It was super busy but what a great job they all did at serving us and with a smile. They were rushed off their feet yet food was delicious, hot and came quickly. Would recommend
Excellent customer service fantastic food will definitely be returning after lock down.
Very welcoming on entry. Good variety on the menu and quality of food was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere!
Brilliant! Thanks so very much for a lovely evening. :)
We went with 15 people from Iceland to eat at El Molino and had great time . All supporters of Arsenal. Friendly staff and good food and very good price
This restuarant has changed hands. After years of visiting and thoroughly enjoying everything about the place I was very disappointed in how it has changed. Yes the decor has improved but everything else has gone downhill. Prices have had a huge increase and portions have got smaller. 20 of us had a food bill of just over £400. The drinks bill was even higher and I couldn't believe that there was nothing discretionary about the added 10%. A lot more revenue was lost for the owners as we decided to end our day in a local pub where we got value for money.
Charming staff and very adequate food. Made to feel extremely welcome.
Very welcoming relaxed restaurant. Food and wine excellent. Very good service
It was an OK evening. We were very hungry and there was food. The grilled vegetables were very good, the wine good, meatballs average, prawns pretty good. Bread was dreadful - white sponge. Salad OK. The cheese was very tastelesss and I wish we hadn't ordered it. All in all an OK but not inspiring meal.
Great food, service and atmosphere, we'll definitely be back soon.
Booked with a Dine Card for discount - they refused to honour it! Cash only! Bill did not total correctly - Service charge had been added into the total but not itemised!!!
We had a very enjoyable and tasty lunch. Very friendly staff.
Favourite place for quality steak and tapas in Islington Holloway
Yummy food, great service! Nice little find :) thank you!
Great food great drink decent prices we were pleasantly. Surprised and shall definitely be returning
The food was delicious, the staff was lovely, overall a very nice atmosphere
We were running a bit late by 15 mins and called them..kept our table. Even on a match day!! Thankyou. Service very good considering it was full. Food excellent.
Delicious authentic Spanish food and wine, helpful and friendly staff.
Plenty of tasty vegetarian tapas. Disappointed no vegetarian white beans. Food arrived speedily, friendly service.
Great food. Excellent service in a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Thank you
Good food, good service. Left happy and full! Thank you
Good food at a very fair price, the service and staff were friendly and most helpful. This was our second visit, taking a Spanish friend to a Spanish restaurant went very well. Buono fortuna Juve'. Roger Foster, Warwickshire.UK.
Lovely restaurant, large portions, clean toilets and friendly staff. I went with my Spanish boyfriend and we really enjoyed the delicious food, thank you for the great service!
The food is amazing! As always. Yummy steak and the prawns! Wow! services was faultless. Can't wait to go again. Thank you elmolinos for such great service.
Very friendly welcome and attentive staff through the evening. We did not feel rushed with our food. Food was amazing as always we went for a mix of tapas, all came out hot and very delicious. We have been coming to El Molino for the last 9 years and plan to continue to bring our friends and family for many years to come. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere making everyone feel welcome.
Excellent tapas - the croquettes de Bacalao (cod) were particularly good. Warm atmosphere. Pleasant staff. Would certainly come again (as a pre-match lunch or early dinner)
El Molino special tapas starter was perfect for two. The patatas bravas were excellent and cheese delicious. The steak was tender and the sauce flavoursome. The lamb chops well done. The torta de Santiago was perfect and we loved that there was Cruzcampo. Will definitely go again. Aiming for Christmas Day.
The restaurant has had a refurbishment and has lost some of its charm. It is still a good Spanish restaurant with a good choice of tapas and wine. The main courses we selected were a little disappointing. My Lubina, Sea bass was over cooked and dry as was my son‘s chicken dish. I hope our experience was just a bad day. I have been there many times in the past.
Friendly service and delicious food. The meat paella was great, as were the tapas starters. Also had their sangria which was tasty, particularly the bravas and padron peppers
No possibility to pay by card, a bit noisy but food was great and not too pricey We shared 6 tapas for two which was quite filling
Good food and very helpful service! Went on a week night so it was very quiet but the atmosphere was relaxed. And no noise from the Holloway Road! We used a Groupon deal which was for four tapas and a glass of beer or wine. The voucher was accepted but as we don't drink, the replacement for either the wine or beer was not for an equivalent in price. Would definitely recommend El Molino.
Thanx again for fantastic evening. Food exelent and service superb. Always so nice to be there. Kindly staff and low cost. I will be back for sure.
Not a bad environment, lots of Spanish folk there. Service was slow, although the place was nowhere near full. Cold plates for hot food. Hot dishes came at different times instead of being served together, the dish of hot potatoes coming long before everything else. Rice smelled off, although that could have been the particular type of rice, or oil that it had been cooked in. Fish and spinach croquettes were good.
I am not really happy of food served in El Molino. Wasn't very bad but I didn't enjoy much. Very nice people but in my opinion They suppose get better with food served.
Excellent service. Warm family like atmosphere. Home cooked authentic food and great wine at an affordable price. Lovely all round. A hidden gem. I would highly recommend.
This place is fantastic. And the service is unbeliveable. we where group of 10 people and 13 more people arrived with us No problem. Thanx
Great staff - they couldn't do enough! Delicious slice of birthday cake avec not just one, but TWO candles. Grazia. Delicious big plate of spaghetti bolognese.
Always passes by, but never tried. Finally we made it and it has been a real surprise. The food is very nice and the owner he is a real sweet heart. Definitely a place to go to feel a bit of Spanish vibes:)
The staff were very kind and helpful. We had my birthday dinner at the restaurant and they switched off the lights and played "Happy birthday" music while bringing out a cake with candles. They made everyone feel comfortable and most importantly, the food was authentic and delicious.
Great neighbourhood restaurant- service is always friendly and efficient, even when there was a large party (30 people) there at the same time. Tapas are delicious as is the sangria!
Warm and welcoming restaurant with attentive service. We enjoyed the tapas very much and would go back again for another visit. Very enjoyable meal out.
Lovely food Italy enjoyed the manchego cheese and the Russian salad. The chicken escalope Anna pasta are also delicious. Nice friendly family run atmosphere too.
Very delicious food, great service. Good price and authentic Spanish tapas. Will definitely be back again. Fairly priced wine, tapas portions quite generous. Good atmosphere
The service was quick and efficisn't even on a busy Sunday afternoon. Quality of the food was outstanding. We hadn't been to El Molino's for sometime but it was all of high quality. Maria - Royston
This is a great family-run restaurant! Really good food and friendly service. Great value for the quality of the food. I'd def come back here again!
Excellent service. Decent price on a decent house Cava. We ordered tapas including patata bravas, green peppers, octopus, grilled prawns, sardines and ham croquettes. The prawns and sardines weren't exactly what we were expecting, but everything else was delicious
had a great time with my wife and my kids.the staff is very friendly and the food is very tasty i am definitely coming back soon
Good food and lovely staff. Slow service at first as very busy, but was a match day & was late arriving so don't hold that against them.
Atmosphere was nice but unfortunately food was average. The octopus was extremely salty, don't know why they put tons or rock salt on it, none of us could eat it. The chorizo was very good and also the patatas bravas. A bit disappointed with the desserts too, the cheesecake was ok but the Vesuvius ice cream pot had some sort of frozen biscuits inside, as if that wasn't properly thawed before putting it into the ice cream. The ice cream itself was very good though. Service was also not so great, they brought the same dish twice. No one was looking after us properly and after we finished our mains we had empty plates on our table for ages until we asked them to bring us the desserts menu.
The food was delicious, the restaurant is spotlessly clean and simple, with a mellow atmosphere and very attentive staff. It also seems to serve up meals late. Can definitely recommend it.
