We were comfortably seated in the bar area for lunch near the log fire. We all had different main courses which we enjoyed. The service, quality of food and location were good.

Incredible food, service and warmth of welcome - highly recommend to all who are looking for the perfect lunch or dinner out!! Plus the best wine and spirits collection we've ever come across :)

Menu appears to have changed from good, wholesome country pub food to more expensive, nouveau cuisine; very disappointed at the change. Quality of food was good but pricey and portions very small.

Wonderful food, best pub roast in a very long time! Lovely surroundings, atmosphere and service. We will definitely will be visiting again, I want to try out the sofa and roaring fire!

A really pleasant country pub with a good selection of Gin and Ales. The food is very good and the menu contained a good selection to choose from. The staff are attentive friendly and helpful when asked about menu options. I would not hesitate to recommend this place for a nice meal and lovely atmosphere.

This place is consistently good. The menu is always an utter treat. Not a fussy or fancy place. Just really good food, cooked beautifully in really imaginative ways. Not silly money. Good atmosphere. Easy parking.

Really friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere and the service was spot on. Had the roast dinner which was delicious. They even brought my son and daughter an extra Yorkshire pudding as they liked the look of mine.

Lovely meal and surroundings. A small issue with one of the mains was dealt with quickly. Delicious pork belly, and an interesting menu, offering something different from most pubs.

Consistent high standard of food and service . Dishes are imaginative and two courses can be had for only £14.00 and three for £18.000. Recommended.

Lovely welcome when we arrived. Great selection of drinks, good gins and local beer (Gun Dog Ales). Decor lovely and comfortable. Food, brilliant, I had the duck, really interesting spicing and cooked perfectly. Service well paced and not rushed. We’re looking forward to our next visit and great to have a good local pub serving great food.

We are regulars here as the food and service are outstanding. It is the most understated pub with the best food and we've taken many international visitors there who are also really impressed. Highly recommend!

Warm welcome, the food was of high quality, although when our food was brought to us the waitress rushed off so fast and didn't offer us any sauces or more drinks. We will return though

The food was excellent and you could not fault the location, atmosphere, cleanliness or decor. However, I was disappointed with the service at the table as it was slow and we kept having to attract the attention of the server.

Superb! Love eating at the Fox & Hounds, from the friendly welcome to the amazing food beautifully presented and with a constantly changing and imaginative menu, wide choice of unusual wines at a reasonable price and caring & knowledgeable service without being fussy. It's comfortable and unpretentious but with really really delicious dishes worthy of Masterchef! Just lovely.

I met friends for Sunday lunch and we all had lovely food. We enjoyed the food choices and it was good to hear that the menus were change regularly. The restaurant was well presented and the staff were all polite. We all look forward to eating there again soon. Ann

Amazing food and beautiful drinks... what more would you want?!?! Staff are superb and very helpful. Wine list was more of a dictionary and could possibly be revised to be easier understood... finding a decent white was more like searching for the proverbial needle in the haystack!

We had a lovely time. The staff are superb, very attentive and the food is superb also. We use this restaurant frequently, drawn back by the food and the great ambience.

Fabulous pub with fabulous food and atmosphere. The best Sunday lunch we have had in a very long time! We would highly recommend that you try it.

Enjoyed a very good Sunday lunch, good choice on the menu if you didn't want the roast dinner. Vegetables were cooked perfectly, and the portions just right. Excellent choice of wine too.

Always a lovely menu with a small but delicious selection of food that changes daily.

Over priced, long wait, food was ok. Was never asked for another drink, went through the entire meal stretching a half full tumbler of water. In the end husband had to request another drink. Finally was asked for another drink after the table cleared and we were wanting to pay to leave. For the amount that was charged on food one would expect tidier nice restroom facilities.

Food superb, with an unusual array of dishes but intermingled with stable dishes beautifully presented, staff and landlord welcoming and attentive, party of 7 well looked after, food served in good time, absolutely no complaints, would recommend to friends and family and will visit again.

Dined here with friends we hadn't seen for some time. Excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere. Bar was cosy and the selection of gins amazing!

We had a truly lovely family evening at The Fox and Hounds. Food chosen was across the menu selection, well cooked, and imaginative, and very tasty. We very much all enjoyed relaxing in your dining room, and will come again soon to Revisit what was such a pleasure. (Actually it was one members 60th Birthday, but was too embarrassed to have the cake there.) ( it would be a great place to enjoy such a occasion.) Thank You to the Staff at the Pub.

Lovely venue and staff but unfortunately feel that the standard of food has dropped. It was ok, just nothing special. Long waits between courses too - was left feeling quite disappointed as we went for a special occasion.
