in the restaraunt needs a massive face lift. There is no atmosphere in there. Second time I've been as wanted to give it another go, but it will be the last time.

Steak cooked to perfection. A bit crowded and a bit noisy, but it was a Saturday night and there was a large party celebrating a birthday.

Despite being the only people in the restaurant they managed to get our order wrong. They forgot the bacon and added jalapeños which we specifically asked for without. Then my friend found hairs on his plate. We did receive a free drink and discount but we will not be returning

First visit for all four of us. We all agreed the food and the service was very good but quite chilly sitting in proximity of the door.

My family came from Canada and I took them to Dray Yard, they were very impressed with the food and the quality of service. My brother has celiac and the waiter was very helpful in letting him know what was available. One of my favourite places to eat.

The food was good and plenty of it! However, there was a very strong smell of toilets wafting up the stairs to our table and the staff were a bit pushy and disorganised.

One of the best restaurants we have been to for a while! Amazing food, friendly staff and awesome music! Definitely coming back for another meal :)

Great service and nice food overall. The atmosphere was nice, though I think they could turn the lights down a little, as it's very bright for an evening meal. My only criticism though

Amazing food! Great staff who really wanted to help and were very funny. Excellent range of drinks. Good variety of food. Food service was just right, not too slow that you would e eaten a sock, but not so slow that you felt you were being rushed out! Thank you, we had a great time 😊

No atmosphere at all. Bright, unfriendly lighting. Food - very tasty meats but chips were not freshly made, looked like supermarket frozen ones. No effort at all in presentation of food, just slung on a plate. Heating broken down when we visited and walk-ins were turned away but the staff seemed to think it was ok for us and another table who had pre booked. Very chilly! They should have called us to give us the chance to make alternative arrangements or at least informed us on arrival.

Very good food at a good price and the beer was nice and cold and good friendly service and handy for the city centre .

The meal was delicious and priced perfectly. Our waitress was brilliant when we had to query our dessert due to its temperature. Would definitely go back again in the future!

Lovely starter would recommend the boneless chicken wings extra hot and the All in burger has a bit of everything. Good service would definitely recommend.

Very tasty food and for a a good price. Excellent smoked food, especially the nachos. We got seated 40 mins early which was great. Very friendly and fast service.
