Went for dinner when the Drum and Monkey lobster festival was on. Superb. The tenderest, juiciest lobster I have eaten. Great oysters as a pre-starter and fantastic fish soup. Great food, great service, great night. Thanks D&M

This was a regular favourite for many years whilst living in Yorkshire; returned whilst holidaying here. Despite different ownership, delighted to find that little more than some of the decor has changed, with many menu favourites still served. Excellent seafood, beautifully prepared as always, friendly service and very good value. Will look forward to returning.

Excellent service from the wonderful and attentive team. The choice of food and quality is still as good as we have experienced before.and perfect for fish foodies. Starter portions are a liitle on the small size but that's just a personal gripe.

Initially service was lacking in any warmth with no query about us having a drink whilst reading thr menu. The resoonse to my qustiond about an interesting looking seafood platter was definitely rude. I almost left at that point but a chsnge of waiter turned the whole experience round. Our food was beautifully cooked and presented. My soup was steaming hot and nice and fishy. We both had monkfish with al dente mangetout soft creamy spinach and nicr new potatoes. Lastly, summer pud and icecream with Madeira raisins kept up the high standard.

Once again, excellent food and efficient and friendly service. Menu continues to offer good range of dishes.

Very good choice of dishes and food itself was excellent. There was also a special lobster menu which was very good value for money. Service was efficient and restaurant inside was much nicer than it appears from the outside.

Tables are small however the service and food was very good. Recommend making a booking early.
