After great success in Witney in Oxfordshire, this London Indian restaurant opened in 2011 with a welcome focus on refined yet wonderfully creative food. As such, classic Indian flavours with a curious modern twist are to be expected, and with a BYO alcohol policy and no corkage charge, it’s very difficult indeed to go wrong. You’ll find Eastern Cuisine on Gipsy Hill road near the Gipsy Hill station, close to Crystal Palace Park – a cosy and elegant restaurant to enjoy the true taste of Indian cuisine. Londoners couldn’t rate this Indian restaurant any higher, hence it’s very popular and advanced reservations are definitely recommended.
It was a quiet Monday night, wet and horrible outside which might explain why we were the only ones dining in! However, it was definitely busy on the takeaway side. And from what we had, it was easy to see why this little restaurant is popular. The food was lovely from the onion bhajis to the sizzling chicken tikka. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely return again.
