If the thought of succulent smoked meats hot off the grill makes you weak at the knees, then The Firepit Smokehouse & Sports Bar will be right up your alley. Their space in Beverley’s Flemingate Shopping Centre, right by Beverley Minster, is the second location for these grill masters, and locals are absolutely buzzing about it. You’ll find a range of delicious American-style dishes on offer here, and it’s the ideal location to kick back with friends, watch the game and treat yourself to one of their steaks, burgers or dishes from the charcoal pit, all washed down with an ice cold beer or real ale, of course. For those who are serious about meat, this is the place for you – so book a spot, you deserve it!
The Firepit Smokehouse & Sports Bar is quite honestly, a carnivore's haven. Think succulent steaks that melt in your mouth, burgers with all the trimmings you could hope for, and flavourful, zesty tacos. If that gets you hot under the collar, then we think you and the team at The Firepit Smokehouse & Sports Bar in Beverley will get along just fine. You’ll also find an extensive range of lagers, beers, craft ales, wine and cocktails as well, so you can be sure that the night will be off to a good start, or if you’re there for lunch it’ll serve as the perfect reprieve from a long day at work, or battling the crowds of Flemingate Shopping Centre.
Start with some American-style jumbo chicken wings with blue cheese dipping sauce, the pitballs, of pastrami mac’n’cheese that are crumbed and fried and some fully loaded chilli nachos to really kick things off. Then things get really enticing. Perhaps tuck into one of their Firepit dogs with your choice of toppings, go for a chargrilled steak with your choice of cut and rub, or go the whole hog with a smoked pulled pork burger served with fries and slaw (sorry, we had to). And there’s plenty more where that came from at The Firepit Smokehouse & Sports Bar. Located in the centre of Beverley in the Flemingate Shopping Centre, these guys certainly know their way around a grill, that’s for sure.
Amazing meal, great prices and an very good and helpful waiter will be visiting again soon 👌 and will be tell my friends and family to go try it out 👍
amazing food and service, i'll definetly be visiting again, loved the atmosphere. Friendly staff and good view for the games thank you very much it didn't disappoint.
There was quite a draught from the back entrance I know we could off moved to another table but it was filling up because of the football, food was good and service good.
Great food, great service good atmosphere, drinks a little over priced and not a great selection but overall I would definitely eat there again 👍🏻
This was our first visit to the Firepit. The evening didn't start well, when the barman explained that 2 of the beers on draught were not available. We were in a party of 4 and after being shown to our table we ordered our food & drinks. The waitress brought the drinks & took our food orders. From reading reviews about the Firepit we eagerly awaited our meals. When the meals came I was a bit disappointed in the presentation of the food but to be fair the wings & ribs I ordered were tasty but not as plentiful as I expected. Two of the party had sweet potato jackets with sides & these were fine. The fourth member of our party ordered a large rib but when it came it was over cooked & clearly had been overcooked. After complaining the staff were happy to exchange the rib for an alternative meal. This meant that 3 of us had eaten & we then had to watch the fourth member of the party have his .Not an ideal situation. So to sum up I felt that the Firepit at Beverley was soulless, the food & beer were ok, The serving staff were very good. There definitely needs to be some quality control in the kitchen area to prevent sub standard food being served. Sorry to say we will not be rushing back.
Really nice atmosphere. Service was great and staff really friendly and helpful. Taco Tuesday was well worth the money for a fiver although I would of preferred the beef brisket to be a bit hotter. I would definitely visit again and would recommend it.
Table had been booked for 6.30 not 8pm like we had asked for but luckily table was still there. Very chaotic in their fairness it was very busy but had to keep going to bar instead of being served at table. There was also 4 different occasions of fighting and drunks having to be removed by security, again not their fault but not good to see. Food was ok.
Really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere would go again :). If you don't like loud bars with sport playing on TVs, this isn't the place for you. But yeah very happy
I won't go again at the time we did. We got there for 6.15 and it was full of roudy lads. When I go for a meal, I don't like to be surrounded by guys stood drinking and playing games right next to us. The eating and games need to be separated!
We had to find someone to take an order. Where told we had to have starter and main delivered at the same time. There were 7 of us and 2 meals would come out and then a five min wait for the next 2 and so on. Our starter came at the end. For those who ordered a meal with the choice of 2 sides - then everyone got the got the wrong sides. When this was pointed out, it felt as though the answer was to swap them between ourselves. The waitress did keep apologising saying she didn't know what had gone wrong. When complained to the Manager, his response was that staff hadn't turned up (not our problem), and he had had to close the kitchen temporarily - never communicated this to us. 7 unhappy diners
