Fora – City of London

Myself and two friends went to Fora for an impromptu lunch as it's a stone's throw from the office. We weren't disappointed as the food, staff and the service, were all first rate. The lunchtime set menu is good value at £13.95 for two courses. Will definitely go back.

Food was nice and fresh and full of flavour. The service was great. We really enjoyed our night. We are Looking forward to our next visit.

Great place , with an excellent and friendly service. I travel to Istanbul quite regularly and this is the closest you will get to eating quality Turkish food.

Been to this restaurant for lunch a couple of times previously. I love it. The food is great and the service is as you would expect. It has always been near full on all my visits which is a good sign and have been well looked after despite it being busy. Will be back.

I have been to this restaurant before and thought the food was delicious, so I booked it again for an early dinner with my family, including two young children after a trip to see Santa. Having paid for a taxi across London I was upset by what I found this time. It was only just past 18:00 and they had very loud music and a large drunk party who were all stood around the restaurant drinking and shouting (they continued to serve them beer after they left their table so they were all stood around the tables). We sat at our table but it was kind of like we were sat on a table trying to have a meal in the middle of a cheesy bar. I know it's the season for the office party, but I thought I might avoid that with the early meal. I think it would have been nice to know first as we did say we had kids with us. We had to leave, and ended up having to eat M&S snacks on the train home, so a very disappointing evening.

The food at Fora is always fantastic, and the service attentive without being annoyingly overwhelming. We had a very enjoyable meal - sadly too full for pudding.

Great service but waited too long for food to come. Entertainment was brilliant and food was nice once it came! A good place to eat out with a nice atmosphere

Good food, great atmosphere and perfect for a business lunch but I also would like to take my wife because its so reasonably priced. Great!

Food was delicious, waitresses very helpful and courteous, ambience on the quieter side which was good as gave our team a chance to converse. Highly recommend.

Food was good, service was good, ambience was good, love this restaurant. We got a selection platter and couldn't finish it all. Recommend the mixed grill!

The music was very loud, which made conversation difficult at points, but apart from that it was an enjoyable evening, the food was good and service was friendly.

Fora has really lovely food, the city menu is really good value for money. The restaurant has a nice environment, music playing & the staff are friendly and attentive.

Excellent as usual, none of my guests had been before, one was sceptical of trying Turkish but really liked it. He said it must be in the top 15 restaurants in London.

Very enjoyable evening. Great atmosphere, I was having dinner with a friend but there were Christmas parties going on. Every table had Christmas Crackers - great food, great service. Second time I have been there and will definitely go back and recommend it to others.

Amazing food, great service and good value for money. The food is authentic and the atmosphere is cosy abd private. Great for a lunchtime catch-up.

Whole meal was lovely. Liver and spicy sausage starters were the stand outs. Nice friendly service, reasonable pricing. Much better to come back to the City for dinner after a show than to be crammed into a mediocre theatreland restaurant.

We visited Fora for a business lunch, well set out tables, Excellent food and service, at a reasonable price for the City. Would go back again.

As usual we had good food and good service on our visit. Generous portions and good choice on the menu although very difficult to beat the set meals.

Food is excellent. Great music. Kadayif is amazing. A bit off the beaten track but worth searching out as you won't be disappointed. Go find it.

Excellent seating plan and by that I mean there's enough distance between each table so you don't feel crammed in and you can hold a conversation without involving the people next to you. Great service and lovely food make this the ideal place for a business or romantic lunch.

Good service and food as usual , friendly staff - dealt well with a group and kept the drinks coming - guitarist is good entertainment

Nice way to spend a Friday night, good food, service and ambience. Love the guitar player. Tried lots of different cocktails and nothing was too much trouble. Half the table had the set menu and half a la carte, very accommodating.

great food and great service. plus nice live music. try their iskander kebab and hummus with meat. Loads of options for veggies as well. My time had a great time.

Good food with excellent service and no after smell, by that I mean my clothes didn't stink of cooking with other similar restaurants people know where you have been without saying a word. Highly recommend and very reasonably priced.

I went with a number of friends for a farewell party the food was delicious and plentiful as always. The restaurant accommodated us putting up a banner and balloon to say farewell to a friend on her travels . It s a favourite with the guys in the office too..

Delicious, interesting food with good selections of wine by the glass. Solo guitarist was a pleasant addition to the experience. Dinner value was excellent. Wine a bit on the high side.

I love Fora. I've never had a bad meal there - City lunchtime menu, Friday & Saturday evenings - always good. Even my husband who is very fussy enjoyed it. The staff are always friendly and efficient. Lots of choice and a good wine list. Please never change!

Great lunch! Good food and staff attentive. Quick lunch or at leisure will come again. Kebabs a must and love the complimentary bread and dip! 😄

The food was tasty, the service was fast and efficient and the portions were ample. The shared starter was a meal in itself! Unlike some of its peers in the city you also had some space around you - they did not simply crowd in as many tables as possible.

Great city venue, always busy. Nice layout and setting. Good service. Great food ! This place is a definite favourite. The chicken kebab is a must !

This is my 3rd visit to Fora and it is a excellent restaurant with friendly staff and excellent food. The Turkish dancer and guitar player are a bonus on a Saturday night. would definitely recommend.

The food was delicious and menu choice was quite varied. The staff were attentive and service was quick. We also enjoyed the live guitar music.

The food was well presented, the flavours fresh and tasty and the portion size generous but not overbearing. There was a nice atmosphere which was complimented by a live guitar player. Overall an excellent dining experience and I look forward to going back there in the future.

The restaurant was very nice and the staff very attentive. The portions were quiet large but it was not the best Turkish food I have tasted. There was entertainment so all in all in good night.

We really like the restaurant, the people there. The food is always great. This time I tried Moussaka, it was the only thing that I say wasn,t 100%, it wasn,t bad, but not in the same level as other foods.

2 people for lunch, seated and served without any delay, food arrived quickly and tasted delicious. Perfect for a business lunch as appreciative of the need to get in and out quicky but quality of meal doesn't suffer as a consequence.

Great place, amazing music, friendly people and really good food. The best cold and hot meze and Turkish delight ever. Always bringing more friends to introduce this restaurant.

They do good food, portions are OK. good value set menus. would definitely visit again, especially at lunch times as thats the best value. very busy so book ahead.

The food was excellent, the service was great. We were eating at at four o'clock so not really lunch or dinner, the restaurant was quite. We had hallumi and also feta/spinach parcels to start and centic specials for mains. Can't fault any of the food and would recommend what we had.

Great food, great wine, great service and all at a very reasonable price. The three of us had starters, main courses, desserts, one beer, two bottles of wine and a large Drambuie and the total cost was only £148. Bargain!!
