Staff were friendly, knowledgable and attentive without being obtrusive. A wide variety of fish dishes to choose from. The fish soup was worthy of a special mention, it was excellent. A calm, peaceful environment made for a wonderful lunch.

The restaurant got very busy towards the end of our meal and therefore became rather noisy. The food was very good and the waiting times between courses was just right. We will definitely go back sometime.

I love fish so to go there for my birthday surprise was lovely. One of best restaurants I have ever been to. Would go in heart beat. 10/10 for everything.

Dover Sole perfectly cooked. Starters of king scallops and tuna carpaccio delicious. Will be back!

We enjoyed some excellent food and service on this long established Harrogate gem. We have intended to visit for a long time and now that we have will certainly be back soon!

Fantastic service, couldn’t fault any aspect of our lunch. There was a huge variety of amazing seafood on the menu and the food we had (queen scallops, sea bass and sea trout) was absolutely delicious. Looking forward to another visit soon.

Lovely food, service ok but a bit disappointing, some background music and pouring of the wine/champagne would have been appreciated, it’s the little things that are noticeable

Excellent service and all courses were delicious .We ordered from the main menu and shared a large order of scallops to start followed by two orders of hake .Everything was beautifully cooked .Am local and haven't been for years but will definitely return .

Great reception on arrival,seated straight away even though we were early,food and drink were fantastic,and food came swiftly and hot,would not hesitate to go back again in a blink. Thank you to the staff who looked after .

The food was delicious especially the Garlic Lobster. Good choice of wine. But the waiter was quite rude. We asked for the warm wine to be chilled and he was quite obnoxious with our request!!!!

Totally delicious as always and lovely portions of food Very attentive waiting by staff. My only gripe is the tables. They are very small and as a result sitting next to your dinner companion can be a bit uncomfortable.

Excellent food as always. Fairly slow service although we weren’t too bothered. One order was wrong but we didn’t mind - other people might !

Traditional setting and great atmosphere in lovely area of town. Huge array of fishy classics. Some dishes a little tired and definitely summer berries in winter berry pudding. . Enjoyed it and wine list hit the spot

I treated my wife for lunch on Valentines Day. We were given the window table we requested, we had great service and a delicious meal. So the restaurant was everything we wanted for Valentines Day and we will definitely go again.

First time here and loved it. Food was fantastic and the service was great. Definitely somewhere I’d recommend and will be going back again. Can’t fault it.

A lovely atmosphere, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The menu is full of yummy things and it was very difficult to decide. This is great, as we will definitely return to try some of the other options! Our food arrived very quickly and it was delicious. A good selection of wine too. We will definitely be back and I would recommend to fish and seafood lovers everywhere.

Lovely menu- lovely food and lovely atmosphere. Really enjoyed the whole meal. We had a seafood platter sharer that we great for us! We tried oysters for the first time

Arrived at 7 for a pre dinner drink ( we had booked for 7.45 ) and could have eaten immediately but perused the menu and eventually went to our table at 7.30. Lovely food and wine served promptly with minimum fuss. Highly reccommended.

We had an excellent meal this lunchtime which for us as fish lovers was absolutely on the button and we very much look forward to our next visit. We must also not forget the very attentive staff. Thank you.

Nice restaurant the fish was cooked lovely and the waitress was very nice. We had a bottle of wine which was average price for a restaurant but thought the small bottle of lager was overpriced at £4.50!

Like stepping back in time. Good food, courteous and friendly staff, quirky environment. Could have done with some music as the atmosphere was quite hushed and because the tables are close together the diners were whispering to each other!

We were advised to book as can get very busy. We booked and went on a Monday evening which happened to be quiet. The service was impeccable and the food and wine superb. Full marks.

We had to wait for one meal that was 'forgotten' in a group of six. We were also 'pushed along ' a bit when really they weren't that busy. Food was in the range ok to good though!

Very welcoming, food and drink great, service excellent. David really made being a great waiter look very easy. We have not been for a while and it still ticks all the boxes.
