Located right in the heart of Glasgow’s City Centre on Waterloo Street, Drop is a popular after work haunt, serving up pub food favourites as well as showing live sports on their fourteen TV’s, and DJ’s spinning tunes on the weekend. At Drop, you could begin your meal with some Indian pakora or Mexican nachos before tucking into some British classics. We recommend the beer-battered haddock and chips and the homemade steak pie served with seasonal vegetables and your choice of chips, wedges or mash. Whether its for a lunch time feast, relaxing after work drink, to catch some live sports games, or to begin a night out on the tiles, Drop in Glasgow City Centre is an ideal choice.
Great Food all the time. Great service. Venue well placed. Good for a work lunch time meet up with friends as the quick services allows you to have some time left to chat!
Service was great. The girl serving us was very pleasant and efficient. We were a party of 4 and each of us enjoyed the food we ordered. I for one would highly recommend the curry and rice. We all said we would definitely be back to try the pizza that one friend had. It looked amazing.
friendly, attentive staff, great food quick service ideal for a quick lunch away from the office. I would recommend to anyone in the area and we will be back.
Very enjoyable experience, couldn’t of asked for better table. Friends were delighted as well and made our day out as great as it was! Cheers!
Great pub but never got a table on the top floor as specifically requested. Must have got the worst possible table positioned right in front of the kitchen. We couldn't have put up with the smell of food all day or staff walking constantly by us with hot/cold food for our whole drinking session. Even got a close up of the Chef's transparent rubbish bag and the contents were horrible enough to put anyone off their pint! Also must be the only part of the pub where your mobile phone doesn't get service. I did ask for the WIFI password "Waterloo17" but it either never worked or was extremely slow. We ended up moving tables a couple of times (a proper pub crawl! Lol) and eventually found a suitable place to sit on the top floor. It was very busy so I can appreciate that it isn't always possible to seat groups where requested but next time I'll phone to reserve a table as that way I can speak to someone in person instead of taking a chance on web booking services.
I've been to Drop several times and always enjoyed it. I normally go to watch the football and have a drink with friends but it was just as great in a meeting environment today.
I had booked a table to watch the tennis. The table I was allocated wasn't ideal for this but when I asked they put other TVs on straight away. There was no commentary on the tennis as they had a dj on, this was slightly annoying but if fairness the tunes were superb! Under £10 for a bottle of wine.... you'll not get better than that!
Drop is class. Booking a table was easy. Good atmosphere, plenty Tv's for the footie, good food and staff were great!!! Will be back again for dayout!!
There was a great atmosphere and I found the staff very friendly. Food was very nice and there was plenty of choice on the menu. Good screens for watching the football which we enjoyed. Will definitely be back again
Food and staff were great, really quick service which you need on your lunch hour. Great selection on the £5 lunch deal and everything we had was really nice. Only complaint is that it was freezing upstairs!
